New EU zoro vs mihawk trailer
! -
I'm glad the text looks a lot better now than in that hastily subbed trailer. If only I had a PS3, I'd be supporting this with all my might!
-
U can support it with all your might, get a ps3 to go along with it and u good to go :-p
-
I don't have a PS3 as well, but I'll buy the collector's edition just for the Sunny and to support the EU-release of One Piece games.
And no, I won't regret this, although this game might not be the best game ever. -
To me this game is sh*t, but I've ordered it in special edition 'cause… at least it's One Piece. :getlost: Hope the Sunny won't be the only extra I'll receive, I could have had that for half the price from big in japan.
-
I was going to buy this game but I found out Thriller bark isn't in this game :getlost: Well, I'm considering buying it but Idk. It looks kind of boring and repetitive throughout the game. And no Moriah and Eneru.
-
Being an owner of the game and a long time Musou fan, my advice remains to you folks.
Save your money. The game really isn't that good. I normally clock 70-150 hours on a musou game, I only clocked 20 on this one, despite it being One Piece. Didn't even platinum it, despite it being an easy platinum.
Just wait for the inevitable second game. It'll have more characters, levels, and be better balanced and tweaked, and hopefully remove a lot of the problems. And given how long its taken the game to come stateside, it probably won't be that far off before part 2 is announced for Japan.
-
I was like fully motivated to buy this game, but after seeing ppl's comments about the game I guess I'll keep my money.
Oh well I'll just wait for the sequel. -
I'm…a pirate .
-
But isn't it more a matter of letting Namco know we want the games to come to the states more often by buying the only game they're seeing fit to release here? Unlimited Adventure was probably a better game, but the US sales were such a disaster that it took years to even get another, not to mention digital only and undubbed. Isn't it like how we had to bite the bullet and buy movie 8, or the filler DVD sets, and just put our money where our mouth is? Again, I don't have a PS3 and can't afford one right now, so maybe I'm in no position to talk, but I want the games to get better treatment as much as anyone.
-
Yeah, I own a PS3 and I plan to get Pirate Warriors. It'll be a fun few hours (maybe more) even if the game is repetitive and I get to support One Piece in the states, which is always a good thing.

Agreed. I'm not happy about the "no dub" and digital only status. But am still getting the game, now is not the time to be picky.
Hell were even lucky we got a one piece game at all.
-
Yeah this is why I bought Unlimited Cruise part 1 and 2 again for the 3DS despite owning the Wii versions. They seem to be rethinking whether or not to release stuff a lot here. (We got an ignored release of Gigant Battle 1 since it was released months in advance in other EU countries and Gigant Battle 2. Which is probably one of the best OP games didn't even get a EU release at all)
Maybe if we got the Sunny version or the release was £20 on launch I'd pick this one up again. But I finished the Japanese one 100% and this offers nothing new at all. Not even amusing scenes to watch in english subbed.

Musou is probably the best we've gotten released here, Unlimited Cruise was a poorly crafted "Action-RPG" that took about 5 minutes to push you head first into a ditch of pointless grinding and invisible walls. I will be buying Musou in English just to understand some of the stuff, I already bought the treasure box when It came out in Japan and all on a minimum wage job, I like to support One Piece where I can.

Which I'm sure we can agree is much better then the $120 that a ton of games retail for. I would buy the Collectors but I dunno if that Sunny is worth $60.

Sweet! It's coming out September 25!! That's my birthday. Avengers comes out that day too. Best birthday ever!!!

My birthday to bro! It's gonna be a fun one :D

I believe the fans should buy the PS3 game regardless of its quality just to ensure One Piece's future in video games in the west. Heck, buy it even if you don't have a PS3, if sales do good they might even work in making a port for 360 for increased sales in the west in future releases.

My thoughts exactly! Can't wait for my collector's edition, I'll import it from amazon france. And I don't have a PS3, so I'll just use the ones of my buddies.
-
Yea every member here should buy a copy of it, even if they don't have ps3!
-
Though to be fair, Europe doesn't have much fear in losing the games, and you can't get the game in the US without a PS3; importing for a solid disk won't help US sales numbers. That's the rub, in't it?

If they continue doing silly things like splitting games into two and then charging full price for each half they'll lose it.
-
So they weren't just taking the lead of Japan on that, then?

Japan the UC SP game on 3DS was 1 and 2 together on one cart and one price. EU was seperate cart and full price for each cart.

Been playing through the Japanese version as best I can, but I was kinda bummed after Alabasta ended and the game skipped right to CP9 :( My favourite arc seems to always be looked over. Oh yeah, does anyone know if the "another log" feature is original stories or main plot? Should I wait for the English version to come out?

Its just the other characters running through the exact same story Luffy just went through, but without the platformer stages.
For about half of the crew it means ONLY the Sabondy level.
For the non-crew it just means the Impel Down stage and Marineford… and not even ID for some of them.
(You can play any character on any story path, but they have to beat their own to get any credit for it. Zoro's path will be the one you end up spending time grinding on, since it has the most stages and thus, the highest difficulty by the end.)

