No, you go to the lady in the middle, right next to the Union Room lady.
whoops sorry.
Here I come, had to set on the WFC again.
-
:P it becomes easy, I have trained 6 now pretty fast, get the eggmoves you want, if you are having trouble with the natures use an everstone, I have an adamant/jolly/timid Ditto so it helps.
Took me 3/4 eggs to get a timid compoundeyes one.
Lucky you. I hated about 20 eggs. Have about 6 Timid ones. None with Compound Eyes. All of the non-Timid ones did have it tho -_-
-
Dang, I keep going to trade at the screen, but it go through.
-
Seems it wont connect.
Went to connect, then selected yes, got the "Communicating with." for about 15 sec, then it just stops.
-
Oy vey.
Eh we'll try again later. Right now, I have a Tympole to catch.

Im on now Cyan if you want help say.
-
Eh, I'm too far in Chargestone Cave to turn back now.
Maybe sometime tomorrow.
-
after 4 hours. Finally got me my Timid Compoundeyes Joltik. <3

Gratz :D .
I'm watching some triple battles on the Wifi center right now, saw two pretty nice.
-
Not much for me to say for the moment. I went back to do the Desert Resort and finally crossed over into Jer…er, the city with Clay. The problem is I'm utterly clueless on my 5th Pokemon because the team I have pretty much covers a lot of the types I've been fighting so far. I'm sort of tossing a coin between an Electric type or an Ice type...I'm actually thinking of giving the Ice Cream Pokemon a lick when I get into the Freezing Container.

Just pick up and use whatever catches your eye, and go for pure appearance over practicality, you can always change it out later.
Also, if something is kicking your butt, give it a try as a critter. A move you hate might be a move you love once you have it.
-
Nearing end of Chargestone. Finally got a Tynamo.
Dewott Lv. 32
Pansear Lv. 30 (Will probably replace with a better Fire-type as it comes)
Gurdurr (Valentine) Lv. 31
Krokodile (Cairodile) Lv. 31
Ferrowseed (Wekapipo) Lv. 28
Tynamo (Tesla) Lv. 27
@Tokoro:finally crossed over into Jer…er, the city with Clay.
New Joisey: We Got Cowboys

Samurott (Revolver) lvl 37
Pansear (Akainu) lvl 36
Gurdurr (Hacksaw) lvl 36
Unfezant (Gutter Rat) lvl 34
Zoroark (Rikimaru) lvl 34
Joltik (Shocker) lvl 29I also have my Zebstrika lvl 28 and a Solosis lvl 28 as backups.
-
BW just came out here today and reading about how much fun you're all having is really tempting me to go out and get myself a copy.
-
just got back from picking up pokemon white! playing it right now.
I love that feeling of starting a new generation pokemon game for the first time, knowing little to nothing going in. I instantly feel 8 or 9 years old again, opening Red a few days before christmas (because I begged and begged), the rest of the world falling away into the distance around me.
edit: omfg I can't name my character Bitch? I always name myself Bitch. what the hell am I gonna call myself now?

You also can't name the cats "Pussy", I discovered. I'd imagine most swear words are blocked this time around, what with the worldwide trading and all.
Seems kinda pointless what with b1tch and all.
-
B1tch just doesn't feel the same, though. Ugh.
-
Pokemon world New Jersey is far more pleasant than real New Jersey.
-

I named my Munna Dreamfart so they're not too strict on profanity. Only the real bad stuff ^__-
-
Hm, it seems that Route 4 roughly corresponds to Ground Zero. Classy.
On a lighter note, it is amusing to see numerous NPCs with Japanese names and stereotypical Japanese salarymen and office ladies in a region based off of New York.
-
well decided i want to get this new game
would love some input on which version you prefer
i hear the switching battle mode is cooler than the triple battle. which is better the white forest or the black city? i hate having to chose which version to get
FYI my last version i bought was pearl, if that affects which one should be chosen
-
I walked into Cynthia's Villa and I then realized she would challenge me to a battle. My heart started beating fast as hell. Then they gave me a option if I could challenge her and quickly hit the No button.
-

