On the topic of videos, I'm really enjoying the technobeats people are making with MLP songs. Some of them are pretty catchy, really good for background music while studying.
I must say, this is quite a fandom, lots of quality material. Now I'm just waiting on hasbro for a good line of FiM toys and I'll be content.

I just had an interesting thought.
Spike is the only baby dragon we've seen in the whole series, even if it's only the first season. Even so, why does the entrance exam to Celestia's Magic Academy feature the task of hatching a dragon egg? If other unicorns had succeeded in hatching dragon eggs, shouldn't we see many more little dragons?
Thus, I speculate the task was never to hatch the dragon egg, but a test of character to see if the unicorn filly is modest enough to admit failure. I think such a test design fits Trollestia very well, in a benevolent way of course. But then Twilight proved herself to be an anomaly.
In addition, Spike is a baby dragon, yet exhibits behavior identical to a 12-year-old boy, but in a baby dragon's body. I guess that means dragons age very slowly, and acquire vast amounts of knowledge and wisdom by the time they are adults. But that doesn't make sense in context of the dragons who live in caves and horde gold and jewels. Maybe those cave dragons are "fallen" dragons? Why did Celestia have a dragon's egg? Is there a Draconian civilization? Twilight must have pondered this too.

Sounds bizarre. Recently I did see an episode of a different version of MLP in which some really creepy zebra stole the shadows of three baby ponies and then they were put in cages. Decided not to continue watching, not only was the plot extremely disturbing but the animation was horrific.
But it makes one appreciate just how effective a job Faust has done.

The plants were'nt realy scarry, they just sucked up some foilage, gained muscle mass and sprouted legs.
The series also featured an evil fish that made half of people dissapear with a magic gem and I believe two monkey/chimp scientists.
