Was there really any point to bringing this back up? I admitted that I overreacted an apologized for it. Can we just let this go to rest

Yes we're going to let it rest, I went along with the joke. Indeed, let us move on.
So, is anyone else rooting for Kunieda to kick some major ass in the future. I rather like her, and I get a bit disappointed when Oga just asks her to sit on the sidelines holding Beel and when she gets owned by that one Demon General (whose name escapes me at the moment). Of course I'm not going to play the sexism card, we all know Kunieda is a very capable fighter and she led the team during the dodgeball match (since she was really the only one suited for the role). I just hope she does something really cool in the future, to make up for both of those less than grand moments. Once again I'm not calling Tamura sexist, really as far as Shonen mangaka go there are much worse (Kishimoto says hi) and Kunieda is nowhere near Sakura levels of failure. I'm just rooting for her like I always do for that one supporting character who really speaks to me in manga I like (although you could consider her a main character, though not to the same level as Oga, Hilda and Furuichi but anyway)
And by the way, Beelzebub is currently my 8th favorite manga of all time (of the manga I've read which is admittedly not that many compared to other people on this forum, and I'm planning to read more so it'll probably fall eventually). It barely loses to Toriko and in the future it could edge out Toriko and Soul Eater (which is 6th) I do see much potential in the series. Of course I also see a lot of potential in Toriko but anyway. And obviously #1. is One Piece and #2. is Berserk. Berserk is a very close second, the main reason it loses is because I haven't been following it for nearly as long. But anyway OT.
@Kareem:
Yes we're going to let it rest.
This isn't how it works bub.
This isn't how it works bub.
Aw, Crap.
Nice Hellboy line there, I'm pretty sure he says that, I'm not too familiar with him. By the way with your "bub" line and your posting in the X-Men Anime thread you seem to have at least a mild interest in Western comic books. I'm a fairly rare breed in that I like American Comics and Manga more or less equally (the reason I specify American is because at the end of the day manga are still comics, they just have a very different presentation is all). So I guess I'm just asking how big of an American comics fan are you?
And if it feels like I'm trying to change the subject; that's probably because I am. Anyway we're getting way off topic but I tried to watch the X-Men Anime because I actually like the idea of Marvel Comics anime, but I stopped at one scene because I just knew that Scott (Cyclops) was going to ANGST! about Jean like he always does and I'm so tired of that shit. I actually don't mind Cyclops like a lot of other people do, but I can't deny when he's written badly he's just insufferable. Joss Whedon seems to get him. Because Joss Whedon is God. I say this as someone who has only read his Astonishing X-Men, 8 episodes of Firefly and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and I can already tell that he's one of the most awesome writers ever. But we should probably continue this discussion (if you even want to have it) somewhere else, since this thread is for Beelzebub.
@Kareem:
It's not nearly as bad as waiting for Hunter x Hunter chapters. Seriously Togashi doesn't even have the vague resemblance of a schedule like Miura does.
By the way, I have a question. Which do you prefer, Toriko or Beelzebub? Those are pretty much the two best Jump series right now behind One Piece. But which is better? Personally I could go either way. On one hand I like the Beelzebub cast more than the Toriko cast. (Not saying Toriko has a bad cast, but most of them you don't really care about, although Zebra's cool). I'd have to say the action in Toriko is better than Beelzebub's action. Toriko is indeed the manliest manga I have read. The worldbuilding in Toriko is the second biggest reason I like Toriko, Shimabukuro has created a very exciting and fascinating world with his series. Toriko also has better art, but that's not a huge deal for me. Beelzebub is a lot funnier, but that's to be expected with it being half Gag manga.
I could pick either for 2nd best current Jump series. But for now I've decided on Toriko, I just feel it's more epic than Beelzebub, but only by a bit. What are your thoughts?
I love both and I, honest to god, feel both have the potential to match the very best Jump titles of all time if they keep growing and live up to my lofty expectations. However, at the point and time I prefer Toriko.
Even if One Piece wasn’t quite as great as it is I would still love it. I have said this a thousand times. One of the reasons is the amazing journey we go on with the main cast threw beautiful, lush, imaginative new lands on a grand adventure while building a large and immersive world. Toriko shares this quality with One Piece while Beelzebub does not. I always think that Beelzebub appeals to the more YuYu Hakusho fandom inside of me. School brawls with supernatural otherworlds sinking their teeth into the once semi-normal dimension and a protagonist who is a bit of a jerk and feared by many peers. I love this archetype as well but not as much as the world-building heavy adventure series.
Both have wonderful and unique art. I really don’t even see how the two can be compared. Toriko’s had to grow on me but at this point I love it while I always liked Beelzebub.
Toriko’s motif is food and the gourmet arts – Beelzebub is a series that thrives on humor.
Both have a wonderful ensemble cast but I can see how Beelzebub’s would seem more impressive.
Overall, I still say it’s early in the game for both of these series (hopefully at least) and I enjoy Toriko a bit more but as fans we should all be grateful that we are getting to see each one grow and progress – it’s all very exciting.
Soooo, this chapter made the suspected rankings pretty much confirmed. Naga is a beast compared to the other two for now fodder characters, and easily outranks them. Fortunately the series has left room for them with the fact that demons become far stronger with a contractor, and it could even make the two weaker demons relevant again. This talk of the martial arts faction is pretty cool too. We get an example of tremendous growth from Oga without damaging the power levels for the remainder of the story, so plot wise I'm happy with it. After this, however, only the strongest demons will be a threat without a contractor. There's no way that Oga should be able to stomp Naga decisively I hope, though it seems like he has to win anyway.
But now I really have no idea whether Toujou or Kunieda will make an appearance. Himekawa and them should have at least shown up by now. They're slacking, but I think they'll show up soon enough and that'll be fine.
People ignore it in Beelzebub because Beelzebub is a bad series.
All the baby penis stuff got really dumb really fast and whatever, but I hate you for this comment.
Wait, did I say Beelzebub is bad? Did not mean to do that. I meant to say they ignored it in Beelzebub because Beelzebub is a good series
Hi, I just read Beelzebub about a cpl of days ago, and I must say. This is a damn good manga. But I'm still at 80-ish chapter. The one where Behemoth's squad just appeared. And I gotta say, the coming of highly super-powered peoples usually marks a manga's turn point. If the author messes up, it'll go downhill from there. So I'm just hoping this one doesnt.
Btw, I'm a big fan of Queen, so Freddie Mercury in there is a great added plus. And the name Beelzebub as well, did the author take it from Bohemian Rhapsody? I mean there are a lot of devil names around, why Beelzebub?

