If CP9 returned in the New World, but stronger… that'd be awesome (although there's a slim possibility). Also, I want to see at least Johnny and Yosaku in the New World... LOL
Things That You Would Like to See in the Manga

I hope Luffy is still not the strongest person in One Piece, even if he becomes a Pirate King
-
No matter how strong he becomes, he will always be defeatable.
-

true. hate it when the main char becomes too powerful. in OP, even after luffy manages to win many fierce battles, he still nothing compared to the guys in the new world. he even admit for himself that he is weak. that's what i love from this manga.

Marriage of Luffy and Nami
-
I'd love to see Lola have a wedding, with Nami as the maid of honor. It might also settle the question of whether or not Lola's mother is Big Mam.
-
cant wait for the straw hats to fight doflamingo, Doflamingo might control Luffy to fight his all crew alone
-
DoFla is so far the only opponent of the SHs i have no clue how they could beat him.
I mean the admirals are also hard to fight, but now with Luffy using Haki he has at least a way to hit them.
You sure could hit DoFla without Haki, but his DF-ability to control people..how the fuck can they overcome this.
It sure is some kind of string-fruit and he controls people like puppets(he doesnt control their mind, which makes it even more sick when he slaughters people who know each other), but how can you escape\break those strings. So far it was as easy as to take a shit for him to control every person and i don
t think that Haki could be helpful against his ability (he also controled a VA which are known to be able to use Haki). -

of course it probs won't happen but I've been hoping for sanji to get a serious rivalry like zoro and luffy have
-
Certainly there will be some weakness/limit to that ability, i.e. how many people can he control at one time, for how long, and if he knows how to use his victim's abilities properly. It's also possible that if his victim falls into the sea, the ability will be cancelled. But he could just pick another as his puppet. As a master puppeteer in ability and politics, he probably has plenty of resources to rely on, including back up to call on. We have absolutely no clue as to how strong he is by himself, but I figure he'd be especially tough. I'm with ya. This will definitely be an interesting battle if the story comes to it.
But, what if they met under more comic circumstances instead of violence? That, I'd be more thrilled to see. It's only from the perspective of the audience that we know Dofla was managing the slave trade at Sabaody; if they were to meet again, I doubt the first encounter would be in rage… more like confusion.
-
The eventual Doflamingo arc is going to very interesting, no doubts about that. He easily has the potential to be for the New World what Crocodile was for the Grand Line: one of the most memorable and diabolical villains of the series. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Doflamingo already knows the answers to the remainders of the dangling plot threads and just doesn't care about 'em.
As for the fight, well, I assume that Doflamingo will force the Straw Hats to fight one another to provide the emotional gut punches every arc needs, until Luffy figures out some way to shut the ability down and is able to have a more conventional battle with the Warlord and his razor wire.

I also wanted to know why is it that a "MEAT" can heal luffy's wounds
-
I also wanted to know why is it that a "MEAT" can heal luffy's wounds
It's called the psychological effect of a placebo.Because he likes it a lot. -

Meat has protein, proteins help in tissue repair and wound healing.

Gin is a fodder, he will never show again.
HOLD YOUR GOD DAMN TONGUE SON!
That man is the only villain in that arc worthy of a return. -
Gin is a fodder, he will never show again.
Since when were fodder able to hold their own against one of the monster trio?
-
Since when were fodder able to completely defeat one of the monster trio?

Thank you. This helps prove my point. Gin is not fodder.

I think that the number "12" is not represented enough in the manga. I hope it'll change over time.

thats the page when luffy looks Sanji again he was already beaten, and we dont know how Gin beat Sanji like that.. Sanji even said "Damn it, he's freakin strong as hell" in the next page
also, Gin broke Pearl's armor in 1 hit, and Sanji didnt

Luffy couldn't do as well^^
And Gin was completely fine while Sanji was completely beaten down by Pearl to save Zeff

Maybe he can beat Sanji in East Blue but he is not at the level of the New World, so forget that stupid character.

You know he's most likely stronger too now, right? This isn't Naruto where characters stay the same for hundreds of chapters.
-
Yea let's forget those stupid enemies that beat the strawhats but are not in the level of the New World.
Stupid Marines, Shichibukai and Pirates.

Yea, stupid croco-boy and Enel, better never ever show up again :ninja:
-
I doubt Enel will show up again. He's on the moon!
Gin was strong but unless he has defected from Don Kreig I don't want to see him again.
-

@Lazy:

