I am still a little bit baffled that Germany got the final free kick on Italy's side and when the ball was kicked the refs blew the whistle when it was a couple of seconds after the extra time. Why give Germany the kick when you are gonna blow the whistle seconds later?
However, Italy was awesome today, with Buffon and Balotelli getting players of the match

Man, I love when Germany plays against Italy. It always amazes me what psychological advantage Italy has over Germany in every football game, it's like Italy is Germany's kryptonite. Germany has a better chance winning against Spain or even Brazil then them.

Germany's defense was awful awful awful. Great ending though, good pk by Özil and I liked that header by Neuer.
Nothing against Italy really, I was hoping for a Spain-Germany rematch, but tbh Italy was just better today and deserved their win. Hope they destroy Spain in the final.

Germany fought back each time Italy came down, and Germany just didn't play defense, where Italy did.
I saw it as an even game with Italy finishing, and I'm saying stats back me up.

wow what a game. we simply owned them, we showed them how to play. if not for dinatale, montolivo and marchisio, it would end 3/4-0. germany was no good in the midfield and did not put enough pressure on pirlo, who's the main threat as usual. defense was bad and offence was absolutely boring, they did not manage to put a single dangerous cross in the area.
i was expecting germany to play very good, instead we saw probably the best italy since the semifinal in 2006. and extremely surprised by our defence which was not supposed to stand so good.
now we have nothing to lose against spain, we already proved we can compete with them so we have to believe in it, losing would not be a problem anyway. -

I wonder who Spain will start. Torres had some effect when he came on as a sub during the last game so if they gamble with him again, it might turn out well. But then again, its a huge gamble. If fabregas starts, they might try to play a different game from last time so HOPEFULLY this becomes a good game to watch

Spain are hardly underdogs at the moment; you're gauging the general opinion about a national competition in terms of a single forum. In fact, the bookies have them slightly ahead. There's a couple of factors that're keeping them ahead in terms of odds, but form is not one of them. So yeah, they're favourites on paper, and evenly matched at the very least in terms of actual performance expected.
Its a lovely day for Serie A fans.
