Nice chapter, Luffy having fun with Smoker and Tashigi was hilarious, the appearance and the effect of the slime was initiated good and Caesar´s face at the end was the really the best. He was just boasting about his creation and how he would defeat the marines + SHs but Luffy, as usual, just doesn´t give a fuck about that and just attacks.

Great chapter, Smoker is still strong in Tashigi's body. Can't wait for a good Smoker v. Luffy fight later on. Luffy grabbed CC, I doubt that will last as soon as CC recognizes what is happening. The slime is weak to fire and water so I'm expecting a diable jamble, red hawk, and maybe a Zoro flame attack to beat it. No Law though :(

Okay now remembering someone else's point… how did it make it through the hot side without exploading... Would this mean that it could control when it explodes...?

I'm guessing it being near the lake allowed it to be far enough away from the actual flames that it didn't explode… just a guess

I don't find him interesting as much as other characters but I like his design and I really want to see a Luffy/CC fight (and with that see CC's powers)

Quick, Okay chapter this week. Kind of like last week.
-It's really fun to see Luffy tackling Smoker and Tashigi.
-Hmm, the slime seems more sentient than it originally seemed to be.
-Why keep the flammable slime in a fire-filled place? Granted, it looks like it has to make direct contact with fire, but it really seems kind of stupid.
-Finally, Caesar is already caught? I hope we get at least a little bit of struggle with him. I think he's been fairly well set up as an total asshole. I just want him to get beaten in some way, shape or form.Really short this week, but looking forward to next week.

"Is doing something weird..."Chapter was alright though seemed to just feel like padding for what's to come.
This arc really feels like it's gonna be a short one and I'd rather have it like that then say a five volume brawl on a deserted island.
Hopefully this will end up being quite reminiscent of Little Garden and I'm hoping that Caesar gets to play a larger role in the One Piece continuity then just arbitrary villain of an arc.
Also love me some Franky in the spotlight role -

That explosion page was worthy of a Franky-thumbs up, also near an explosion. I love when you do experimental pages like that Oda! (I have to admit, I was worried for a second there… "An explosion panel this big in One Piece?" but seeing how Oda executed made it all worthwhile. There's a certain series which has made explosions have as much meaning as little flat poofs (Bleach)).
I was tired as hell reading this but something felt very classic about it, like it was really close to the core One Piece, or maybe the visualization of One Piece I have in my head.
Also I would have to say the sequence in which events played out in this chapter was a step above the norm for OP.

Edit: I was originally just throwing it out there since he just looked so similar in one panel but thinking about it, it could really make for an interesting plot twist and set up Kinemon as new Nakama!!… Kishi, you with me on this?!

Oh, I really liked that Luffy cut off Caesar's villanous speech. You don't get that often in these kind of series.

I wonder can Smoker really defeat Luffy now? It seems like Luffy has caught him off guard after turning Gear 2, could have easily delivered an attack.

He'll just release some deadly gas and escape. Or maybe Monet comes down and attacks Luffy allowing Caesar to get out of his grip. Luffy gets caught off guard like he always does and allows Caesar to get away. I think the final boss will be Caesar joined with and hiding inside Slime.

Great chapter like always.
With the slime slowly launching itself across the island I'm wondering how much of an interaction Zoro and co. are going to have with it. Luffy's interaction with Smoker was awesome when he switched into Gear 2nd and just got right up in his face. Also, Franky, Luffy, and Smoker's reaction to the explosion was just too good.

loved the interaction between luffy and smoker.
that's some NICE agility you've got going there luffy, it reminds me of dbz.i felt bad for those guys caught in the explosion, especially after seeing smoker's reaction.

Fun, quick chapter. Sorry to see Tashigi still being so weak - the fact that she's trapped in Smoker's body and going up against Luffy, of all people, notwithstanding - but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she eventually grows out of that. In contrast, it was good to see a short Luffy vs Smoker skirmish (that the latter is not in his true body, again, notwithstanding).
The slime's ultimate weakness seems apparent to me… It's poisonous and explosively flammable, but almost certainly soluble in water. Nami's new climatact conjuring up a nasty rainstorm, perhaps?

To be fair, that half of the island wasn't on fire when the slime was originally sealed up…

But in the previous chapter, Law and chopper were entering that way (that's how Law saw Luffy and co. attacking the ship).

I get the feeling more-and-more Monet won't fight in this arc, instead observe the fighting. She'll probably fly away in the end and we'll end up seeing her later in the New World, a much more important character. Does anyone else have a similar feeling irking them, more-now-than-ever since this chapter has everyone coming together BUT her?

It is super-effective!Such a basic generic attack, two times in the same chapter… at least they're different opponents! I'm curious what Mr Shilololo will come up with next. Fun chapter, no complaints save for the lack of Law.

People are wondering why it didn't explode on the fire side when it did when shot at.
We have seen it was locked up on the fire side and traveled freely over burning buildings in ch 669.
Perhaps 2 scenarios=
1- The marines were wrong, and its not weak to flames it just decided to explode that part on the ship…it did have a lot more of body
OR
2- That marine's weapon was more than just a simple flame thrower. It uses a chemical compound to make flames more hotter than average flames -

He definitely can.
You have to take into account that he's in Tashigi's body right now.
If anything, he did very impressively in someone else's body.
