@JiYan:
Edit1: For those who are saying its Law's dad, wouldn't Law's dad call him Trafalgar? He called him Law. It would be like Dragon calling Luffy "Mugiwara" dont you think? Might be a translation error or im just wrong. But to me, a dad wouldn't say call his son like that.
Why would the father call Law by the family name???When Oda does give a character a last name, Oda uses the Japanese style of naming where the family name is first, given name last=
Monkey D Luffy
Monkey D Garp
Moneky D Dragon
Portgas D Ace
Gol D Roger
Portgas D Rouge
Rorona Zoro
So Tragalgar is the family name and Law is his personal, given name. So if the wild speculation of "its his dad!" then it would fit to call him Law, not Tragalgar.
@CCC:
And mystery man is obviously not Doflamingo. He's missing Doflamingo's characteristic bowleggedness, and Doflamingo saw Law at the war two years ago, by which point he was already grown-up, of course. And that's the same reason that it can't be Aokiji or anyone else from Sabaody or the War.
EDIT: Oh… as Knaxern already said.
Ah thank you! Everyone keeps saying "the clothing/jacket/shoes looks like character X" but they fail to realize that cclothing style changes. When Robin was first shown after timeskip, we see ehr shoes and bottom of skirt. We would have not guessed that it was Robin from that since Robin never wore a long skirt before, it was short skirts. Clothing changes people.
ITs fine to say "its Doflamingo/Sabo" (they are faves to joke about) as a joke but silly to take it seriously as that.
Its the posture that we should look at. As CCC pointed out the mystery guy does not stand/walk the same as Doflamingo- Oda has always shown him to be bowlegged and hunch his shoulders over as he walks. The mystery guy is standing straght, from the neck to the legs.
@Thousand:
Am I the only one who loves Sanji-Nami and wishes that he/she was Nami's character? I mean if you wrote the traits on paper, she would be a super-great female character. Nami is great and all but Sanji-Nami is so much more interesting if it was actually a woman with those characteristics and not a man in a woman's body. She kicks, she smokes, she has perverted thoughts, she acts badass all the time. Yes men do that stuff all the time but it's different when a woman does it because of how rare it is to see a woman act like that and it totally feels different and I think it's awesome.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Speaking of awesome female characters, Monet is also turning out to be pretty awesome. She was overlapping with Robin's character at first but now she's developing to be this totally cool psycho babe who revels in things going pear-shaped just because she loves how crazy the situation can get. And she wears nerd glasses. Awesome.
I have to agree on those points. IF Sanji was a female I would like the character's personality better for the simple reason its rare to see a female with those charactsics you pointed out
But I really do love Monet's character. I'm gonna miss her once the arc is over, I hope Oda doesn't just toss her aside and we rarely see her later. I hope its like Law, a character that reappears in other story arcs
@The:
Monet was simply undressing him with her eyes. She also wants some Trafalgar balls too. lolololololololo She's like…the female Sanji.
LOL and thats why I'm enjoying her character.
People may say that Oda gives the pretty women the same body style (Oda broke that by creating Monet's current form) but he sure knows how to give them different personalities.
