Is Gintama seriously ending? Never thought I'd see the day ;___;
i honestly doubt it. i mean why now?
their not even close to a conclusion

Ha…these two clearly did not read the posts above them. XD
Ha…these two clearly did not read the posts above them. XD
looking back at them n-w i must admit, i feel silly
Why are Beel, Magico and ST&RS so low?!
I can't say for the first two, since I don't read them, but given how non-actiony ST&RS is and how it hasn't been around long enough for its established characters to really break out of their archetypes, it's not difficult to see why fewer people would vote for it, as much of a shame as that is.
! Though now it has an apparent villain in the form of Space Lenin, so who knows what that will do for the series.
Seeing as how I haven't really read more than two volumes, yeah, I don't really know the franchise's history at all, plus the information seems a bit all over the place to me :/
It seems that in the same style as Rock Lee and Chopper Man, Don Patch is getting his own spin off in Saikyou Jump titled Fuwari! Don Patch.
"The spin-off series premieres in the January issue of Saikyou Jump, and includes the reveal of the magazine's mascot designed by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda."

Hopefully it's more like the Rock Lee series than the Chopperman one. It probably won't be scanlated for a while, but still, I'm glad to see that Bo-bobo is still fairly popular.
I wish I was able to read all of Bobo-bobo-bobo online :(
Me too; I've found raws, but that's about it (and they were taken down shortly afterwards anyways).
Bobobo is a series that honestly won't ever see it's full run here in the states just like JJBA, Rokudenashi Blues and Ninku

Did the Gintama release get cancelled or did VIZ bring it straight back after announcing that they were discontinuing the series.

I wished for it before but MAN am I happy now.
But damn, next week Bleach has center cover, so we won't know if it continues :(
Seriously, are they giving Kubo so many colour pages because they don't want him to look so consistently terrible with his ratings, plus the fact they're incredibly cheap to make compared to everyone elses' ?
Beelzebub is fifth. What a nice surprise. It was chapter 128, the drunk Kunieda one, huh.
@No:

Fast and cheap, like manga fastfood.
After Kubo's blatant ratings grab, things have settled back to how they should be:) Lol at it getting another colour page. Do the editors really think it gives that much of a boost? I'm pretty sure they lose their appeal anyway when you give them out every other week to try and save a former flagship series.
Yay, Beelzebub has risen!
Goodbye, ST&RS =(
Yay, Kurogane has risen!
Magico is still pretty low =(
blahblahblah
Nuramago in bottom 2 TT_TT
well the chapter was shit so i don't blame them. just, please, don't get cancelled. TT_TT

Was Bleach even that much of a flagship series though ? I mean, compared with the sales of other titles ?
^Bleach sold roughly 800 thousand per volume so, yes, it was definitely a flagship.
Does anyone have a picture of the cover for this issue?
Yeah Kurogane, and Harisugawa jumped up a bit I like.
Yay Kagami no Kuni went up (although if this was for chapter 12, that wouldn't be a good thing…)! And Kurogane!
Did the Gintama release get cancelled or did VIZ bring it straight back after announcing that they were discontinuing the series.
All I know is that Gintama got cancelled after volume 23….whether or not VIZ brought it back I have absolutely no clue.
I was bored so I made this:
Dark Green means the series is in good standing and could be considered a flagship title, or is a long-running series.
Green means the series is doing quite well, or that it has been around for a while.
Yellow means the series is doing okay, not really excelling, but not exactly in danger of cancellation, or it means a series is newer, but old enough to be solidly planted.
Red means the series is doing poorly and is at risk at cancellation, or it simply means the series is still young and not quite standing on its own yet.
The more green, the better a series is performing. More red means a series is in trouble of cancellation.
I'm going to retroactively make a chart for 2011 because boredom.
I wonder why Medaka is red there.
Relatively speaking, it's one of the five newest series currently running in Jump. The titles of the series are highlighted accordingly due to age. Once one of the new series starts getting ranked, it'll revert to yellow.
Oh, okay. I thought you made a range of age, like series running in less than two years will still be red and whatnot. :p
why are bakuman and toriko yellow, while nuramago is green? bakuman and toriko have higher volume sales and have higher TOC rankings.
Agree with hao, plus i believe that sket dance is not significantly better then toriko and bakuman to deserve a higher status.
Nice work with the average ranking table, but to categorize the series using the colors is a lot more difficult and complicated.
I just explained that it was age. >_> Nurarihyon started a couple months before either of them. That's all there was to it.
Medaka seems to be going to the final ark, and after a villian with over 300 TRILLION of skills it should. The over the top flavor that it has recently certaintly has helped it to forge an interetsing final arc. But it doesn't hold on as something that is not a final arc.

Can't wait for the cover. I always love the Jump collaboration covers and was a tad disappointed about the lack of group Halloween covers this year.
Looks like it's a double issue this week so no Jump next week.
Bleach is a colour page so no entertaining ridicule this week. Well until spoilers are discussed of course.
Looks like it's a double issue this week so no Jump next week.
The first Jump of the year always leaks much earlier, so most likely there'll be.
Then it's about three weeks until #7.
Looks like rushing things in Beelzebub and bringing in Toujo helped the rankings!
Gintama is first.
That's all.
Well this is an interesting line up.
Wow,Gintama is first
what chapter was that?
Is it the beginning of Kintama manga?
and Beelzebub is third
Must be the chapter of Demon school where Oga kicks ass the Pillar
Hopefully, Beelzebub ranking is stable
Damn I forgot Bleach had color this week.
I wanted to see if it's still where it deserves (rock bottom).
It's like Beel and Bakuman were swapped.
Ok that's it, I'm definitely going to start reading Gintama now. Between these high rankings and a lot of members here recommending it, it's time to get reading.
Nice to see Beelzebub be high again. Maybe this will reassure Tamura to not take things so fast.
Sket Dance seems be lower again. I can't say anything about the chapters ranked, though. And Kurogane seems to be doing nicely, so that's good.
Looks like rushing things in Beelzebub and bringing in Toujo helped the rankings!
The ranking is from 129, where Hilda kicked the guards asses to protect Yolda.
Beelzebub in third? Nice!!!!
Well its already too late for this arc but heh we will see.
Gintama is first? Haven't seen that for a while…
It's chapter 375, right? I knew it'll placed high, enough to even tops a great One Piece chapter...
@Oga:

good luck to you sir, honestly i would just watch the anime, its much better in this case. with the lack of any good translators, and the official translation from viz thrown down.
has the manga situation changed any over this pass couple of years?
Fuck yeah! Beelzebub's in third!

Yeah, I heard the anime was really good so I'll probably check that out first then try the manga, if I can find some good scans or translations. No matter what, I'll catch up for sure.

Well, if you're wondering, there's only one group that actively does Gintama now with great quality scans and translation… I'd say, you better check them out here…