I actually decided to go with Vanillite. The bad news was that I nearly screwed up because I didn't realize that the nearby Deerlings were going to have all those Fighting moves. But the good news: I was able to train it to be part of my "Clay-destroying team". (the easiest gym in the game shocking: heck even his Excadrill meant nothing once I activated my Palpitoad's Rain Dance and started Bubblebeam-ing it) Have a few ideas for #6 but I want to wait and see what else is out there.
-
I beat Burgh and Elesa today (Finished Elesa with my Dewott. Screw type disadvantages.)
Tried rushing to Chargestone Cave in order to get the Tynamo that my party's empty sixth slot has been yearning for just to find that it's covered in electric bug spiderwebs and I can't get through. :pouty:
Looks like I'll have to go back to….Jersey...and beat Clay before I can go to Chargestone.
-
Currently climbing the
Leaning Tower of JerseyCelestic Tower.Fuckin' psychic types, how do they work.
-
Easiest Gym is 6th. Sweeped so Hard.
-
Had time waiting for my friend to get out of class so i massacred Skyla's Pokemon with Shocker the Galvantula. Didn't get hit once and now the Joltik/Galvantula is my favorite electric evolution. Also beat Cheren's loser ass again and now I am on my way through Twist Mountain.
current lvls:
Samurott (Revolver) lvl 41
Galvantula (Shocker) lvl 40
Gurdurr (Hacksaw) lvl 38
Pansear (Akainu) lvL 38
Unfezant (Gutter Rat) lvl 37
Zoroark (Rikimaru) lvl 37 -
Oh right. Friend code thing. I'm not exactly going to ever be on except for scheduled trades, and I have a local friend with Black already, but whatever. Here's mine.
Name: Robby FC: 1334 7041 6643
@Cyan:
Fuckin' psychic types, how do they work.
They destroy fighting and poison types, and are weak to bug, dark and ghost.
In generation 1 a glitch in the programming made them immune to ghosts, instead of weak to them.
-
Beat Aunt Jemima today, and added a Blitzle and Sawk to my team.
-

Psychic was fuckin' hax back in gen 1.
Anyway, got the Trio Badge and now have a full 6 pokemon on my team.
Oh, and my FC is 2837-9517-5695. Name: RUSSELL
-
Spent five hours trying to catch a Gothita with a Modest nature. I'm working towards my ~final~ team right now and she was going to be on it, especially since she's one of my favorite pokemon in this generation.
I actually care about natures on my final, ~real~ team, so I want her to have a good one for postgame.
But, like I said, I've spent five hours trying to get a Gothita with a modest nature and it's not working out at all. I'm sure it'll be really rewarding and nice feeling when I get one, but damn my luck to hell.
My favorite Pokemon of all this gen is Mienshao, I think. Lilligant is great too, though I have Black version. Luckily I was able to get her prevo from an NPC by trading cottonee.
They are my three biggies I think. Surprisingly, I have enough favorites to make up not only a final six person team, but make it type diverse. I'm real excited about that.
-
Spent 3 hours trying to get an adamant Blitzle on route 3.
Didn't get an adamant one…. but a shiny sassy Blitzle appeared instead. A nice compromise if I say so myself.
Haven't found a shiny since FireRed. -
So i got my 3rd badge but im going with an actual team, instead of getting 1 pokemon and using him to win the game with like a lvl of 90 by the end but like i was saying.
Tympol feels useless because his health and D suck.
Sawk is cool but i dont know how good he is
Then theres Pignite.Suggestions for a new water pokemon? Plus a really good attack pokemon on the road to gym leader 4?
-
Sawk has got to be my favorite fighting type now. Beat Clay with a karate chop, and two counters.
-
Damn. Loving this new transfer method.
Entire boxes of Heart Gold and Platinum in about 30 mins.
And a huge amount of my dex done now
-
I have a Tympole (Well, it's a Palpitoad now..) and I thought he's great. Probably my best Pokemon at the moment. Though he is the highest leveled one ^^
-
Cleared out the Desert Resort, now to go on to Nimbasa City. That name keeps messing with me because it sounds African, and Unova is certainly not Africa.
Pignite (25)
Tranquill (23)
Blitzle (23)
Sandile (24)
Scraggy (23)
Tirtouga (25) -
So, I'm in front of the third Gym in Castelia City.
My Team so far
Purrloin (NAMICAT) lv. 17
Pansage lv. 21
Pignite lv. 23
Tympole lv. 20
Pidove (NIA) lv. 20
Patrat Lv. 14 (not training it)I guess I should train some more…
-
I both love and hate Chargestone Cave. The place is beautiful…but it has so many Pokemon that like to be resistant to the team I want to make, particularly Vanillite. But I did catch a Joltik (nicknamed it "Spoon"...had to) and want to train it once I get out of that cave.
-
When do you get a fishing rod? I just beat Burgh and I'm in the Desert but I feel like I should have access to a fishing rod at this point.
(I totally missed the first rod in SoulSilver and stumbled onto the "Good rod" as my first one, I'm paranoid I'm going to do that again)
-
I got my rod post game from someone familiar
I don't believe there's one prior
-
Apparently all the fishing spots are loaded with old game critters, and not a whole lot of new fish types, so that might be why they don't give you access to a rod for a long time.
-
@RobbyBevard:

Yeah Handsome/Looker gives it to you after the league, its a good thing though, we always have shitload of water pokemons specially a bunch of fishes, its good that this time they focused on other less populated types, like Steel/Electric/Dark/Fire.
-
Ok, thanks I can stop stressing it and focus on the ones I got ^_^
Oh what the hell, here's my current team:
Scraggy (BEAVIS) female lvl.23
Swadloon (CLOTHESBUG) male lvl.24
Simipour (POMPADOR) male lvl.23
Woobat (BATMITE) male lvl.22
Blitzle (ZEBRAZAPP) male lvl.22
Roggenrola (AGGROKRAGG)male lvl.23
I'm so glad I traded out SMUGLEAF for CLOTHESBUG, tho my Blitzle still feels like it's defense is putrid.
-
Saw this big black and white display at target, and impulsively bought it, despite being disconnected from the series for quite a while. Been having a blast so far, and my party consists of all the guys I think look cool.
Servine 31
Krokorok 30
Tirtouga 29
Victini 30 (Didn't really want a legendary in my party, but I wanted a fire type and wasn't a fan of the red beach ball guy. And this one's pretty cool so far.)
Tirtouga 29
Herdier 29 (Mustache dog? Yes!)
Emolga 28 I had the zebra, but I dropped him the second this guy appeared. -
tho my Blitzle still feels like it's defense is putrid.
Blitzle's/Zebstrika's defense is putrid, which is why I switched mine out for Tynamo.
-
I got my White on Wednesday. I'm loving this game so far, especially because of the little details. The fast-paced battle style is great, as is the animations for Pokemon: they even close their eyes when they are asleep!
I'm at Mistralton City at the moment, and my team is currently:
Dewott (Lutra) lv. 33
Zebstrika (Equaga) lv. 33
Lilligant (Lilia) lv. 33
Zoroark (Zerda) lv. 32
Duosion (Merula) lv. 33
(Heh, I never realized that all my nicknames ended with 'a' before I typed them here. :P)I've been pretty happy with my team so far. I didn't know that Zoroark gets Dark Pulse only through breeding, so at the moment I'm stuck with it having only fysical attacks (and a nature that lowers Attack) before I get good TM's. Zebstrika isn't as frail as before after it evolved, so I'm fine with that too.
-
It took about three tries, but I finally beat Elesa. That was not pretty; my team was horribly ill-equiped to fight her, with 2/3rds of it having weaknesses to Flying and Electric for her to exploit. Sandile was the MVP in the clutch. I'm surprised Sand Tomb did as much damage as it did to her Zebstrika.
On to New Jersey.
-
A lot of people seem to have problems against Elesa, I didn't find her tough at all, although I was kinda lucky…
! I caught a Dweeble and taught it Stealth Rock which was the move move I used in the gym battle, I had no idea that she used Volt Switch all the time so it did some extra damage to her Pokes every time she used the move. Also Purrlion knew pursuit which had it's attack power doubled.
I can see why people do have trouble against her.
