Also, she writes with her wings in a panel of chapter 664. Her arms were actually replaced by wings.

Conclusion, that's a flashback. Monet was a normal girl back then, but now she's not.

It took me 4 re-reads to realize that was a flashback. However, it still makes more sense that she is a DF user than a normal human modified by Law. I haven't seen her writing with her wings yet, and besides, her appearance still resembles a Tori Tori fruit user.

That panel where we see BrownBeard remembering CC praising him for being a good guard and telling him everything was going to be okay is just heart wrenching. :sad:

For those saying Oda having that scene only for the sake of CC being evil for no real reasoning, I think there is actually a point behind what he did.
BrownBeard seemed to have given into Luffy rather easily, and also expected CC to save him. He praised CC because no matter how hard he fought, he "knew" CC would save him.
CC doesn't want a weakling like BrownBeard to solely rely on him whenever something happens. His failure, and his lack of effort (because he thought CC would save him) gave way for CC to dispose of him.

Honestly, Oda can bend and break the rules whenever he feels it's too restrictive, but so far, there are only at most 4 bird zoans shown, 3 if Monet indeed is not a zoan.

Ceasar seems just blatantly evil and uninteresting. What really has me intrigued in this arc is everyone but him, specifically Monet and Law. Monet seemed to be the one to actually care about the prisoners, and she's the one who's actually careful enough to realize the Straw Hats are not that easy to dispose of, and to be aware that they can't just have died like that. Can't really understand why she hangs around CC.

Same goes for Law; he's way too smart to just be a lackey. Because of him, the Heart Pirates, along with the Straw Hats, were the only crew to avoid barging into the New World because of strategic purposes, and like all other Shichibukai there must have been a reason why he accepted that title. Apparently it's because he's looking for something in this island. Whatever the case, this guy has a larger master plan and I doubt it will all involve this arc.

Nothing against Monet, as we haven't seen enough of her yet, but she's not the kind of character I would hope another of the 5 bird zoans to be. So far, she's pretty boring and not so original of a character design - albeit being present in such a location is odd. Plus, there's an equally viable option of it being Law's work.

And knowing Oda, who says there can't be a harpy or griffin zoan, for example?

Caesar may have influenced Law's current actions using his gas powers or something. The latter looked rather odd in that one panel.

Yeah Nami-Sanji, Zoro and Brooke must be transformed objects from the samurai, or else the Yeti brothers would have realized that they aren't dead. Also i don't think that Mone is a modified Harpy, since as we saw in the flashback her hands and legs were ok, so why would she want to forfeit both to have wings and harpie legs? Wings i would get it, but why legs also? And don't forget that 'till now the only transformations that we have seen Law doing were to wounded people. Brownbeard and his crew were all missing several body parts, and that is why Law gave them new ones.

And the Brownbeard part made me wanna cry. At that very moment when BB cried for Master, I thought that it could go 2 ways: 1. If Nami or Chopper jumped to save him, we would have a new crew member 2. He gets shot in the face, which doesn't necessarily mean he won't join, but it just kinda touched me.

Sorry but he was already somewhat unoriginal when introduced as Pell came before him. The only way Laffite is original is if he is not a zoan but a paramecia that can only transform arms into wings. Then Mone would not be like him. After all did Oda confirm what DF Laffite has in the recent Databook? I can't read it so don't know
If he is a true bird zoan, well already said Pell was there first. I've already pointed out that Oda has three different characters with Inu Inu no Mi.
But on going back and looking, there are FOUR models They are still different due to beign different models. In order of introduction=
Jackal - Chaka Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Jackal
Dachshund - Lasso Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Dachshund
Wolf - Jabra Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Wolf
Dalmation - Vice Admiral Dalmation (he doesn't have a link under Zoan yet but we saw him transform in the war)

As for the only 5 dfs to fly, I thought it was Pell who said there were 5 types to fly. Its likely a mistranslationI read, and I want to reread it. (need to find it) I remember some includign Shiki's DF as one of them though he doesn't have wings, they included him since he could levitate then fly. Don't know if he is though,

Oda has had characters give false info on DFs before, either through them not really knowing enough, through fear or just passing along rumors. Remember Jabra stating a rumor. So maybe Pell only knew of 5. Since it was a character and not a info box, it gives Oda some room to change things without him being wrong,

I think its still possible that Mone has a DF and it stays a possiblity until more info is given.

Shiki isn't a bird. He doesn't count. Logias aren't birds. Robin, despite being named after a bird, is not a bird.

Despite Oda saying 5 flying DF's, I think that was either a mistranslation, or perhaps he meant a DF that specifically is meant for flying, like Tori Tori. Also, take into account that Oda is an absent-minded genius, so he may have forgotten all about his 5 flying fruit rule and opted to make as many flying DFs as he wants.

One thing people don't seem to notice is that the scene where Monet is not in harpy form is a flashback. That is also the reason she was writing down details about Law - it was the first time they'd met.

So the fact that she is a 24/7 harpy is not out of the question.

I'm sure he is there for his crew, so what could he possibly need to uncover that would result to him getting his crew back in order?

This gives me hope that we won't have to wait until Vegapunk to actually understand Devil Fruits a little bit more.

I'm thinking Kidd, since Clown's cruelty is what reminded him of someone.

And I think maybe Law was referring to Buggy as joker? Not in the sense that he looks like a clown, but probably because he knows Buggy isn't as big of a threat as some make him out to be, and there's the whole speculation of Buggy possibly being a Warlord and whatnot.

But that's just my thoughts from the first quick read. I'll most likely be rereading it again to try and sort things out further.

I really doubt that Monet has a DF, mainly because a Mythical Tori Tori no Mi (Marco) already exists and another Mythical Zoan of the same class would feel cheap. Not to mention that the Devil Fruits that allow flight don't have to be birds (Bat, Dragon, Pterodactyl).

The problem is that the Cool Brothers are big, strong AND fast as hell, not to mention stealthy and synchronized. I don't think Usopp could handle them, especially on a environment where plants have trouble thriving.

I made a theory a few weeks back that the marine´s new power Jinbe was talking about on FI is some kind of chemical weapon or the new version of Pacifistas equipped with chem. weap. . This weapon could trigger an unknown disease, even to Law, so he needs more information about it in order to heal his crew who were attacked by that weapon. He decides to do anything to become a Shichibukai because they seem to have at least a bit knowledge about what is going on in the WG and the Marines (example: DoFlamingo knew about Kuma being transformed). He learns that this weapon was invented and experimented with on Punk Hazard, so he decides to live there and find a cure for his crew.

Of course you guys are free to discuss whatever you want but to me the character of Monet seems extremely hyped during the last few chapters which i honestly can´t understand. To me, she seems like a bad imitation of Robin since she is introduced similarly to the story. She spots our heroes first, is also the right hand man (woman) of our antagonist for this arc and she also seems to take advantage of her superior in order to achieve her own goal. Plus, her attitude towards the SH is similar to Robin in the Alabasta arc (she doesn´t underestimate them) and also seems very knowledgable, so he enlightens her boss about things he doesn´t know. In my eyes, the Yeti´s power, Law´s involvement on PH or CC´s plan with the kids are much more important things to discuss about than Monet having eaten a DF or not.
Just my 2 cents.

I like the theory, but I don't think it really pans out with the time frame. The government seems to like instant kill weapons (lasers and so fourth), so why make a chemical weapon?
If they created a chemical weapon, I would hope that it works MUCH faster than Law would have time to become shichibukai, land on Punk Hazard, and assist CC in the meantime.