I think its a pun for the word Babu, which is a Japanese sound babies make. Since the kana of Beelzebub is read as Beruzebabu.

Then explain freddy mercury Alain.
RAW… or maybe Chinese scan all I know is I looked for Beelzebub 108b RAW

! Holy shit Oga is real demon…
! The final picture of Oga is interesting. I wonder if this means beels other powers can be used for himself. Take Beels ability to increase in size….
I just don't get it. Why isn't this series more popular when trash like Naruto and Fairy Tail reign supreme? I have yet to come across a character I don't like and no one does the delinquent theme better. There are countless hilarious moments too, like Oga's dad showing off his grovelling techniques, Toujou and Oga cheating during the volleyball match, Oga wielding Alain Delon, or pretty much anything that involves Himekawa. If I did have a complaint, it would be that there are too many token gay dudes. We've already got Alain Delon, the leader of MK-5, and the bald guy that trained with Oga just in the first 100 chapters. Other than that it's amazing. Hopefully it will at least gain a spot among the top 5 series in Jump.
@Alpha:
I just don't get it. Why isn't this series more popular when trash like Naruto and Fairy Tail reign supreme?.
The obvious answer being time.
However beelzebub not only had an anime series sooner then Naruto, but also won best new manga of 2010. Not to mention a much faster growing fan-base despite the gargantuan amount of other manga rivals. Something Kishimoto didn't have to this degree when the series first started. I think the likelihood is that this manga series will join the top three mangas a some point in the future if it carries on impressing the way it is.
I was kinda worried that Beelzebub enters the SS 2 line of shonen.. but that spoiler ..pacified me.
This chapter looks crazy. I'm going to refrain from commenting until I read a translation though.
@Alpha:

