Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
Because #665 was supposed to be today's chapter but for some obscure reason I cannot quite fathom we got it on the weekend already.

Croc's alright. We do need an official prick-scale, I feel.
I shall pay money to see this scale made.
Anyways, this is one crazy chapter from beginning to end. Usually I'm here to see the spoilers first but the thread was closed; Oh well, and Magellan getting demoted was expected, but I'm just glad to see he's still around since the Timeskip. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of Magellan in the future**(Especially if he possibly wants payback on Luffy for the breakout…)**.
While I'm sure Magellan does want to pay Luffy back for the humiliation he caused him and his precious prison, I would think his first priority would be Blackbeard, since he's the one that set the worst prisoners free (and kicked his ass, probably). Also, Shillew, since the Blackbeard Pirates would've died from poisoning had he not given them the antidote…

I always feel that this idea is a little annoying. Croc is NOT alright. Just because we didn't get to see him preform many outright evil acts onscreen doesn't mean he wasn't an evil bastard, the offscreen actions count too. He started a war and planned on killing both armies, he has probably been, at least partially, responsible for more deaths and pain than any single other character we've seen save, probably, some of the Tenryubito, oh and BB for causing WB's death and it's consequences. He also hasn't had any kind of "redemption", the main point of a redemption is that the person redeemed has to have a change of heart, Croc never had one.

Spandam never had a change of heart, and he was willing to kill downright anybody for his own pride.
I admit that Croc showed no regard for his own subordinates, let alone the people of Alabasta. And he didn't seem to show any remorse for his actions. But people like him anyway, because he helped Luffy out and prolonged Ace's execution. Albeit, he was only kept in check by Ivankov, and was driven by his urge to kill Whitebeard, so you're probably right about him. I just feel like there's something we still don't know. Maybe once he reappears in the NW and we learn more about his link with Ivankov, or we see more of his willingness to protect Das Bones like he did in the war, he'll look better.

Well if Magellan decides to go after Blackbeard and his crew, then he REALLY has to be prepared. Especially since we know for sure Blackbeard alone has become more powerful since the Timeskip.
BTW, love your signature Deviant_Mugen. :D

Yeah, Magellan wouldn't stand a chance against Blackbeard right now, and especially not if his crew was backing him up (which they've done in almost every fight he's been involved in). Right now, Magellan probably isn't in the right state of mind to fight anyone, much less Blackbeard…
And, thanks, seeing people appreciate it makes the time I spent working on it worth it...
You made it yourself!?!? That makes it even better!
Nice work my friend, nice work. :D
Indeed I did, and thanks again…
I wonder if From the Decks of the World still has a few covers left, or if it already ran its course. Personally, I'd like for it to keep going a bit longer...
^ Let's see the only characters yet to be shown again are the marines/NW pirates from Marineford so I'd say the cover story is over…

I would think Amazon Lily might be another place, but we wouldn't be seeing any changes. This could be it?? (since we already saw Disco and everyone else from Sabaody besides Shakky)
IDK if this had been brought up b4, but to me the yeti cool brothers look like giant versions of Aokiji (check Aokiji's introduction-pic in vol. 33: the silhouettes look similar to him).
Aokiji's hair style looks like those brothers' ears or whatever those are.
I'd have bought Eighty Cool Brothers too, cause it reminds me of the "crazy 88" from Kill Bill. Those were also killers after all.
Good chap: Oda finally uses the drug topic in his story. I always knew he would use this serious topic (just like corruption or racism) and binds in Chopper with it.
NHC10 is a mixture between THC and the chemical sign for meth from the naming IMO.

If we do see Amazon lily it will most likely just be Hancock coming back to the island from sa however it would easier for Oda to do that than make a random cover page.

Have we seen Coby/Garp and that reject kid with the blond hair yet again?

Who do u mean? Sabo?
I wonder if we'll c Mr. 2 in the cover story, but I doubt it.
Magellan as vice warden is also disappointing IMO. Though I didn't c him as a higher WG officer or as an admiral, it hurts me to c him working under Hannyabal. But I guess it was his wish to ge demoted after what happened in ID. Now we c what the BBs have done to him.
Those scars have one advantage. They seem to turn on Sadie-chan.
Who do u mean? Sabo?
He means Helmeppo. He was going along with that gag that no one can remember who he is.
Speaking of scars, Oda really needs to mix up his usage of them. Facial scars are the most abundant feature on characters, especially near or over the eyes (Magellan being the latest to join the club). Sure, scars do give characters more badass points (aesthetics-wise, anyway), but we could use a little more variety. Luffy's new scar is a good start, and Zoro's torso scar has always looked awesome…
I think Oda should put scars on the back-burner for now, though, and shift the focus to tattoos. I would've loved for Luffy's 3D2Y to have been permanent, but apparently it was merely drawn on. I also would've liked to see Luffy come back from the time skip with some sort of tribute tattoo to Ace, but we've seen him shirtless on PH and there's nothing new aside from his scar. Give us more tattoos, Oda! I'm sure Nami feels a bit lonely being the only crew member with body ink...

