…not sure if it a translation error or that is exactly what she actually said
Like Diivil just said, that could just be from the subber adding "using it [the card]" extemporaneously when it wasn't stated in such exact terms; the way Ray found Luffy was established the same as in the manga.
As for Vivi's comment's about the mark, it was a lot less obvious what it actually was when we first saw it in that tiny picture. The anime shows it from every angle, so it would make much less sense to not be commented on.
LOL Thank you. So a translation mistake or a slightly odd way of phrasing it, either way it turns out to be ok. I stand corrected, and thank you both.
This episode was really well animated and drawn. You could tell from Usopp's scene, Buggy's scene, and Crocodile's scene.
It does seem like Toei is giving too many hints about the secret in the newspaper, but seriously, I'm pretty sure a good majority of the viewers in Japan know what's going to happen anyway.
Yes that is a good way of looking at it JC–I hadn't thought of that. D'oh. LOL. Thank you.
@Shift:
Hey, did anyone notice in Brook's scene, where the long-arm captors derided him over being able to read without eyeballs, and he got annoyed? It's like, he says the exact same things about himself all the time as jokes, but get's insulted when someone else says it. Don't think that was ever touched upon officially, but it's really kinda fascinating.
Yes I found that little bit of insight into his character interesting, and I wonder who's idea it was and how accurate it might be. Seems like it could be partially the source as well–maybe if it was someone he liked, and not a captor, he'd feel better about it.
@Monkey.D.Joeru:
That episode was really enjoyable, liked to see Zoro struggle at the end :D
Yes. My son was at first confused, since of everyone on the crew, Zoro gets Luffy the most, usually IHHO (he's a huge Zoro fan and not at all happy that Zoro turned out to be the "dull" one) and then my daughter said something I found interesting–that Zoro gets Luffy really well, but this idea was Ray's, that's why he didn't understand so easily. Maybe that isn't news to anyone else, but I thought it was a good insight. LOL
@Ryuksgelus:
I don't like how they made Mr.3 seem like some unimportant sidekick and Alvida the true first mate. Should have given him more filler scenes. I missed the bat, if it was there, too. Other than those things alright episode. Whats with the preview showing us the face of the person Don was talking to? Makes him seem like some nobody now.
Aw I just had the impression they were catching up and debriefing after being separated so long. Not sure Mr 3 (who most definitely deserves it) will be 1st mate, though, as the original crew still seem to expect their original places, lol.
And the bat was there, for a brief moment, when 3 first comes in with the message.
