You're right, I think the restriction is 900mm, but as always it comes down to the size of the packaging the retailer has available. Rayleigh (30 x 30 x 17) was a good example of a figure that could ship SAL from some places, but EMS only from others due to the packaging used (damn you HS:P). If you know the dimensions of the figure box, then you can at least ask the retailer whether they have boxes available that it'll fit in before release.
Shirahoshi's packaging will need to be no more than an extra 10mm on each side in order to go SAL, which is very tight and unlikely in my experience. Although i'll be very pleasantly surprised if she is.

Yeah, and Bonney box dimensions are a close match to those for NEO-DX Marineford Luffy & Ace, so you're looking at guarenteed SAL, probably around 1,300 yen. Dissapointed I didn't order her now, but at the time I wasn't really interested in her as a character. I was more excited for Admirals & Shichibukai.

Still no news on Arlong or Brook POP's box dimensions? It's frustrating as I can see the diagram in the picture, but it's too small to see what it says, anyone find any bigger pictures? I really need to know because I've decided to stop importing from Japan anything that is EMS only as shipping is too much these days and I can buy cheaper locally. I just don't want to cancel/give away orders until I know for sure.
Got the same problem. I'd love to know Arlong's box side in order to be sure of where to get him from… Anyone?

Still over 5 weeks until Megahobby Spring Expo!!! No doubt May 9th pre-orders will be for late September re-release of Zoro & Sanji as already speculated so expect 26th May to be the next date we see any painted/new POP's. I don't think I can wait that long >< really hope we see something sooner.

I think we got Brook & Arlong early because we had already had reissues announced the prevoious month and they had to put up something for pre-order in April. I think out of the 5 prototypes that we left, Arlong & Brook were the least popular. MegaHouse love to keep us in suspense. They'll have to do something pretty special once Mugiwara SA finish being released. (And please Megahouse NO ALTERNATES! apart from maybe chopper in a different point form (like that will ever happen)

well it will depend if people got her with ben for example like me i will pay ems because i got them both @ hlj with chance i can have a 20% off with ems so it's better than nothing!
i guess it's cheaper to get ems for 2 pop anyway, the weight is a killer can't help it :/

Speaking of the POP duo for April; I've ordered them both at otacute so I hope that they can be sent via SAL. That way I would have at least a chance to avoid customs whereas it's a guaranteed payment with EMS.
I hope you can go through the custom, even though ems is hard to go through, custom is really a killer :/

Apparently not all suppliers in Japan have gotten GLM 12 yet. I know I'm still waiting on mine from Aikoudo to be dispatched and thats what they told me.

Banpresto Super Effect will look much better than Bandai Attack Motions in person. Those who have seen both, surely knew it. :)
Though have to admit Bandai is more ambitious than Banpresto in releasing various characters and poses. -

The marketing gimmick for this Ace is for people who collect Ace figures and want a new figure of him. It's not supposed to be anything particularly great. It's cashing in on a char that still has demand for.

You misunderstood me. What I meant is Banpresto DX Ace, not the POP Neo DX Ace. Price wise and scale wise they are comparable. Banpresto DX vs FZ is common theme for collectors. I'm not that stupid to compare FZ with POP.

You also need to look into the fact that Banpresto's brotherhood Ace is no longer easy to get. He's no longer on the shelves or prize machines. Hell, I doubt there's any larger Ace easy to get. So they're filling this gap. I doubt it'll come anywhere near the Anorexic Brotherhood one quality wise.
I don't even know why people are comparing until they own the figure anyways. Or have seen final products.

^ My point is from the promo poster, the Figuarts Zero is so impressive (have to admit it too). Even some people jumped to conclusion that it might be better than Banpresto DX Brotherhood. The expectation is that high.
Now, this "prototype picture" (not final product yet) showed that it's not even close to what the poster suggested.
Finger crossed the final product would be better than this prototype, which frankly speaking might only happen one in a million chances…
But still there is a chance. So let's hope. I wish him to be good for the sake of people putting so much expectation on this figure. -
