Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2

Sword Hunter Zoro.
-
I can't see Zoro ever getting another sword.
I mean he already has three notable high-grade swords with their own histroy with regards to how he got them.Yubashiri was the same with his own history, he got that as the family heirloom of Matsu but it still was destroyed. Oda wouldn´t have introduced us to the sword ranking system(which really exists btw) if he didn´t plan to show us a few different swords, especially Supreme Grade and Great Grade Swords, Wa No Kuni is probably the best place for that. My guess is that Zoro will keep Shusui and Wadou (of course^^) and will get a Supreme Grade as his third. I could imagine a scenario where a descendant of Ryuma on Wa No recognizes Shusui and wants to take it back from Zoro, in the fight Sandai Kitetsu gets broken but Zoro wins the fight, thus earning a Supreme Grade from his opponent. Also, i bet that many of the Meito are in the hands of Marines, especially the Vice Admirals.

I have hopes and doubts of seeing him obtain a higher grade of Meito, but if it were going to happen, after reading your post I'd want it to happen like that. It'd be pretty sweet if he got his last Meito by defeating and claiming another sword of a "Legenady Swordsman"
There's gonna be someone who recognizes Shusui and question him (I hope). -
Oda has given a hint that Zoro may get a new sword. Its not full deal just a hint of a possibility.
During the desent to the ocean bottom, Zoro says he always wants a fire sword. Ironically, he did wield fire swords for a brief moment on Little Garden. -

Well there is a difference between Kitetsu and Yubarashi
In that Zoro mentions the Kitetsu a few times after obtaining it (forming some sort of connection), while the Yubarashi wasn't really talked about until after it was rusted.
But I guess you're right, it may happen that he loses another sword.
If it's the Kitetsu then I hope he picks up another cursed sword. -
There are three kitetsus. Each kitetsu was made weaker than the one made before. Sandai Kitesu (sandai means the third) is the weaker one. All kitetsus are cursed. So, in my opinion, is quite likely zoro will somehow miss his sandai kitetsu and he'll get the nidai kitetsu(the second) or the shodai kitetsu(the first)
By the way, shodai is a supreme grade sword and nidai is a great grade sword(like shushui) while sandai is just a grade sword. Even Yubashiri, a skillful grade sword, has a higher rank than sandai. -
That girl that hangs around Smoker might give Zoro one of the best swords after she loses to a enemy in a future arc when Zoro only has two swords and she trusts Zoro enough by this point in the story for him to fight the bad dude for her in exchange for the sword maybe to save Smoker.

Didn't really notice it before.
But has Usopp ever removed his earphones after the timeskip?
I still wonder if there is more to them than meets the eye. -
Blackbeard, Shiliew, and Burgess are the Monster Trio of the Blackbeard Pirates. And, as you know, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are the Monster Trio of the Strawhat Pirates. Luffy will fight Blackbeard, Zoro will fight Shiliew, and Sanji will fight Burgess when the two crews clash with one another.

Well this is most likely as many have predicted before.

Caribou works for DoFlamingo who gathered 2 of the Supernova Captains(my guess is Bege and Urouge) and other powerful rookies and plans to start his attempt on the Pirate King title but is going to be stopped by Luffy & co.
Sabo is alive, Luffy will meet him coincidentally in front of Ace´s and WB´s grave in the NW.
Drake works for Kaidou, he is going to be for Kaidou what Bruno was for Lucci, an apératif for Luffy before fighting the real arc opponent.
There is going to be a Poneglyph on Wa No Kuni, everybody is going to ask Robin what it says but Luffy, having the same ability as Roger, is going to answer -> Everybody goes WTF.
Bonney, having made the statement on SA that pirates helping strangers is strange, is going to ask the SH for help.

I can actually see those two happening.
The Sabo idea would be a nice way to introduce him back having them coincidentally meet at Ace's grave.
Where ever the next Poneglyph is and whether or not Robin doesn't just look for it herself, if Luffy sees it it's pretty likely that'll happen for sure.
Those are good theories in my opinion.

But has Usopp ever removed his earphones after the timeskip?
I still wonder if there is more to them than meets the eye.Speaking so something he never takes off…..anyone notice the white/blue armband survived 2 years in a hostile jungle filled with man-eating plants and insects? Nami has that bracelet he always wears from Nojiko and Zoro has that harakami he always wears....Oda explained as his grandma knitted. But we still have no explaination why Usopp always wears that white & Blue armband and always on that arm.
I'm guessing he has a plant or maybe an upgraded dial that releases a horrible screech or some super sonic sound wave, using the ear phones to protect himself. His upgraded chalk board basically.
I hope its something like that. So far I've taken is as just equipment, like the goggles, and part of the fashion for some snipers . Look at a marksman from the Whitebeards Pirates - Curiel. He's wearing ear-protectors and eye protection.
-
Trafalgar Law is actually Sabo. No, I'm just kidding.
I do have a theory though ever since I read the fishman island flashbacks and it was reinforced at the end of that arc and the recent anime episode reminded me of it. I actually think that Koala will make a reappearance and serve as an important character.
1. Her village betrayed her savior resulting in his death. She will eventually find out the truth of the betrayal and of course it will affect her greatly. I wouldn't think that she will just do nothing about it.
2. She's the only human with the mark of the Sun Pirates. Very significant characteristic.
3. The Big Mom arc will involve the Sun Pirates, so I think the Strawhats will meet her and she will find out that the Sun Pirates wants to be free of Big Mom's rule. She will offer her help because she owes them a great deal.
4. She may even be the next strawhat member since she has the dream to destroy the prejudices between fishmen and humans. It has been bugging me that Jinbei didn't join the strawhats. I think that if he was meant to be in the crew, he would be in already. Oda is full of surprises, so this Jinbei will join eventually is a bit anti-climatic to me.
5. As for her abilities, well she's a blank slate so she could practically train in any type of skill during the past 12 years.

