This was a highly enjoyable chapter, I would say it's MVP was Baby 5 and her ridiculous powers.
The color-spread was amazing as well, though I am curious why Blackbeard and Shanks'e eyes were all black.

Whoa…..that's an amazing colorspread! Luffy, the Straw Hats, Law, the Heart Pirates, Kinemon, Momonosuke, the Supernova, Akainu, Doflamingo, Shanks, Blackbeard, and Big Mom…..the "new age" ties in perfectly to the fact that a new year of OP is coming up. :)
So, the chapter. I said that Franky being oneshotted or Baby 5/Buffalo being oneshotted would both be bad.....but thankfully, it wasn't either. Franky managed to catch the two of them off guard, but they make a good team....plus they bounced back. More of a stalemate, really.
Thankfully, Baby 5 can turn into weapons themselves, which...is pretty damn cool.
And we finally learn that Caesar has Smoker's heart on him.....mm, that could be bad. How exactly are the others supposed to get it back?
Luffy and his crew get the kids....and escape on a minecart with everyone else (again, I wonder how the Mocha situation will turn out. She's still unconscious, but there doesn't seem to be any indication if she's getting better or worse. Hopefully Oda will focus more on it and wrap it up.)
And then......oh, damn.....Momo has seen his father petrified.....(I assume he only said "Kinemon"?! because he recognized the name?). Like with Mocha, I really want to see how Oda will conclude Kinemon's story.
And then, finally......damn it. Monet managed to get up. Doflamingo called her and......geez, she's prepared to destroy the island with a single button and take everyone with her? How will this play out.....? Quite the cliffhanger for the last chapter of the year!
(hopefully, hopefully, HOPEFULLY this will destroy any remaining Monet supporters once and for all. For crying out, people, she has obeyed Doflamingo and is prepared to blow everyone up.)
Good chapter.....there's a lot of unresolved plot points, and we have to wait a while to see how all of it will end.

Someone's probably guessed this but the heart that Cesar's going to crush is Monet. Law probably swapped it out, I mean he had both hearts,
Smoker's and Monet's, so he probably knew beforehand to keep Smoker's heart with him since it's more valuable.I think the concensious is that Ceaser has her heart and he is going to squeeze it now, thus preventing her from hitting the button.
Also what a weak explosion for Baby 5. Franky survived a much bigger one when he pushed Vegapunks button back on the island he upgraded on. And this time Franky is inside his machine. I"m guessing the explosion destroys General Franky and franky will then have to fight outside of it. But destroying general franky is equivalent to zero damage, cause so far that general franky has been pretty pathetic damage wise and nothing to boast about.
And that's what I should read the threads beforehand. Agreed, as soon I saw panel I was like, "umm bro, it's not Smoker's heart." Also I think Franky's machines are self healing or he can take the parts and control them to reconstruct after they're destroyed….that would be kind of cool.

Kind of off topic question as it just revolves around Jump release dates over double issue breaks, but do double issue editions of Jump stay out for sale right up until the next issue or do they only release say one weeks worth of printing? I'm leaving to study in Japan on New Years day and quite man I really don't want to miss out on such a banging colour spread.
They stay out until the next issue comes out.
This is usually not a problem with Jump, but when something really cool is in the Jump (oh I dunno like a freakin' awesome One Piece spread) it may run out in many bookstores, especially when it's going to be on shelf for a while.You may get lucky, but you're probably gonna have to run to a kiosk as soon as you get off the plane for one.
Jump prints close to 3 million copies every month… as opposed to Sunday which prints like 1/6 of that.
When Magi anime hit the air, Weekly Shounen Sunday was flying off the shelves and gone in a day after the Wednesday release dates. -

It has only been two years. Not much an artist can do to change an appearance. Especially on people over 20, let alone 30, 40, ect.
There is only a few things to do.
1. Change facial hair or hair style
2. New scars, ect.
3. New wardrobe/outfit
4. Extreme weight changeI mean hell even the strawhats can be attributed to those things. And they were in the age where they could make a slight change physically without resorting to those.

The explosion is big enough to wipe out where their cart is heading. It's supposed to destroy the tanker as well. And the tanker is where Franky is and the cart heading, correct. Not to mention if its not her heart, then that means Smoker gets his heart crushed and dies. Cart moving or not.

For all the parallel with Croc and Dofla, I think one of the most blaring difference is how Croc trusts no one, not even his right-hand woman, while Dofla seems to have a great deal of trust in his crew. (Caesar isn't a crew, just someone working for his organization.. like Disco and Bellamy)

Law can only warp them someone inside his "room"
He can't create a room that would be further away than the explosion. So any warping would be meaningless.
