Think of it using the Wiimote/nunchuck as an actual nunchuck and maybe some basic game items like the beam sword for basic attacks, pulling out the super scope and power glove for smash attacks, and of course his final smash would be Pause.

you know its like dragonball z games. you can pick what goku you want. do you want kid goku, raditz goku, namek, buu goku, dbgt goku . picking a goku that has his abilities and power that he HAD at that time in the story. same here, pick your generation trainer and he has those starting pokemon.

Well, I don't know much about this, but 'hackers' have found code for an character in Brawl that they've interpreted to be Plusle and Minun. That would have had three of the (current for that time) four represented by a character.
However, if Plusle and Minun is Sakurai's idea of representing the third generation by playable characters, then I don't want it represented. I can't stand Plusle and Minun. Their existence bothers me to begin with. I wish they didn't have to exist as Pokemon. I certainly don't want to see them in the SSB4 there are much better Pokemon to choose from. We don't need anymore electric rodents, and seriously if one has to be chosen it should be one of them with a slight bit more creativity than that.

Jigglypuff is staying. She would have been gone in Brawl if she was going anywhere. Lucario will be replaced either with Zoroark or Mewtwo, most likely the former and that's really it. Plus one rep even has 3 pokemon for one character. So right now Pokemon has more playable reps than any other franchise, and it doesn't need any more right now.
And Little Mac probably is the Retro Fighter with the best chance.

That would upset a lot of people, including myself. Jigglypuff has become a part of Smash Bros. more than anything else. She's more of a part of the series than Roy or Mewtwo ever were and she has a unique moveset.

It still annoys me how Snake got in last time. Especially considering aside from the way old Metal Gears Nintendo has yet to see any exclusive Metal Gear games. Twin Snakes was a port. Snake Eater is a 3DS port. From one of the first release interviews someone said the reason Snake was in was as a trade for getting some exclusive. :/
Twin Snakes was not a port. It was a remake and actually played quite differently and had a different feel from the original.

As much as I dislike alternate forms of the same character, Paper Mario has been a character I have wanted ever since Melee.
There's just a lot of potential with Paper Mario as being unique, and I do believe that he has at least a little bit of a chance. With three Paper Mario games and a new one coming out soon Paper Mario is a very relevant series at the moment, and there aren't too many other great Mario character choices (aside from Toad and Bowser Jr.).
Unfortunately, much of the same could have been said for Toon Link, but look what happened with him. The good thing is that unlike Toon Link, Paper Mario doesn't even have all of the abilities that regular Mario does, so making him a clone would just be flat out weird.

I believe Paper Mario is relevant enough he has been on all consoles (not including hand helds) since the Nintendo 64.
For stages, I'd really like an updated Smashville that changes with the seasons as well. If I could have Ridley and Sukapon both playing on Smashville… That would be. Just. Oh my goodness.
ASIDE FROM THAT. I'm really hoping for a Mario Galaxy stage. We'll have plenty of standard stages, so I want something CRAZY for a Galaxy stage. Also Bowser's Castle would be amazing. He kind of needs a stage for himself at this point. Oh, and if Takamaru is playable, I'm convinced his stage would be amazing. Imagine fighting on the roof of a Japanese castle with a beautiful Japanese landscape in the background. Sakura blossoms blowing in the wind. Rivers flowing calmly. Gorgeous. SUDDENLY LIGHTNING STRIKES. Everything turns dark as demons (or was it aliens?) invade. The landscape becomes nightmarish with bones everywhere and rivers now flow with blood. No more sakura blossoms BECAUSE THE TREES ARE NOW ON FIRE. Just yes. I seriously mainly want Takamaru to get in just because of that imagined stage. >3>
Got off on a bit of a tangent there. Tourian would work out pretty nicely I think. Mother Brain could be in the background, maybe every once in a while it would fire that hyper beam at you. Pretty sure it would have a ton of stage hazards. A boxing ring for Little Mac might be fun. Bouncing off the ropes and such. If Chibi-Robo got in (whichiknowhewontBUTIDIDLOVETHATGAME~) it would be really neat for each fighter to be 10 cm tall, fighting on a coffee table or something. Kind of a throw back to the original Smash opening. OH, and a Paper Mario stage would be awesome. You would just HAVE to fight on that stage where each battle takes place in Paper Mario. The audience could toss items at you. Stage lights and buckets could fall on top of you. The background could also change (like a page turning!) to show different notable places in the Paper Mario series. Also I think Mii will likely get in, so a Wuhu Island stage would be inevitable. (I guess it'd be neat seeing your other Miis watching you fight in the background)