Three reasons, and smudge covered the first. The second is that the anime sucks toilet bowl compared to the manga. Animes are responsible for bringing in a lot of fans. The final reason is that some people can't get past the naked baby. It's a fairly small minority, but I can name a mod who falls into that category (but I won't).
@Alpha:

it's a gag manga.
they just flat out don't attract as much of a following, and the shitty anime doesn't help. Look at Gintama. Nearly everyone who reads it loves it, and it even has a great anime. But the popularity of the franchise? a mere fraction of naruto's.
if you're talking about just the manga's popularity among online readers, then I agree that the baby penis is off-putting to a bunch of people, even though it is literally no thing.
I can name a mod who falls into that category (but I won't).
This explains a lot of things.
! Did Oga and Beel just merged? I don't see any baby at the last pic. WICKED!!!!
I guess… I should just give up any notion of not being spoiled in this thread? o_o throws up hands
Then explain
freddy mercuryAlain.
Err, yeah. Ryuhei made Beelzebub because he wants a character who looks like Freddy. He totally didn't think of a baby demon at first. lol
Maybe its just a matter of what really came first. And hell if love for Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody is the origin of this series. It will be really hilarious and crazy.
@spoiler
! Oooh, that milk is crazy. Wonder whose milk it is. (Alain?)
It's actually demon steroids distributed in powdered sachets. :ninja:
Yeah guys, put spoilers in spoiler tags. You all know the rules.
I thought that was ignored a long time ago. Meh, tag it if you even consider something that unrevealing a spoiler.
Orrrr you could just watch what you say out of tags until after the actual chapter comes out?
If you're commenting on something that you see in the raw, err on the side of caution. It's just courtesy, and it isn't asking much.
Orr…you can always wait till the chapter comes out so you won't be spoiled. Whiner much.

Whelp, you got tagged, AND you're whining about getting reprimanded, so… one of us is right,
and one of us is wrong. Figure out which.
(PS. It's still not asking for much.)
You got spoiled. Who got the last laugh? Whelp. Figure it out.

Stop being an idiot, you should just admit it was a silly mistake and move on with life instead of instigating flame wars.

No, you can stop posting spoilers without tags. That's a universal rule on this forum, regardless of how actively it's being policed at the time.
You know full well that didn't amount to anything. Over sensitive whiners could just suck it up.
I already mentioned you can do whatever you see fit. TAG EM ALL and have fun.
No, you don't seem to understand my point. My point is that I expect to not have to tag another. If I have to it'd likely accompany a thread ban.
We have a no tolerance policy of untagged spoilers because it's easier if it's black and white.
No, you didn't seem to get my point either. I will not put a spoiler tag on something I do not consider a spoiler.
I still clearly remember that spoiler incident that happened before with Smudger. Mods gave it an OK…so... that no tolerance policy you're talking about is kind of sketchy in my book.
Fine, let me know when you've changed your mind.
Seriously, what the hell are the two birds doing O.o
I don't know man but they got serious beef with that white cat. They really wanted a piece of him.
Err, yeah. Ryuhei made Beelzebub because he wants a character who looks like Freddy. He totally didn't think of a baby demon at first. lol
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
As usual its best to use spoiler tags on new chapter pics and discussion. Unless however you can review the material and be obscure enough not to give it away like I often do.
e.g. An awesome chapter indeed.

Great chapter. Testing how warm the milk was was really funny.
This feels like its going to be his limit for a long time.
Great chapter!!!!
awesome chapter
It was so funny when baby beel tried to force feed oga
Wow he got really powerfull. These guys are in for one hell of a beating.
Another fine chapter. Super Milk Time, ha! I just love the prep that has to go into this attack–that, and the risk involved in using this technique leads me to think that it probably won't be overused during battles (or if so, then we'll likely get panels of Oga trying to dodge attacks while the milk cools, also fun). Seeing Oga jump around with that maniacal grin on his face while yelling "Dabu!" was simply a blast--every week, this manga wins my heart all over again. And that last panel? Awesome. ^^
Can't wait to see what power this "full synchro" brings.
It seems it's unanimous. Another great chapter. I also love the name of Oga's new technique. Just imagine someone saying as dramatically as possible Super. Milk. Time. Reminds me of Cartman in that one season 12 episode with his "Super. Fun. Time." And yes Oga when he used the milk was awesome and I imagine next chapter will also be really awesome, perhaps even more awesome. Indeed I'm glad that Beelzebub is now starting to do better than Bleach in the Jump rankings, although sadly it still hasn't solidly beaten Naruto yet.
All this awesome got me thinking: everybody else is gonna have to play HELLA catchup if they want to be even close to Oga's level right now. damn.
and yes, great fighting, great chapter.
