Oh, right. Okay, then Brain told him, yeah.
Fairy Taint Discussion II
-
-
It's not too far-fetched to think Brain clued him in. I mean, they seem to know all that happened with Jellal in that arc.
-
Midnight's magic in the anime didn't make any sense at all now I think of it.
How did he know about Rob and Simon to create illusions of them?Either, like others said, Brain told him, or he just knew Rob and Simon from the revolt. If I recall correctly, All of Oracion Seis minus Brain also worked on the ToP.

@SSM:
Fuck it.
Where is Gerard?
Smiling to himself, musing about how he did the right thing by letting himself get arrested while sitting is some hell hole the new Council threw him.
Jose can be in the cell next to him and the OS can be in the cells across from him and they can all have magnificent arguments over stuff that has no relevance at all to their situation.
That talking staff thing that got wasted almost as soon as it appeared sentient, I wonder if it was one of Zeref's creations?
Typing of Zeref, I really hope he doesn't become the next Gerard, but instead wreaks some serious chaos next chapter. But if he does become the next Gerard then he can have the other cell next to him.
-
@SSM:
Fuck it.
Where is Gerard?
He went to jail. He went directly to jail. He cannot pass GO. He cannot collect $200.
-
@Kaba:

That's right. He is currently playing "grab the soap" with his attractive male prisonmates.
Until the next big bad comes in to break him out.

Unfortunately, there's no way Mashima would ever let something so unfortunate befall his precious Gerard / Sieg Hart.

Gerard will die after natsu and lucy travel back in time with him and Gerard has to stay behind in order for them to return to the present (just like in RAVE)

Ya know, I could have made a joke of that.
If only you didn't post the last part :sad:
-
@No:
Ya know, I could have made a joke of that.
Jellal will die.
But his soul will chose to go back in time, to the time when he was happiest, and he will be
! every character in the series
-
Was a great chapter … especialy the ending with Zeref getting mad.. lets see if he show us some action
-
I see nothing wrong with the cover page. Nothing sexual at all.
-
This series is so so terrible. What an awful climax.
-
@Thousand:
This series is so so terrible. What an awful climax.
This.
This.
Wow.
Awful.
-
i loved the first half of the chapter, mainly for angry zeref.
the speech near the end was too drawn out for me to not skip some of it.
but wow, the ending…. dreadful.
after all the hype and all the "i'm angry" statements, he's knocked down just like that? and offscreen?fuck you mashima. do you realise how many times you ruin your own work?
-
ARGH. The main site is down and now this? Whyyy did i think Zeref was going to be an ally?
-
A very short chapter, wendy not being able to heal natsu, kinda reminded me of bleachh when orihime couldn't heal ichigo due to hallow powers.
so it seems like the old man is alive and kicking, i didn't think he would die from this arch, but i do see him dying, when hiro focuses more on ivan.
i was kinda surprise there seeing zeref down like that, but since his still in his slumber state, i guess is no big deal.
i wonder what role hiro will have zeref play exactly, from what i can see GH will accomplishe there goal and revive him, then with zeref being evil and all that, will go wild destroy anyhting his path, then natsu will come with his huge power up for the win.
-
So this chapter confirms it; The leader of Grimoire Heart isn't Hades.
It's actually
! Asakura Hao
!
! Except Shaman King did it better… -
This chapter was utterly pointless and went nowhere.
-
Better than last week's chapter. I'm not sure about the motivations behind the great scheme though… It seems like standard reason for Zeref to rule. Heck, maybe a standard reason for the Seven Kin and Hades to bother waking him up.
I wonder what's Ul's story. She seems to like swearing loyalty.
That said, no opinon hogging for me this week. I'm tired.
-
First half shows Ul getting scared shitless in front of an angry Zeref, and in the other half the latter gets owned offscreen.
Wut.
-
What the fuck?
Zeref: Don't fuck with me! I'm ANGRY!!!
Ultear: OH NOES!!!! :cwy:
Announcer: We interrupt this fight to annoy you, and make things generally more irritating. Now, we return to our regularly scheduled fight in progress.
Zeref: lying on the ground How could I lose? I was….angry! :cwy:
Ultear: YAAAAYYY!!!! I GOT ZEREF!!!
Zeref added to Pokedex
-
That cover page made me laugh the most I have in awhile at something in Fairy Tail.
-
I just noticed that… and I notice lots of things.
-
That cover page made me laugh the most I have in awhile at something in Fairy Tail.
How funny is this cover.
The longer I look at it, the more comes to mind.
I am clearly 12.
-
Yeah, alright chapter. Don't mind Ultear owning Zeref that much.
What the hell is Rustyrose's power ? -
Apparently a lot of people here have not read rave cause this arc is going exactly how the blue guardian arc went and No Maam would know what i'm talking about.
I enjoyed the chapter. Honestly I don't care for Ul or Ur so her fight getting skipped made me happy. We got to see Elfman and Evergreen in action against Rusty Rose. That to me was more entertaining.
-
Mehish chapter .
Edit: actualy he doesn't. Would you mind pointing out the analogy ?
-
I see nothing wrong with the cover page. Nothing sexual at all.
-
This chapter was the absolute worst in the entire series and anyone who doesn't see it is an illiterate goon.
-
Shutup .
-
@Thousand:

Oh come on. There have been a ton of chapters worse than this.
I enjoyed the Elfman and Evergreen part quite a bit.
-
This cover reveals nothing about Natsu compaired to the amounts of info it reveals about Lucy.
And hey, isn't this that one "Humiliate your main villain off screen" trope.
@Thousand:
This chapter was the absolute worst in the entire series and anyone who doesn't see it is an illiterate goon.
No Gello - no worst award.
-
I stil say we should pick something from the OS or Edoras arcs for that.
Also, Natsu is getting powered up again.
…..
Fuck you Hiro. Fuck you and all your ancestors to the twentieth decree !
-
Oh come on. There have been a ton of chapters worse than this.
That's…not exactly a compliment to the series.
I enjoyed the Elfman and Evergreen part quite a bit.
Any possible good thing this chapter had was completely offset by its terrible, terrible climax.
I mean random, stupid event that makes no sense and obliterates any sort of rhyme or reason to the established rules of the series? Fairy Tail has officially reached Bleach level.
No Gello - no worst award.
As if Zeref isn't his substitute.
-
@Thousand:
Fairy Tail has officially reached Bleach level.
Ni it hasn't. Fairy Tail still has backgrounds.
-
Man, this chapter made everything get stupid.
How could Zeref lose? Doesn't him spam that black wave thing that kills everything?
And it's the cliche "the weaklings that doesn't use/are insert something will all die!". But we don't even know how many people can use magic in the world.
I just hope things will get better. -
@Thousand:
This chapter was the absolute worst in the entire series and anyone who doesn't see it is an illiterate goon.
Instead of just making a statement, why don't you elaborate a bit about it and tell us why you think that?
Personally, I think it was fine. People who appear intimidating or try to act intimidating can be pushovers when actually confronted. He's not fully awakened, so most of his powers are sealed. The "Death Preying" ability also seems to be randomly triggered, not controlled. Beyond that, he hasn't shown any exceptional abilities in his dormant state.
We've already seen Ultear fight as Zalty. Her Arc of Time magic is incredibly powerful, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that she beat him, at least for now.
Nothing much to say about the first part with Wendy and Makarov's interaction. Makarov hinted he knew that Zeref was on the island all along, which may tie into the "dark secret" that Fairy Tail has. His lack of concern for himself despite the circumstances is also what would be expected of him.
As for Rustyrose vs. the E pair, I don't see a problem with it. He's a summoner. There's usually one in every arc. Glad to see someone rather than Lucy fighting them for a change. And to think he'd be a pushover like Angel or Lucy without their summons is kinda silly. I didn't doubt for a minute he had some backup ability.
So… yeah. The chapter was fine.
-
At first I didn't get what all the fuss was about the cover page so took another closer look then I looool'd as for the chapter it wasn't has bad as some make it to be and it's not bleach level either.
-
I said it last week. Mashima. Ball. Dropping. Or shark jumping. I don't know when to apply one or the other. So let's just say he did both things.
Magic World King. OMG. I hope there's more to it than this abismaly cliched evil guy reason to find Zeref, or else this is epicaly retarded.
And LOL at "I'm aaaaangry!!!!", "Oh no, he's angry, I'm about to shit myself. . ." 10 panels later, "I don't give a fuck about your anger, I'm stronger than you!". Then why on earth did you get so fucking scared shitless in the first place?????
-
This was Cait Shelter levels of stupid.
Atrocious, atrocious climax to an altogether blah leaning on awful chapter. Maybe not the worst chapter in the series, but surely a contender. No, it doesn't get any good will for Zeref making angry faces in the beginning. No, it doesn't get any points for Evergreen and Elfman getting taken out like doofs, surprising no one. It loses points for one of the most generic and blandest grand reveal speeches in the history of Fairy Tail, maybe even in the history of shounen: the staple of Mashima's writing.
Come on guys. "A WORLD OF ENDLESS MAGIC. ALL THE WEAKLINGS WILL DIE. ALL THANKS TO ZEREF" this shit is ZERO "HAHAHA REDUCE EVERYTHING TO ZERO" level. Maybe your brain glossed over it because you were hastening through it, trying to speed away from Mashima's hand-fisted Evil Villain Plot 101 writing, but mother have mercy it was BAD. and then zeref–
stop compromising, stop lowering your expectations to pat what is terrible on the back and tell it "nice try", dis chapter was a steaming pile.
Fire Fist I don't think you even READ this series.
-
I enjoyed the Elfman and Evergreen part quite a bit.
That was the best part of the whole chapter. I love how they fight like an old married couple, lol.

