Goddammit, gravity control (especially using it to make black holes) is one of the coolest abilities there is and seeing Reborn totally fumble it is almost painful.

so, he's gonna go pew pew with both hands now. um, this shouldn't work. Then entire reason he only used one was because he needed the other to shoot in the opposite direction so he could brace himself, that sort of thing.
If he shoots both in the same direction, he really ought to just go flying backwards and get his shit wrecked, because otherwise he's been doing things the stupid way for like 150 chapters.
-
Maybe he'll have a 3rd x-burner shooting out of his ass to brace himself.

If you noticed, his upgrade is that the gauntlets shoot the "gentle" bracing flames backward so he can use both hands. I found it an interesting idea, but for something with such buildup it was horribly lackluster and feels like it should have came earlier since all he did since he learned it was spam X Burner (sans absorbing Ghost).

New chapter's out at mangastream.
So with the 2nd to final fight, this arc reaches a close. Not gonna lie, the final fight of Tsuna vs Enma was… really disappointing. There was so much potential with Enma and his gravity abilities, but they were just wasted by creating some black holes and Enma was nuts the whole time and by the end didn't even fight back. Bad Vongola Gear, and the attack was okay looking but there was no way to gauge how powerful it really was, so even it couldn't have an impact on you. So the fight that was built up for so long was... bad, all things considering.
I'm expecting nothing but good things from Mukuro's fight though. Like it's been discussed before, he's one of the few characters that doesn't disappoint. I'm glad they're giving him the final fight; he's much more worthy of it.
Edit: Also, page 16 really had me rolling in complete lameness. But Tsuna made it sound less stupid by 17

I started reading this manga but when that guy with dynamites appeared I just suddenly lost interest. Is it worth picking it up again?

No
…........

chapter was boring. :[

If you're going to be facetious, don't use Chapter 2 for your joke.
Chapter was okay. I didn't really expect Enma to fight much being that he was basically under the influence of his hate. Once snapped out of it, he's just a timid kid, much like Tsuna is without HDW. I think that's the whole point Amano has been trying to make since the start of the series, but many people fail to realize even now.
As for Mukuro and Spade, they're not kids, and their fight will definitely reflect this. That one I'm definitely looking forward to.
-
That chapter was disappointing on another level, like really really really bad

you're right of course, as this chapter proved. I guess I just didn't give enough shits to notice that earlier.
and I don't know what comes next. Do they fight Daemon first, or break out their buddies from the prison? After they do both of that, hopefuflly they can just crown Tsuna successfully and this manga can come to an end before it REALLY turns to shit.

A fucking Vindice
! Arcobaleno
Pics
!
Summary from MH
! Summary of 333 (from what I can see)
! -Seems like a lighthearted start as the group joke around a bit (Reborn even gave Enma and Tsuna a combination name: The dame dame combi, it warms my heart)
! -THEN THE VINDICE SHOWS UP and intends to take away Enma, but not before revealing the 6th key which is a transparent pacifier.
! -It appears that Cozart had wanted his existence to be wiped away, and for his family to be bullied down the generations. (perhaps it was a plan to fool Daemon, I’m not sure). Giotto refused to follow through with it, saying that he’ll be passing this suffering down his generations. But Cozart says his family isn’t as weak as Giotto thinks. G watches the argument and notes that Cozart won’t give in even when Giotto is troubled by it. Giotto reluctantly agrees, saying as long as Vongola exists, he vows to support the Simon from the shadows.
! -Then the Vindice of the past shows up, and Giotto names one of them: Bermuda Von Veckenschtein (not sure of the spelling but sounds German) A VINDICE ARCOBALENO? LAST BOSS ANYONE?
! -Reborn gets heated and demands to know why the Vindice has a transparent pacifier
! -And finally commence the battle of the pineapple and watermelon. -
I think Cozart's reasoning was kinda bullshit. He totally pussied out. What possible downside to taking down daemon could there be. and then he says that they shouldn't stick around because they would become the vongola's weak point. but then two pages later says that his family is strong enough to finish the matter in the future. wtf.
-
You're missing the message there. What Cozart was saying was that there is no need to sacrifice more people and waste more resources by continuing to resist Daemon, but rather let Daemon think he won. He then goes on to say the family is strong enough to live with their "Defeat".
Also, this Clear Pacifier Arcobaleno and how it got Reborn riled up has me excited. That means that we're getting close to learning the full story behind the Arcobaleno. Amano's finally getting the endgame story in gear.
-
And here I was thinking the Shimon arc would be the final.
Then again I thought Byakuran had that vibe about him too….
-
Well I'm glad that lame fight is wrapped up. I'm very curious about the clear Arcobaleno, but otherwise I'm just glad we're past that. I freaked out when they snuck Mukuro in there at the end. I can already tell this fight will be good; Mukuro doesn't disappoint.
I'm really hoping he pulls a Yamamoto next chapter and busts out his Vongola Gear… I really hope...

