Also, using Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 for the ending credits pretty much makes this the best episode of anything ever.
This.
I've turned my grandma into a fan of this show because of it.

Caught up.
How those two kids scared Grunkle Stan was pretty hilarious, among other things.
An antler falls off the jackalope (1x01) and then Stan tries to fix it. (1x10)

Dat continuity…
Good eye, Nia.
Now Stan needs to fix the sign on his house so that it actually reads "Mystery Shack." After all, he's cured his fear of heights…
You know…It took me however many episodes there are now to see that it says "Mystery Hack", possibly a jab at Stan...
I really am slow...

I didn't pay attention to the joke either. So don't feel tooo bad.
I guess my avatar can tell what I think about Summerween episode.
I am convinced that the Summerween store clerk is Squidward's soul mate.
Oh, the cantankerous times they would have…
Finally gave the show a chance. Oh my god, I love it. Is the name supposed to be a spin on Twin Peaks?
I saw the Summerween episode, the wax figures episode (Larry King fucking killed me), and the first episode ever.
Very cute and funny show. I don't have the fighting game episode recorded yet, so I'll have to wait til they show that one again.

Welcome aboard, my friend.
Now if we can just get you to watch MLP.
I've watched it. I think it's a good show, but it's not really my thing.
Already for Summerween doods~

Aww yeah, character of the year all years.
Seriously Soos putting the batteries in that skull thingy was just awesome.
The episode kept progressively getting better. I thought maybe the thing sprouting arms and legs and getting ready to eat the children was too scary for the chill'ens, so that was why Soos ran him over so suddenly. But nope! He reappears and things ramp up in tension even more!
And Grunkle Stan and his pure evil comment at the end. Just marvelous, especially in the context of being on Disney. Disney may show death, yeah, but the element of a firm good vs evil dynamic has always been one of its linchpins. Gravity Falls keeps blurring that with the MC's not always doing the most charitable thing.
"I ate a man alive tonight" is my favorite line from this series

Don't you mean twaumatized.
Amazing, Disney Channel Brazil is airing Gravity Falls every weekend. The thing is they are airing it at 5 morning… Horrible.
Gravity Falls is also coming to Disney Channel Asia!
… crap I wish I still had cable. ;___;
Oh, snap. Just realized there was a thread for this. I really should have known, considering all the GF sigs and avatars around here.
So yeah, happened to watch the first episode at my baby cousin's sleepover. Was instantly hooked. Love all the characters, the overall theme, the humor, and… the VOICE ACTING! Oh, gawdy, this is the first show in a long time where I actually can't wait for the next episode!
This guy/girl's tumblr is the best thing ever.
!
Anyway, I managed to watch a part of a brazilian dubbed episode and it's horrible. The voices are not even similar and the VAs don't even try to be like the originals. Dipper sounds like a silly boy, Mabel sounds like a 16-year old girl and Stan… poor Stan... He's doomed.
Summerween Trickster is totally badass.
every time i see rob renzetti's name in the credits
it makes me so happy
Gravity Falls on Disney Channel (No new episodes in November)

!
I didn't even notice XD
Also, this is just adorable:
I wonder if there's a real life Stan by now.
I have been catching up on the reruns on Diseny Channel, the last few weekend. I'm pretty much enjoying the show. Stan in my opinion is the best character of the show, with Mabel in 2nd place.
Watched the first episode of this. Pretty good.
The background and motion blur they use on it (and the lighting!) is really great.
The show as a whole I'm still unsure. I enjoyed it, but I'll need to see more and see if it "grabs" me.
Working on a Biology Project, so I guess I could have the episodes run while I cram on that.
Watch more, Cook…watch it now...
Watch more, Cook…watch it now...
Shuhan's advice has never turned me wrong. 9_6
Watching episode 3 right now, and will probably watch episode 4 as I finish a Bio project.
So are these still being made? Or was the show cancelled?
Or was the show cancelled?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
…..Oh God, I hope not.
Nah, seriously, the show's just on a bit of a hiatus now. They should have more episodes in the next month or so.
It's just Disney's wonky scheduling. Phineas and Ferb has been running since 2007 and ends its third season (which began March of last year) at the end of this month. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't take them a year or more to show the first season of Gravity Falls.
What? I was there thinking Phineas and Ferb had 6 seasons or something. Only 3? (yeah, don't repeat that. I'm just a bit surprised)

While we're on the topic, who do you think is worse in scheduling as far as getting new episodes out? Disney or CN?
I'd say Cartoon Network; Disney takes forever to finish airing a season (though, to be fair, the last two seasons of Phineas and Ferb have had 34+ episodes each), but the shows maintain a presence on their network and Disney leverages the hell out of them where merchandising is concerned. With a few exceptions, CN shows vanish off the face of the Earth without rhyme or reason before returning with little to no promotion.
Look at Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporation disappearing from the schedule for well over a year before returning to air half a season before going on an extended hiatus.
At least CN is really good with their hit shows. They pimp the shit out of Adventure Time. Everything outside of the top 1-2%, though, might as well just find the nearest cartoon orphanage, since their real parents aren't going to raise them.
I kind of figure the case with Gravity Falls is that production times take a while to keep it up to standard, which I'm completely okay with.

That's probably it.
Disney acknowledged the show being very successful and the production values are top-notch in every episode, probably the best of any cartoon as of right now.
At least we can be confident that the show is worth the wait.

Half of those shows were major hits when they premiered though; Generator Rex hit the ground running, had a hiatus, and never recovered before being cancelled with several episodes unaired (for ratings that exceed Level Up, which they advertise the hell out of and give a prime timeslot to, gets by a good margin). SDMI was getting great ratings, went away, came back to great ratings in a horrendous timeslot, and has been in a holding pattern for months now.
With Cartoon Network, it's really a matter of whether or not you fit into what the company thinks people should be watching rather than what they are.

Even if Level Up isn't doing as well, Level Up is probably still going because its making more profit. It cost less to produce, which may enough to still make a bigger profit with less viewers.
Considering the amount of promotion it gets as well as the fact that its ratings are low enough that they are almost certainly having a negative impact on the shows around it (it loses viewers from its lead-in and doesn't help the show following it much either), I'd expect that the cheaper production costs are more than offset by the loss in revenue. Its status as a pet project is the only reason it's stuck around this long since other live action shows with its audience were canned after a single season.
Well, fully caught up now. Can I say "best animated show ever"? Cause I'm totally saying it.
Everyone's amazing, pretty much everyone. Soos is my favorite main character, and my favorite side character is that little guy constantly swooning over Wendy's dad. For some reason he cracks me up.
That Summerween monster really twaumatized me.
I think his name is Tyler, but i could be wrong.
Just watched an episode for the first time and i loved it, and the Danish voice actors does not suck. AAAAAW YEAAAH!!!

Has this been posted here yet? I think this needs to be posted here.
!
Cartoon Network does this all the fucking time and I'd think Disney would be guilty of it too, but that production value comment in this thread swayed me back into neutral waters on the subject.
