Found some more pics of Akainu POP from Wonder fest. Still undecided as to whether to pre-order him next week. The face sculpt really is a bit meh, and is it just the perspective or does he look really small compared to Kizaru?

Another option is to get the banpresto marine dx akainu but theres no display of devil fruit powers.

The magma effects look really good, and i'm excited to see what accessories he'll come with. I suppose I've already got Aokiji, and getting his cape at end of month (no way was gonna buy the whole figure again just for the repaint). Probably get Kizaru as well, so may as well make it a complete set. Maybe it's just because I hate him for what he did to Ace :sad: lol

I dont really like figuarts zero, just doesnt impress me much.
He looks really bad and i feel the plastic they use is of low quality.
The POP DF effect is more awesome.

My fav. Akainu will still be Banpresto DX.
I dont think this POP is anywhere close to that.But that's the thing. Right now, megahouse can get away with almost anything.
Bad Quality Control, Bad sculpt, Repainted, Limited re-release, etc etc…..and ppl will still buy them all.Akainu's face is just looks so funny. Like he's going to cry or something.

Looks like Master Star Luffy is gonna be in the special edition box of Gigant Battle 2 on the DS. Has anywhere even put him up seperately? Hmmm. Well, saves me trying to get him seperate lol.
Anywho. My top 10 WCF in no particular order
Robin vol 15. Great sculpt, even has the 'is she friend or foe?' vibe going on. Only problem is her mouth
Chopper vol 13. Again a nice sculpt and great detail on the hat.
Jango vol 9. It's Jango. Despite the guy being awesome doesn't get any love
Luffy vol 12. The only Luffy WCF I've found to be really great. Excellent sculpt, excellent expression, works great if you have Magellan and Mr. 3
Lasoo vol 16. LOOOOOONG figure is LOOOONG. Love it's expression and the sculpt.
Chopper SW set 5/6. Pimpin in Pink. Great expression and love his lil cup.
Miss Doublefinger + Robin vol 16. Both have great sculpts. Only fail is Robin's mouth once again invisible
Bonney vol 5. Love the design on the figure. One of the few figures that actually had a perfect paintjob too.
Hiruluk/Kureha vol 13. Like these both about the same. Design on them is fab. Paintwork is excellent. Just all around just amazing. -

You know, it's funny (or more coincidental actually) that 9/8 is national day in my country (and hence public holiday for most) and so it will potentially make orders so much slower and harder on those Japan sites that I've grown fond of ordering from (since they deliver to your doorstep and it's usually not overpriced compared to proxy pricing). Really really hoping that for SG doesn't have a huge fanbase for One Piece. Or that everyone will just remain ignorant. Hopefully.
Though then again the situation's probably worse in Japan even without any holidays and stuff :/ Wonder how this will affect Robin's resale price from now on though, I'd feel sorry for alot of people if it plummeted like how Nami's did earlier..

We shoud not encourage ppl not to quit. Collecting stuff is fun as long as it don't hurt. And I mean money can hurt. Especially if all you pay for is a feeling and some plastic. While a feeling of joy cannot assgin to a certain price, you still need it for your everyday live. You can also do a lot of good things for others with it. But everyone has their own reason and decisions to make. i just think we shouldn't encourage ppl to move on collecting. If someone can live without it and still is happy it's a rather good thing ^^

Yeah I do agree, Megahouse has really been giving us lots of crap recently. Like the Nami repaint, "limited edition" sculpts that aren't even limited so to speak. If you ask me, they seem to be more concerned with milking us of our money (take wedding hancock for example) than actually doing sculpts that the public hopes for them to produce. It's really getting more and more ridiculous with each announcement they make.
I don't think we should blame Megahouse on Aokiji though. His first sculpt was released because of his encounter with Robin. And he had no marine coat on then. But yeah they should have had more foresight than that, again with the money milking. So really it's all about selective collecting now, if Megahouse doesn't have the brains to decide which sculpts the public will actually give two hoots about, then it's time for us as buyers to produce our own filter system with regards to the crap they're producing. Especially when there are now so many other lines that have become so much better (Grandline, FAZ etc.) I'd say they have much more to lose than us.

I didn't get a set but I've seen a few of them. BB is especially cute, Moria and Kuma not so much but they still look great.

I received my Romance Dawn Manuscript last night and I must say I haven't been this happy for receiving a package for a while.
I have zero regrets getting this amazing collectors item. The high price tag wasn't for any reason, the item itself wasn't made by cheap materials, plus it's one piece. I'll explain through…this is gonna be image heavy but I need to show the details a bit ^^'

the package of the box is made out of a nice thin card board, they used foiling on the mugiwara gold pattern so it has a nice feeling when you touch it. Same goes for the rest of Golden lettering.
While the inner package is made out of thick cardboard covered with a nice type of fabric, it really gives it an elegant and of an importance look. Especially since they used black and gold, it really does
feel like a collectors item, it's actually more like you've been given an award prize ^^' that's even the impression before looking at the inside.! Front

first page is a wanted poster of luffy with a circular diecut in the center of a different luffy illustration that you will see fully once you flip the pages.

since this is limited, it tells you which number you've got. Mine is #9269
The Manuscript is basically the same original size of the manga paper which is B4
being the original size, you'll notice better details here of the ink lines of the drawings.
I was also impressed that they didn't only copy the colored pages, but they also copied the back of each page.
you will see ink traces/marks of the colored pages shown below, this really makes it look like you have the original copy ^^.! >!

Overall, I love collecting books and items with a nice packaging since I really pay attention to the details.
So I'm super impressed and super happy to get this ^^ they did an extremely good job with the art direction to make this come out right.

Thanks for the pictures iomi! It looks great! Kinda like a museum artifact. I wonder if the value will increase though it doesnt seem to be limited. The only thing that came to my mind is resell, other than that i dont really need this unreadable book. Expensive too!

I believe it's limited. AFAIK there was a certificate with a number? As all One Piece stuff this will sold out sooner or later and be of value as long as One Piece is at its peak. Don't know if a mere fan is willing pay too much for this though.
And I wouldn't buy stuff to resell it. I wonder who here is just a collector and who is actually using One Piece merchandise to earn money (,too). ^^ -

And then of course I'll probably get the girls from Chibi-arts as well.