How long have you been reading One Piece? Of course Eneru will show up again. I believe it was an interview and not an SBS, but all Oda said pretty recently was Eneru's story was not over.
-
@Lazy:
I doubt Enel will show up again. He's on the moon!
What the hell ? From all the arc villains he's the most likely to be shown behind croc. You wouldn't say that if you read his coverstory, or maybe you just don't get that the moon robots/people are, without a doubt, strongly related to the OPverse's histor.
-
@Lazy:
I doubt Enel will show up again. He's on the moon!
You realize that means nothing, right? All the angelic being in the One Piece Universe originated from the moon and traveled to One piece earth via balloon; Enel reached the moon via flying wooden and gold boat; earth Spaceys reached the moon via balloon. Logic means nothing. Shit, for all we know he could have gotten bored and traveled back to earth for giggles.
-
He's got the Fairy Vearth and an army of robots! Why would he come back to the overrated Blue Sea?
-
Because on the Blue Seas, there's lots of places to take over. What else would he do with his army on the moon?
-
Maybe he can beat Sanji in East Blue but he is not at the level of the New World, so forget that stupid character.
Dude, Gin could've gotten stronger. I'm not saying that he'll return in the main story, but you've got to admit that Gin was pretty strong.
-
Because on the Blue Seas, there's lots of places to take over. What else would he do with his army on the moon?
Point exactly. That hypothetical 500,000,000 beri bounty Oda gave Eneru might not go to waste.
! D: Question!! If God Enel were to descend to the Blue Sea, how much would his bounty be? Also, what would happen if he did that? Would he rule the Blue Sea? P.N. Gorozoro O: I see. Interesting question. Knowing how tricky he would be to beat, I'd imagine he could reach as much as 500,000,000 Beli. Luffy was lucky to be rubber. But like Luffy said, there all sorts of even crazier guys down on the Blue Sea. Enel would NOT rule it
-
Things I'd like to see
The Usual
Big Mam not being Lola's mum
Kaidou being the 'Akainu' of the Yonkou - In other words an evil bastard
the world's strongest spear fighter
the world's most powerful hand-to-hand fighter
the world's strongest axe fighter
the Revolutionary army commanders
The New World's version of the Supernovas - Up and coming young pirates making a name for themselves but from the other side of the Red Line
Some interaction between Dragon and the Yonkous would be nice too -
Luffy couldn't do as well^^
And Gin was completely fine while Sanji was completely beaten down by Pearl to save Zeff
Again with this shit…...
Do we have to review what happened to gin as well.
didn't we already have this conversation before?
-
Shouldn't Gin be dead?
-
Foolish question, Sanji will afce him of course!!! with his will of fire the strings will ignite and become usless, and he'll have the hardest struggle of all if nami and robin are used against him, would make for some nice scenes, plus he needs to get him back for camie!!!

I am pretty sure Haki will be able to counter DoFla's ability. Otherwise he would be able to control ANYONE and wouldn't be a mere shibukai.
-

Yep and you proved nbothing so we don't need to go further about this once again.
Just keep it your wayn and I my way
-
I am pretty sure Haki will be able to counter DoFla's ability. Otherwise he would be able to control ANYONE and wouldn't be a mere shibukai.
It's obviously not that simple to counter, he was already shown using his ability on haki users.
-
I don't think dofla's ability would work too well in luffy's body, I mean dofla only could deviate his attacks but not control him becuase luffy is made of rubber.
-
It's obviously not that simple to counter, he was already shown using his ability on haki users.
If you're talking about Jozu then it should be pointed out that he only held him in place for a few seconds, the likelihood of him being able to actually control any of the more capable haki users seems slim to me. At the same time if his ability had no effect whatsoever any fight would be a waste of time, so it makes sense that he can use it against haki users to some extent.
-
I am pretty sure Haki will be able to counter DoFla's ability. Otherwise he would be able to control ANYONE and wouldn't be a mere shibukai.
He managed to take control of Jozu and Kaizeruhige (Vice-Admiral Awesome Mustache), who are both confirmed to be Haki users.
I think the only way to counter Doflamingo's DF is to dodge his supposedly "strings". Might sound hard on practice, but I'm sure whoever gets to fight him will manage to get around it.
-
i remenber that donflamingo couldnt control crocodile, so his ability probably doesnt work on logia types.
just my opinion though. -
He managed to take control of Jozu and Kaizeruhige (Vice-Admiral Awesome Mustache), who are both confirmed to be Haki users.
I can't really tell about Kaizeruhige (it was a meeting so he's been kinda careless) but Jozu was obviously caught in it because he was focused on attacking Croc.
It happened during the attack, while him using Busoshoku, so he couldn't use Kenbunshoku at the same time hence what happened. -
It's obviously not that simple to counter, he was already shown using his ability on haki users.
He got ahold of a Jozu who had his attention elsewhere. That more or less tells us that Haki can't be used to break out once you're caught (unless Jozu just didn't care to, I guess) but that doesn't exclude it being the primary way to avoid getting caught. I expect it would take some heavy CoO work to know where he's going to attempt to place the strings and be able to avoid it, as well as avoid just getting a limb sliced right off. Since the strings appear to be invisible, that seems to be about the only way to counter them besides maybe being a Logia user. It'll be something to truly put Luffy's Observation Haki proficiency to the test somewhere down the line, I reckon.
-
Maybe powerful swordsmen can cut the strings. Logias are also unaffected.
-
i remenber that donflamingo couldnt control crocodile, so his ability probably doesnt work on logia types.
just my opinion though.Doflaminga can either control bodies, or cut parts with the supposed strings (see Oars).
Yeah he can't cut logias but there's been no confirmation as to control them (even if not being able to seems more plausible).