Wow you thought about this. Actually some of those i also want like the Galaxy, paper mario, Wuhu Island and galaxy levels among others. I don't know if i want another Pokemon Stadium though. It's like the metroid levels with rising lava or the fox levels set on the Great Fox. They've been in every single smash game and i kinda want something different
For a Pokemon stage, I would actually think that a couple of really cool ideas from BW, like the massive city where the 3rd gym is or maybe one of the haunted ghost towers. Heck, even Victory Road this time, with the huge mountain-like structure and caves where one can go in and out of to go around the stage while the occasional massive Pokemon threat (like a Haxorous or a Hydreigon blowing everyone up) would be a lot of fun.
For a MOTHER 3 stage I'd want that Lightning Tower place. Either that or the starting town.
I'd like to see a Safari Zone or something. While fighting Taurus/Rhyhorns charge and Grass pokemon use Stun Spore/Sleep Powder etc

Golden Sun stage should be the Apollo Sanctum and/or the Venus Lighthouse. Either of those would make impressive levels.
For another Mother 3 level, I could see the Empire Porky Building working well as a constantly changing stage. You go up through the various weird floors of the building, then get dropped down deep into the earth, where Porky mined for the final needle. I'd also like to see Jeff and Duster as character candidates. They've definitely got the potential to have interesting and unique movesets, between Jeff's inventive mind and Duster's thief arts.
The new Smashville stage should definitely not only feature changing seasons (with real time) but it should also feature the updated visuals of Animal Crossing 3DS. I'm sure that Animal Crossing 3DS will have been out for quite a while once the two SSB games come out.
For a Golden Sun stage I've seen Venus Lighthouse suggested a lot, but probably just so it could feature
. Back before Brawl, I personally preferred the area you reach from Sol Sanctum where you find the Elemental Stars. I don't know the name of the place, but I always thought it would make a cool stage - One large platform in the middle with some smaller and medium sized platforms off to the side. It's better than the Battlefield arrangement that all stages seem to be turning into these days, anyway.

I know. Sorry, I wasn't being serious when I said people were suggesting it for the music. I just remember back before Brawl, Golden Sun fans really rallied behind the idea of the Venus Lighthouse theme showing up in Brawl, and it would appear that some supported that stage in particular due to the music.

I'd love to see Skyloft. It could have a similar idea to the temple stage in melee being a really big level. Plus it would look awesome with the birds and angel statues. I also want to see a paper mario themed level on a stage like when you battle in Paper Mario but the background can change much like an actual stages backdrop and if a hard enough shock happens the backdrop can actually fall down like in the game. I want to see paper stagehand toads and koopas running in the background changing the setting :P

The reason i say this is because I doubt Sakurai will repeat the smashville stage but with updated graphics but if it's in a city then he can change things up. As far as i know the 3DS AC may have a City like the Wii game in which case it doesn't matter. I think the characters will look like the 3DS version but it will be a city like the Wii game.

There's a chance that the 3DS may use content solely from the handheld side of Nintendo while the Wii U only uses content from the Console side. Considering that the characters you choose to customize will be transferable from the 3DS to the Wii U version that is pretty unlikely
At the very least, it is pretty safe to assume all the characters on the 3DS version will be on the WiiU version. Not necessarily the other way around.

That's just silly. The Wii U version will obviously have more content. I'm curious to see how big a difference between the two versions there are. Will they be released at the same time? What's gonna be on the 3DS version that makes it so different from the Wii U version. Guess we'll have to wait till next E3 :(
actually, I don't see why they couldn't have the same roster size. There's a lot of content in smash bros. that isn't the roster, and if the 3DS version had basically just the roster and a few toned-down stages (imagine all the features of smash 64 but with 50 characters) I think that could possibly fit.

Well Street Fighter 4 3D has already a lot of playable fighters and it is just a port so I think we could easily get 50 fighters.

The size limit is 2gb i believe however MGS3D has a special cartridge that's 4GB so smash bros could have that as well.
