@Buuhan1:
Yeah, read an interview with Flynn yesterday and he's… not happy.
He's even gone out of his way to try and contact them for almost a year now (since the games reveal last E3). There's no evidence Snake would be in the game, but David Hayter is equally in the dark about Rising. Honestly, I thought the game looked really cool with its cutting mechanic, but... things are very rocky with the game and I'm actually expecting it not to be great when finally released.
From what I understand (and this was back when the game was announced about 2 years ago or so) Kojima mentioned that he doesn't really have much involvement in the development of MGS:Rising ("outside of complaining" as he put it). It's being developed by another team altogether with minimal supervision by Kojima so it may as well not even be a "real" Metal Gear Solid game.
Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing what Project Cafe has to offer. I personally think Nintendo is a lot more poised to take over this year than the other guys. Since they've pretty much squeezed all they could tech-wise out with the Wii the transition to HD gives them a lot of unexplored space in terms of their IPs to work with. Hell, if emulators are any proof, the new console may even be able to upscale Wii games to 1080p.
I can't really think of anything to expect from Sony, maybe more info on Dark Souls and the PSP remasters, but I'll sit out and wait to be surprised.
Microsoft is practically "whatever" with Kinect (outside of Child of Eden) unless they hold strong on their promise to deliver "hardcore games on the Kinect". Actually, I kind of want to see them do a little better since last year was just a whole lot of nothing from them.