Someone mentioned how the bat was the same and I found the images:
!
! -
Bat = main villain of One Piece
/headasplode
-
No, the bat is One Piece.
-
it's a species of bats from raftel and they know the way back - you have to catch a colony of them and luffy will train them to fly home- the SHs will follow them and find one piece.
-
Aren't those bats like Moriahs?
-
No, those are real bats, Moriah's bats are made of shadows.

I've actually always thought that Caribou was talking about Doflamingo in that panel. Don't know why.
-
I've actually always thought that Caribou was talking about Doflamingo in that panel. Don't know why.
Because Doflamingo is known for having subordinates that are as much of a bastard as he is?
Doflamingo is probably up there in the list of characters that everybody thinks are behind the other characters, losing only to Vegapunk and Dragon.
-
Oh I agree that it's plausable that Caribou works for doflamingo, my problem with the theory is that Doflamingo is trying to become Pirate King. One Piece doesn't seem to be of interest to Doflamingo thats just always been my interpretation of him.

I agree, he's power hungry but he likes working from the shadows and not in the spotlight, pirate king is a pretty big spotlight. Information like Shirahoshi is definitely useful to him so if caribou survived pekom's blow i suspect we could see a clip of them soon. I'm not sure why but Doflamingo feels like he's sort of an old school pirate, perhaps a trainee like shanks and buggy. The only thing that bugs me is that he does like money and the only reason why i could think he wouldn't go after one piece is if he knew it wasn't actually treasure… which seems highly unlikely.
-
I didn't really pay much of attention to caribou so can any1 tell me what happened to him in the end of the fisherman arc?
Was he kicked outa the palace(or the ship?) by luffy? -

Was he kicked outa the palace(or the ship?) by luffy?he was punched by luffy just one time, was enough to knock him out and lose all the treasure he got in his body. after waking up he saw the two messengers of Big Mom with the treasure, started attacking them and got owned by Pekomz.

This has been symbolised with his ability. Although we don't have the actual name of his fruit we can deduce that he controls near-invisible and practically indestructible strings which he uses to control people like puppets and eventually he uses his strings to cut.

Doflamingo and moriah are kind of the same but Doflamingo kills them if they fail to much because they make his flag look bad!
-

No, Moria is a weak fatass.
-
can't help but think that when Law arrived, CC saw his powers and so is holding his crew hostage in order to use those powers for his own gain
-
I got a weird thought.. CC lab is on Aokiji side of the island.. Could Akainu won the fight at the last moment due to this fact?
I mean after 10 days of hardcore fighting and becoming so exhausted, CC (being a gas and all) might had affected the result of the battle without being found out..
What made me thought of this is that his intention is always more toward carnage and chaos.. Maybe he didn't wish for the marine to adopt Aokiji sense of justice..
Or worst, the theory of the "higher power" he must report to..
What if it was they who did not want Aokiji to win.. Hmmm..It seems that you're right so this is the best theory that i have seen posted for a long time so you win best theory of the month and two thumbs up.

What if it was they who did not want Aokiji to win.. Hmmm..I was thinking that Aokiji must had been VERY determined and would not have lost easily. But it is only a theory (though i pray that it might really be so!).
Yet further comparison (of what we have seen) of Aokiji and Akainu powers goes to show that Akainu may have an advantage.Alas we still do not know of Aokiji full power, but if he is able to bring out Absolute Zero temperature powers then there is no real advantage for Akainu!! (hottest magma is at most 1600 °C)
On another note, given that Blackbeard is SO over-powered (so is Akainu).. I hope that Luffy's Haki will one day evolve to a level that can suppress Devil Fruit powers and their effects.. Like a merge of Kenbunshoku, Busoshoku & Haoshoku Haki.. Shanks shown signs of this when boarding WhiteBeard Ship and stopping Akainu magma fist!
Can't wait for that to happen! -
All these theories here really pump me up for more. But I just realised something. What if Oda fuck up the story somehow?I really trust him and all,but One Piece is full of details, places, characters, etc. And on top of that One Piece is already big time-wise.Don't get me wrong,I love One Piece and that's why I make this statement here.Because I don't want one of my favorite things in this life get ruined.

