4-5 years could mean 4 year and 1 month, which would be in perfect agreement with what he said in September 2019.
I don't think it's gonna end so soon, but people are quick to joke about Oda's estimations, when in fact he's been pretty consistent most of the times.
Reminder that everything from Saboady to Shanks ending the battle at Marineford lasted only 84 chapters. Each arc was about 30 chapters or less during the Summit War. So there is a precedent for a fast-paced One Piece.
I agree that 4 years seems a bit too short, but I don't think it wont be much longer than that. After Wano we are going to enter a non-stop succession of “end game” arcs leading to the finale, similar to the Summit War.
I'm all for first half being Red Hot Chilli Peppers and second half to be some Queen. Most likely Killer Queen. Either way. I know we won't be disappointed

It's not only what Pitou did to Kite. Gon got really mad when Pitou ask him to wait.
He has a problem with Pitou trying to save somebody, after doing what he did to Kite. He keeps saying "It isn't fair".
I think that is what got him crazy.

Other than that, we don't know anything yet.
It's not like there has to be more explanation. Komatsu was free to leave the Bishokukai headquarters anyway.

From any other author, a chapter like this would be surprising in a disappointing way.
But after 4 years reading Toriko, one knows what to expect from this manga.
Shimabukuro never lets the manga become too serious. That puts a limit on the scope and depth of the story, but allows amusing twists like this one.
The fact that they came back with new hairstyle, only to cut it back and return to the former design, is a clear example of this.