I imagine he has scars all over his body, just because it's more illogical that way.
I'd like to see more tattoos though. Well, not awful lot, but some.
The thing is that scars on the body would not really be visible because most characters wear shirts i think that is why we haven't seen that many people with scars on the body.
Lola's mother will show up before law switches the bodies back, and nami really will be a man
crap theory thread here I come
Franky had tattoos: the blue stars on his forearms and the "BF" "36" on his shoulders IIRC.
Back @ Jaya there have been a lot of guys with tattoos as well as Arlong's crew.
I'd also wish that the SHs meet a tattoo artist in the NW, so a few SHs get nice (new) tattoos, but I guess this keeps being a dream…
Bienvenid@ Tastyca! Si es tu primera vez en un foro, preguntame cualquier duda ^u^!!
I approve the tattoo artist idea ( tattoo fan here, with 5 proud ink childs x3 )

! No sabia que hablabas esp O_O
But think about it now, what kind of tattoos would the SH get? Their jolly roger?
Off current topic, going towards Zoro/Sanji/Brook subject.
Brook was the only one with his weapon drawn. I'm putting my money on their loss being comical.
I'm really hoping to see a confrontation between the "Yeti Cool Brothers" and the group/or atleast Luffy next chapter, since they were right infront of the area where they were situated.

sanji and zoro knocked each other out beforehand, brooke was waiting for them to get up when he sensed the yeti brothers, but got stunned before he could do anything.
OR, Zoro and Sanji were knocked out with gas, but gas doesn't affect Brook,
so he was able to draw his weapon. Then he got pulverized.

I would actually really like if that was the case, and Brook just couldn't handle them…It's unlikely, but it'd be funny.

Gas affects Brook, he fainted along with Nami, Chopper, Franky and Sanji back then on the Sunny, but they didn´t take him because they didn´t knew he was a living skeleton

How exactly does the gas 'harm' Brook? He's a skeleton. He doesn't have lungs, therefore, he can't breathe the gas in.
@The:

The same way he can eat without a stomach or poop without bowels.
@Nolus: I'm sure that Doberman's body is also covered in x-shaped scars.
@arlekin21: It's more like most Marines wear shirts (that cover them completely). There are plenty of pirates who go around with either their entire torso or just the front completely exposed.
@Roronoa Zacho: True, but I always imagined Franky's tattoos as decals or painted on, since the skin on the front of his body was fake. And not all the Straw Hats need to get tattoos, but as I said, Luffy having a tribute tattoo to Ace would be nice.
On the current topic, I highly doubt that Zoro and Sanji's squabble escalated to the point where they both knocked each other out, especially since Sanji's expression seems too peaceful. Knockout gas being used while the two were distracted by their arguing seems like the most likely scenario to me…

Actually, I'd imagine that both of them noticed it, and Sanji said something like "It's Knockout gas", and Zoro responded "No, its sleeping gas" and the two argued about it until they both fell unconscious.
That sounds so petty that it just has to be true…
The straw hats could get their personal flag as a tattoo on their backs however scars/tattoo's make it take longer to draw them and Oda already takes like 2 months off a year.
I don't see the point in them tattooing their Jolly Roger on their bodies, especially since (through Luffy) their fame has skyrocketed during the past two years. If someone from the crew is going to get a tattoo, it should hold some kind of meaning, like maybe Luffy having Ace's old Jolly Roger tattooed on his body (bicep or back would be cool). Luffy's not so prideful that he'd tattoo his own symbol on his back, like Whitebeard did. The tattoos should have some kind of story behind them, just like most of the characters' scars do (self-inflicted to prove bravery, losing to the world's greatest swordsman, etc.)…
Spandam never had a change of heart, and he was willing to kill downright anybody for his own pride.
True, the only reason I don't put him in Croc's category is that I feel many of his actions were driven as much by stupidity and pettiness as by evil.

Have to agree with this, there's no way Brooke drew his weapon before Zoro and Sanji who both have haki now…(though idk if haki works in Nami's body...)

Does that mean his staff does 5/6 of the actual drawing? Or does he draw stuff ahead of time?

It makes a lot more sense for two of them to have been arguing (as was shown earlier, and explicitly stated by Nami), while Brook wasn't distracted.
Gas affects him also as was shown here. Makes sense for them to have been hit at once (with what I think was gas for now), and Brook having a chance to react because he wasn't preoccupied with bickering.
Unless ofcourse somebody wants to make an argument that Brook was just being an idiot and had slept through the ship being boarded and crew being captured in the image below.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me with any scenario (this may have been mentioned) is even if Sanji and Zoro were arguing, how would they not hear them coming? Their foot prints alone are bigger than Brook, something that big had to have made the ground shake while getting closer to them. They may not be as large as a giant, but I'd say they're probably twice the size of Whitebeard.. Unless they sniped them out with gas guns while hiding and then walked past them..
Either that, or…They're mystery yetis..

Remember this guy? He somehow managed to launch a surprise attack against Whitebeard.
Apparently, in the world of One Piece, being huge does not affect somebody's stealth skills.

I don't think that was really a surprise since whitebeard saw him coming anyways
but I agree with your point even giant beings are capable of stealth lol

He didn't really "suprise" him. Whitebeard just didn't see him as much of a threat and other relative shit was going on at the same time.
is it just me? this arc feels much like Thriller Bark arc apart from the fact that Law and Smoker are present…

That was from behind and in the air though, and it still wasn't really a surprise, Whitebeard owned him without even flinching. These "Yeti Cool Brothers" were literally walking towards them (so it seems from the picture), and from the way it looks the only one who remotely took notice to him was Brook.

Since we are not shown what they look like, what they are carrying in their hands, or what exactly is on their backs it's hard to even guess, but I really doubt its as simple as a pair of big guys with gas guns.
They obviously have to have some abilities besides just being a large version of CC's gas troops.
is it just me? this arc feels much like Thriller Bark arc apart from the fact that Law and Smoker are present…
Yes but this arc lacks a MAJOR villain. All the other arcs have some over-powered main villain:Enel, Lucci,Moria,Crocodile etc.
I belive that there is something behind the scenes here that we haven't seen yet. CC doesn't seem like all that big of a threat when it comes to battle power and Law certainly won't be the main villain of this arc.
