Not really considering (I assume) Toei is already pushing the limitations of what they can get away with. To be honest I could care less whether or not WB gets a quarter of his face punched off or not, thats not what the story is about. Seriously, the overall story doesn't lose a damn thing with that scene omitted. Sure it was cool (one of my favorite moments in the war) but the only thing it contributed narrative wise was to underline how monstrously fierce and powerful WB is, and by that point in the story it had been well established.
So yeah, not that big a deal…