I thought that Busoshoku Haki was supposed to strike Logia users. Rayleigh does it, Whitebeard does it, Hancock does it…

This whole Punk Hazard situation to me screams government cover-up. Signs barring entry for all people including Marines just seems odd doesn't it? Children stolen but reported as shipwrecks, calls into a mysterious "Joker" who has the ability to make a Vice-Admiral's death look like an 'accident at sea'? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a VA is a pretty big deal and somebody with that kind of ability seems pretty high up the food chain.
Now I've been wondering why Law has been tied in with CC, and it got me thinking about a few things. Why is Law a shichibukai to begin with? It really seems outside of his perceived character to become one. Now his character perception is a bit conflicted, he's portrayed as both a Demon & a Good Guy so who knows. To me though he doesn't seem like one to become a government dog willingly. But, I've wondered what has become of Law's crew, and I've thought that this all has to tie in together somehow. Has he abandoned them for his own ambitions, were they killed, kidnapped? The popular theory is they've been kidnapped and I am in agreement.
So with that in mind, maybe because of said kidnappings he was forced to join the Government as a Shichibukai. Part of his job is that he must protect Punk Hazard. Being such a formidable opponent and a well known figure he'd be able to handle most, whether Marine or otherwise who would come snooping that CC couldn't handle. He answers to CC, who is still working in conjunction with the government to develop new weapons of mass destruction, the creation of super soldiers, testing of new drugs, mad scientist stuff. These things may be considered especially heinous, particularly in the public light so its kept under secrecy.

First off, from the information we got so far nobody forced Law to become a Shichibukai. He send the 100 pirate hearts to the government on his own account. Next point, CC clearly doesn´t work with the government anymore, his bounty and his statement here prove that: http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/664/17. He has a grudge against Vegapunk because he has been given the title "No 1 Scientist" and also against the WG for choosing Vegapunk over him.
My theory concerning Law is different: First off, Jinbe mentioned a new kind of power that the WG gave the marines in order to fight the "New Era". My guess is that this power is some kind of chemical weapon or the new version of the Pacifista equipped with a chemical weapon that causes some kind of disease. Law´s crew probably got attacked with that and fell ill due to the disease that weapon causes. Although Law is a doctor, i doubt he would have the ability to cure a disease coming from an unknown weapon, he´ll probably need more information about it -> he decides to become a Shichibukai in order to obtain information about the weapon. He gets to know that the weapon was "invented" on Punk Hazard so he goes there to find something that could help him. There he meets CC who promises him to help his crew somehow(since he is a superior scientist and especially an expert on chemical warfare) as long Law cooperates with him and helps him with the experiments.

Chapter 665 and all it's 'candy talk' got me thinking: What if Big Mam doesn't have a Devil Fruit power, instead, she uses a system similar to Chopper's rumble balls? She eats all this different type of candy (and, possibly, other highish sugar food items) which does different things to her body giving her different…abilities.

This would actually be kinda cool and would give the series a bit of variation concerning bad guys and their abilities. In the whole series there has been like 4 main antagonists without a DF, the rest have were DF users.
So while its a cool idea Im afraid it's not gonna happen. She is almost guaranteed to have some DF.

Except that CC is being directly aided by somebody within the WG. Somebody high-ranked enough to cover up a VA's death.

Yeah… I think most main villains etc. the Strawhat's encounter have DFs, because the audience loves seeing new Devil Fruit 'born' and Devil Fruit user v. Devil Fruit user fights. (I know that's one of the main reasons I like One Piece, the Devil Fruit).
-
First off, from the information we got so far nobody forced Law to become a Shichibukai. He send the 100 pirate hearts to the government on his own account.
And you know this how? At some point Law did this yes, but why he did it has never been told. To say it was of his own account isn't known yet. The stealing of the hearts could have all been arranged.
That statement doesn't tell me he doesn't work for the Government anymore, in fact I'd say its pretty ambiguous. He's got a grudge, but he's also out to prove himself to them. Then he makes contact with someone who can make a VA's death look like an accident. To me that seems like he's still working for the Government, because I doubt an Admiral would do that and it would need to be somebody higher ranked then the Vice-Admiral to cover it up. The bounty could very well be a cover-up because the government doesn't want to look like it condones CC's work. Said work is particularly heinous and is considered illegal and immoral to the world at large.

I like this theory, it seems plausible enough. But, who is this Joker that can make a VA's death look like an accident?
-
can't be sure but i'm hoping Joker is another member of the rebel faction of the WG that akainu is from. though they wouldn't really be considered rebels now that he's in power would they… i don't think akainu would ever agree to the experiments that CC is conducting, but if he just told Joker he wanted to see results and never really realized what was going it would be plausible.
-

The marines obey the world govt and Joker is most likely high ranked in the world govt so its easy to cover up marines deaths.
-
Calling it now…
Joker = Someone from Cipher Pol.Using crappy indirect clues from ch.664
Behind Brownbeard is the number "055", do the reverse & you have 550.
In ch.550 Sengoku mentions "Cipher Pol" when talking about Ace's biological father. My conspiracy theory.