No, no, no and again NO.
Sorry but I really hate this kind of thoughts. This is a game, and a game it's worth to be bought when it's good, despite what it's based on. The game already sold too much than how it deserves in Japan, there's really no need of people buying it just "cuz' iz' One Piece", instead people should write tons of mails to Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei to let them know how shitty this game is. They made the worst thing they could have thinking "Hey, it's One Piece, they'll buy it anyway!", and sadly they were right. They will also duplicate they're money with the sequel (because there will be a sequel) which will be exactly the first game with some new stage and 3 or 4 new characters; I also think outside Japan it will be even for Xbox 360, that only means other easy money!
Until they will know One Piece brand sells despite product's quality they will give us the worst videogames possible, and I can't accept this. I made the mistake to preorder the european limited edition even if I already knew everything about the game and I regret it, but I won't make the same mistake a second time. I'll also try to let the producers receive my thoughts even if they will just delete the mail without reading it.
I'm really disappointed about this game, to me there's nothing good in it, if it wasn't about One Piece I would just have laughed out loud to somebody that suggested me to buy a similar game, but I've already paid half the price and don't want to lose my money. -
^
Well I like the game…

Can't see how, but that's different than "Buy the game so they will know we want One Piece". Sincerely with this game I feel like I've been joked by them.

My comment was aimed at North America, not Europe since they've been receiving pretty much every One Piece videogame in the last couple of years. One Piece sells in Europe but not that much in the NA, for now. The last One Piece game we had here in NA was One Piece Unlimited Adventure for the Wii, we've missed every other game released afterwards because the game didn't sell at all. If we in NA just bitch about the game it will just further prove to Namco Bandai that One Piece videogames do not appeal to us in NA when it sells a lot in Japan and gets good reviews there. Fans in NA should buy the game so that Namco Bandai can bring us more of it in the future.
I understand why you don't like the game, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people won't like it. I love the game, I have the Japanese Treasure Box, and I will buy the game when it comes out here in NA to support the franchise.

I will buy and support any One Piece game, to ensure the future of One Piece games. It's unfathomable that anybody would think otherwise. It sounds to me like this just isn't your type of game, and that's your basis for calling it "shitty", "the worst thing they could have made", and other such baseless hyperbole. It's a perfectly adequate beat-em-up. Much preferable to the grind-fest of Unlimited Cruise. Do you really think that if people stopped buying it, they'd all stop and go, "Whoa! Guess we'd better make the best game ever!"? No, they'd all come to the conclusion, "Gee, guess nobody cares about this series", and move on to other projects. They kind of need sales figures to justify all the time and effort that goes into making a sequel.

My limited edition is gonna be shipped soon just for conformation here's a picture telling the tekst of it as to be expected tekst in : ENGLISH,German,French,Spanish and Italian so the languages you would expect manual has even more languages.
On that matter they are nuts not officially pouting this out in the UK etc, online store's could easly have done it instead of only listing it in the South of Europe :wassat:
-
It's 'not' being put out in the UK because we have two major retailers for games and they wouldn't go near this at all. (They also didn't go near games like the Tales Of series, Last Story, Catherine etc) Most others are supermarkets or Grainger Games (which will have this imported)
Actually now that I think about it. Aside from Grainger Games I don't think I ever saw Dynasty Warriors 7 XL or Warriors Orochi 3 in stores either.
But the online shops etc will be stocking, as will most shops that import games. It will get a release to those who know about it. Not chancing putting them on shelves when they can use the space for Borderland 2 which they know people will just walk in and buy.

How to import collector's edition to america?

How to import collector's edition to america?
Well Amazon.de,it and es sad they shipped it internationally but the only place still available for order is Amazon.fr which doesn't ship it outside of Europe you could try ebay but that's gonna be like $200 for ya try some import websites that might have it your also pretty late for it i guess.
Here's an action still going 2 left at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/One-Piece-Pirate-Warriors-Collectors-Limited-Edition-NOT-RELEASED-IN-UK-/330794815522?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item4d04e85022#ht_977wt_932 (on ebay.de you can find still way more of them)
-
Well I'll just be happy with the standard edition for £25 which is preparing for shipping now!!! Can't wait to get this, almost forgot about it as I pre-ordered so long ago!! I haven't read any reviews, watched any video's or spoilers. Only thing I know is that SkyPiea isn't includes sad but no worries. Atleast it's cannon!
Played through and completed UA, UC1/UC2 on Nintendo Wii + FOTNS: Ken's Rage on PS3 and loved them all so expecting this to be a superb mash-up of the 2!!! Looking forward to the weekend!!
-
If anyone wants to play co-op I'll be online soonish. add enel16
-
That price is absurd. I'd pay 70-80$ for it. No more.
-
Is the Collectors Edition Sunny even worth all that extra money, you could just buy the DX one for a lot less, no?
