A rhetorical question can encourage discussion just as much as a direct question, so you're wrong.
The only reason you dislike the new points is because there wasn't a chapter yet where Chopper puts a buddha's-palm-sized hoof into Big Mom or otherwise demonstrates a cool technique beyond what he has done previously.
It's a well-established pattern in this manga, so to complain about that of all the other things is just strange.

I am aware of the combining of the two points, although to a lesser extent(jumping not as high, arms not as powerful). it just seems to me that if he trained for two years and ended up with a point less, what's the use of the training? You could say that he mastered the monster point, but I don't even see him needing that, unless it's a really serious battle. And being able to transform into his other six points at will actually isn't that big of a power-up if he still almost exclusively uses two points, in this case brain point and kung-fu point(probably because it's new).

and although I think the kung-fu point is awesome, I don't see it doing a carving hoof attack, one of the attacks of the arm point. other than screaming hochaa all the time I don't see kung-fu point doing anything of that magnitude.

I really don't think having more points automatically makes Chopper stronger. Rather, having the power of two points condensed into one is a much better show of power in my opinion. It's just a tad more economic.
I can't give much of a discussion for the rest of the post because Chopper hasn't traveled particularly far into the New World nor has he been involved in a respectable amount of fights.

I thought I was the only person who still remembered those things. For the longest time I thought they were the giant kids' parents, but I was wrong there. Still, I think they're going to play a bigger role in the immediate future.

Incidentally, I've always had the gut feeling there's something fishy with the whole Momonosuke character. We've not seen a hair of this kid (which is something Oda always delights in doing to bait the audience and hype more), and no one else seems to know about him – not even Caesar seems to know why Kinemon is on the island.

It is strange that Kinemon didn't react with Law's presence in this chapter. The first time they met, Kinemon was searching for his son and was beaten and cut up by Law. The second one, was when Sanji was carrying Kinemon's head and they met in the rear entrance of the Lab. There, when Sanji and the others were trying to escape from Smoker and G-5, Kinemon asked Sanji to come back, possibly to ask Law for his son (he said that Law should not have the other parts of his body, so he didn’t want to talk about it)… Now they have met for the third time and nothing happens between them. Kinemon thinks that Momo is inside the lab, but he didn't know where; and he is trying to find him quickly before the 2 hours limit. Then he would had to ask Law about Momo; it would take just a minute and it could worth a try…, don’t you think so?

It just doesn't. He has the potential for 8 forms total, whatever these might be, if he lost one it'd just not be right considering what his fruit and Rumble granted him before.

No, it makes perfect sense. Chopper said that he gained control over his transformations. If I gained control over them and I could merge two weaker forms into a potentially stronger one, I'd do just that because it is more useful. The whole point of having extra forms besides the typical Zoan transformations is utility and if a single form contains the abilities of two, then that's fine. I think it'd be pretty boring if all of Chopper's forms had remained the same after two years, anyway, and I'm glad for the reduction.

I wasn't talking about gaining or losing power anywhere in that post, and it's not nonsensical if you look at it the way I put it in my first sentence (not that I'm saying it's right..it's probably not)..
but if the rumble ball gave him 8 points of transformation with one that he couldn't control at all, to me it would make sense to take the most useful parts of 2, combine them into one point, leaving the remaining to help gain control of his monster point.
That to me is logical, may not make sense (to me it does though)..

Yeah but it's a difference of having the actual power to decide what the transformations will be, like building blocks, or being given certain ones - like all other Zoans. It's not Chopper's choice what his transformations are.

That's your opinion. I'm.. somewhat glad they've changed. However I prefer his old Horn Point, and I liked that he actually looked more mature back then. I'm not glad about the reduction at all.
Again, I'll just say that I personally think it makes no sense that his total number of transformations got "reduced".

Also, saying that Arm+Jumping Point=Kung Fu Point is only speculation at this point (no pun intended), it wasn't ever stated.

Also, it's power-up logic. If 1 Rumble Ball allows Chopper to achieve his strongest form, then 3 should allow him to achieve an even stronger form, but that would be unnecessary and repetitive, so it's very unlikely to happen again.

The rumble ball works (to my understanding) by allowing Chopper to alter the wavelengths of his transformation in such a way that he can achieve peak performance in specific areas of his choosing. At it's most basic, the Human Human Fruit gives Chopper the option of being a beast (one wavelength), a human (another wavelength on the other end of the spectrum), and a hybrid (the absolute middle of the spectrum between the two wavelengths).
The rumble ball would allow Chopper greater concentration and control over his transformations, giving him the ability to settle into any wavelength between the three points of his transformation spectrum. By this logic, he would theoretically be able to transform into an infinite number of points, but only a select few points are actually useful in any sense, so he focuses on those wavelengths exclusively(Arm, Jumping, Horn, and Guard).
During the time skip, Chopper trained himself to be able to access certain useful wavelengths without the use of a rumble ball. It is entirely possible that he would still be able to access Jumping Point should he want to, but if Kung Fu Point possesses an already satisfying amount of jumping power with tremendous arm strength, then logically, he would choose to go with Kung Fu Point for most of his battles.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, the number of points that Chopper "says" he can transform into reflects the number of points that he wants to transform into. The actual number of points possible is infinite.

I could see that happening. But what about Jinbe's belongings? I suppose what ever he has is just as good in the water as it is on dry land. Plus he will probably swim 100 times faster than that boat could ever carry him.
