    Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

    • RE: Oda's Interviews

      Famous korean illustrator Kim Jung-Gi signed and sketched one of his sketchbooks for Oda.

      Kim Jung-Gi got famous for his particular style, his crazy perspective and speed and everything without an under-sketch. His fame mostly boosted through youtube in the past years, where famous western Artist took notice of him and kept inviting him to events to the west. He's well beloved by many fans, but even more by many artists. He's friends with Otomo Katsuhiro and Terada Katsuya (released a book with him, same guy who did a cover for the Acel Novel Vol. 1), and many people say Kim Jung-Gi reminds them of Moebius. His sketch for Oda was made at Kaigai Manga Festa in Tokyo - but I have no idea wether Oda went there in person or not. But it's still interesting to see that Oda seems to be a fan. Maybe KJG will do an illustration for one of the future novels.

      Am I the only one absolutely blown away by this Luffy/Katakuri illustration? Maybe someone is able to help me with a question: I'm almost certain this illustration was done digitally, at least the step by step process makes me think that. Can anyone confirm if Oda did this digitally and if he did, what program he used? (I remember him playing around with Procreate)
      This has to be the most traditional medium looking illustration I've seen in my life, if this was done digitally.

    • RE: One Piece digital-colored chapters by Shueisha v2

      @Nisemono:

      Guess that was NOT high res, just .png instead of .jpg (+200Mb per volume).
      But that's not what we all hope for.
      Rising the 1200px resolution we already have to twice as much or even more (2400-3000px), that is what we all would like to enjoy.

      Nope, that's exactly, what it was. People used to rip it in png and ~3000px. The whole series was around 30-40 GB big. (Not so sure on that number anymore, but huge)

      @johnderp:

      Do you think we will ever get raws with a bigger resolution? I know the colorized versions are only meant to be bought through an app, hence the low-res pictures, but I have a hard time imagining the studio behind the colorization working with such low-res panels. If those aren't released one day it would a a crying shame

      I recall some people on here sharing the colored version in high resolution. Can't even navigate the threads properly anymore to find these people, but I guess barely anyone saved them.

      @kanji_xiii:

      I also tried to contact Hiromi back in January through the ProxyKon order form. I received no response so wondered whether he'd stopped. I meant to ask Louis about it since they are business partners.

      As far as alternatives, last time I used http://japonicamarket.com/smart-home.html. Really pleasant service and not too expensive.

      Is Louis still around? I haven't seen him posting on MFC or AP as often anymore.

      Did you contact him via Kolektakon or Mail? I haven't had done business with him in a while, and it would a loss for us if he stopped his business.