and how many more lives will it cost, if Daemon is allowed to run the show? The Vongola family from the 2nd generation onwards was much more brutal than the Primo. Why? Gee, maybe because of the influence of a shape-shifting, immortal evil illusionist named Daemon Spade! Seriously, there was no reason NOT to take him down way back then.
and yeah, I am excited to see the endgame of this manga. I really want to see all the "mystery" explained, and to see Tsuna officially inherit the title.
-
The coolest part of this chapter was that Vindice Arcobaleno which I believe Amano made up right on the spot, if it was previously mentioned elsewhere than please let me know.
But yeah I've always liked the Vindice's look in this series an that Arcobaleno just wins.Next week: A genjutsu battle that doesn't have one guy continously saying "when were you under the impression that you even hit me?"
Tsuna vs. Enma final battle was fucking weak sauce. I actually liked there little confrontation after Gokudera vs. Shitt.P
-
So it's looking like the memorable fights from this arc will remain Lambo vs … his opponent, Yamamoto vs Spade (if you count that as a fight), and hopefully Mukuro vs Spade (again, I can't possibly see how this fight could be bad, but we'll see). And you know, even Ryohei's fight wasn't that bad really. Hibari's was meh, and Tsuna's and Gokudera's was just terrible.
-

This was my impression too. Which is why, while I got rather intrigued by the Vindice Arcobaleno and he was definitely the best part of the chapter, I also got kind of worried.
-
Too lazy to read the chapter again but was it said the baby was an Arcobaleno? I mean clear isn't in the rainbow :/
My prediction is that he was the original baby fighting thing and somehow created the others who were then dubbed Arcobaleno.
-
Speaking of the arcobaleno wasn't yamamoto suppose to tell everyone else about their story? or was that something amano was too lazy to write out in the manga an used the anime as a scapegoat?
-
If you have time, GM, go download the Arcobaleno Arc. It's an Anime Filler arc that gives a little more back story on the Arcobaleno, and also reveals that Reborn is not his real name, but an alias he took after becoming an Arcobaleno. His real name is never given; he's just referred to as "Mr. Hitman".

This and iirc Bianchi said she was going to talk to Gokudera after the initial invasion to get Shouichi. Neither happened afterward because of the plot-extending "lolz, those weren't the REAL Six Funeral Wreaths" asspull/twist launched them into a Varia miniarc followed by training for Choice…

I don't download my anime I stream it. An it will be awhile before I even begin to watch that, I barely watch the series that I have been following. Once one of my more completed series ends than I may pick that up and watch it.

I completely forgot about her even wanting to do that.

