Twas a fun chapter. More explanations of Fishmen/Merfolk genetics (and it makes sense) and some great lines. Funny how Neptune figured out what Luffy did but everyone just laughed it off.

I was right that the "Sunny tree Eve" is responsible for that forest, but iam not sure if he rly spreads in there…for that we have to wait 1-2 more chapters.
Hodi being once a soldier for the king shows that he tried to go the right way but somehow couldn`t bear anymore the pain..which makes him for me a villain with more heart than previous villains who acted just because of selfish or evil thoughts.

Other than that, a decent set-up chapter. Like this pace, reminds me of sabaody.

Zoro just keeps kicking everyone's asses. I don't think the Hodi pirates would even stand a chance against Zoro on land. Since, Oda has shown us that there is a way to fight underwater.

I know, but maybe he has a different special talent that's more important. Brook and Zoro are both swordsmen too.

I always thought Luffy would be the one to fight Hodi, but I'd love it if Zoro ended up fighting Hodi. I hope there's some bigger plot going on above Hodi and Decken's plan. A lot of people have been theorizing about that, right? That there's some bigger villain orchestrating a much larger-scale plot.

Another one stuff pack with information, though I do wonder if Oda is rushing through this long-awaited period of the story. Probably the scene with Franky and Den felt like the best part of the chapter, though the approach of Vander Decken and Hodi looked awesome as well.

It'd be crazy if Zoro fought Hodi then Hyouzou and Luffy fought on par with Big Mom until they're interrupted by Doflamingo. And Big Mom would destroy Doflamingo
(but he manages to flee)
I would really love that kind of thing. A Younkou beating the main villain of the arc, instead of Luffy. Luffy would beat Decken and Caribou, I'd be ok with this if Decken is REALLY strong. -

Loving the arc but I'm wondering if it is going to be a short arc. I mean it looks like the main battles are shaping up already and I cant see how Hodi or VDD will drag the fights out for long. Hope there is a lot more to the story