Yeah, this chapter was fine. We knew the Grimore Heart's goal was to put the world in darkness, so this isn't off in the slightest. And I'm not sure what could possibly qualify as him getting a powerup. Unless they reveal Natsu's a saiyan and gets stronger after every battle, I don't see how him getting healed will make him stronger.
I will admit though, if they don't explain how Ultear took down Zeref I'll be confused and disappointed. Even him in his "sleeping mode" shouldn't have fallen as easily as it looks.
-
Full pic
you guys were saying ?
-
So why is Zeref looks like a generic 20 years old? And why is he getting pwned so easily?
-
I will admit though, if they don't explain how Ultear took down Zeref I'll be confused and disappointed. Even him in his "sleeping mode" shouldn't have fallen as easily as it looks.
Well, Ultear has already shown exceptional fighting ability as Zalty. Plus, even when she was much younger, she was able to use powerful magic (her impersonation of Zeref that fooled Jellal). It was already hinted she's Hades' second-in-command from the beginning (and she confirmed that statement in this chapter), so it's no surprise that she could best a "sealed-state" Mage.
Honestly, Ultear has been around since Chapter 1. She and Jellal were the first people even shown in the manga. She's on the first page, and her Arc of Time is even shown on the first page. Even Mashima's not dumb enough to make the first person he introduces just become some crappy fodder.

Answer me, Fire Fist.
Just this.
Just what was acceptable about the reveal of Grimoire Heart's goal via reviving Zeref. That speech. What did it stir up in you?
I need proof that you are reading the same manga I am, and not just reading a summary of events off a wiki or something. I need to understand your reasoning.

Illiterate goon no.1

I didn't think that that generic evil plot speech was bad. I didn't think it was good either. It was nothing. Pure cliche tripe that I barely took any notice of. Now super mega evil Zeref being taken out off-screen by some fangirl who was pissing her pants a couple of minutes ago, that's extreme terrible of a whole other level.
-
I already mentioned the goal of the GH being standard(cliche in other words), but I can't see myself pulling hair going apeshit over it. Zeref in his current state being a pushover is no big deal for me either. We already seen the pussy fight.