Spoiler
! Mukuro's VG are earrings and Cambio Forma is some kinda a rod

If that's it that was a really fast final battle for the arc. It made Spade look quite underwhelming given his hype, but was still pretty good otherwise.
Perhaps this was short and Enma was lame because this is directly moving into Vindice? That or Spade will be up next chapter with the typical genjutsu not dead crap, but it was pretty clear he was disguised as Chrome and thus impaled. Or damn Byakuran since he did show up to heal Yamamoto… I'm still trying to figure out why she bothered to have Byakuran involved there...
-
This chapter reminded me why I still read this series: Rukudo Mukuro. The most badass character in the series imo, and he never disappoints in his fights. I loved the part where he made himself giant and said he would crush Damon's mind. His Vongola Gear weapon is also amazing; activating all 6 paths at once, multiplying them, creating an endless void (did anyone else think of Pride from FMA?), and can pierce multiple enemies at once… Yeah, I don't think anyone is beating him now, lol. He easily got the best weapon out of all of them. Also, I love that he stayed true to his character. He's an evil bastard, so he shouldn't react at all to killing his own people, especially when he knows for sure they're illusions.
And yes Damon Spade had a pretty quick defeat despite the buildup, but I think it was intended this way. It speaks for how powerful Mukuro is, especially with the Vongola Gear. Plus the fight was really good so no complaints there. So yeah, I really liked this chapter. We probably won't get one this good for a long time.
Edit: Also, I knew he would be able to activate his gear with little to no effort, lol
-
Mukuro being Mukuro.
All is well with the world.
I doubt Spade will be down with just this though.
-
good chapter if theres one thing Reborn does well its illusions kishimoto and kubo should take notes.
-
Really no surprise here with D.Spade and Mukuro. Vinidice arc is definitely confirmed now.
! Julie is fine
Chrome is fine…:getlost:
Mukuro is inside the owl and D.Spade has his body in Vinidice.
-
Hey can I ask something. Is it possible to read the Varia arc of Reborn without reading anything else of the series and still understand what's going on? Because I'm thinking about only reading that arc, because I've heard that arc is actually good. Please explain.

Is better if you read it from the begining, for know the characters and their personality.
But if its too boring for you, at least you should start in Mokuro Arc, chapter 62. Is the first action arc. Varia arc is after this.
-
Unfortunately you can't start at the Mukuro Arc then you can IMO read up to when Tsuna receives
! his Version Vongola Ring gloves then skip to when
! Varia reappears in the future then skip all the way to the end of the Future arc. If you understand how the
! dying will flames in the future and pokemon then you'll be fine. -

Is it me? Or the body of Rukudo Mukuro has four eyes? Anyway, good chapter, I love the fact that even Reborn find the end of the arc anticlimatic.
-
I like owl Mukuro.
! Hmm… wonder if Daemon wrecking stuff in Vindice will affect the guardians who were dragged there after losing.
-
Just glad this arc is about finished. I could see Reborn ending if Amano explains the Arcobaleno while in Vindice.
-
I think it deserves at least two more arcs. Lambo new cambio forma deserves more screen time!
-
Nice to see Daemon wasn't quite down. Heh, Reborn said exactly what the audience was feeling about that fight. Not a bad twist, but the chapter kind of felt slow until Mukuro spoke up in Mukurou. And am I the only one who loled at the Aizen-ish line at the end about everything being "in the palm of his hand"?
-
Yeah it's like she's blatantly saying Daemon is Reborn's Aizen. Just reading this chap anyone could foresee the fight wasn't over lol.
-
Wow. Mukuro kicked his ass that easily, did he. and now he's got what he wanted, good, now we can hurry on towards the end of this series.
Mukuro is one of my least favorite characters in this series, so I'm just glad we didn't have to sit through a couple chapters of them dueling illusions.
-
I think it deserves at least two more arcs. Lambo new cambio forma deserves more screen time!
Don't speak too soon, who knows if there will be another up grade since every arc the group has been getting an upgrade.
-
So at the start of the chapter it really was Daemon thanking Mukuro; it still speaks for Mukuro's power that he could tell that. I don't think Daemon entirely threw the fight, but he certainly wasn't going all out. I think his goal was to take out Mukuro and take his body, but he could only accomplish one. Which if you think about it, we should've seen this coming, since he told Chrome his goal was to take Mukuro's body.
Anyway, I thought this chapter was pretty good. I liked the twist they threw in there, and I'm interested to see where this series goes now. I'm still sure the next arc will be a Vindice Prison arc, but the only change to my original theory is that Daemon will be in control now. I knew Julie and Enma would be with them though.
-
it'd be nice to see what Julie can do.
