This chapter is hilarious, explain a lot of things, show a bit how the world is without Whitebeard (the fact that Big Mom has a flag on FI to replace WB), and just makes us hope for more. -

ahhh it feels so good to have a chapter again.
finally finding out more about fishmen/mermen and the ladies of their species was extremely nice and long overdue. really puts them into perspective now and ends a handful of theories.

So far we have 2 major threats. NFP boss and Van der Decken… Zoro will fight the octo swordsmen and I doubt Luffy will fight both captains

This is the first time in a long time I didn't get to read the spoilers before the chapter came out, feels strange
Nice chapter overall, and i love the ending, tho we will probably have to wait a long time before w see how it will actually happen :)
And heh, Zoro has a strong opponent, will probably turn out that the octopus man will be surprised how Zoro can still stand / fight after being poisoned but oh well it can't all be a unpredictable...

Love how we got news of a Yonkou, and now we know why FI isn't as chaotic as eveyone thought.

Yup–Luffy's hat is not ripped, for one thing, and the piece of her vision that we saw was in shadow, not showing the face, so I don't think it's Luffy. Surely that's just Madam Shirley overreacting from panic (lol) and making assumptions about who it is.

Okay, Madame Shirley just kicks ass. A mako shark mermaid is all kinds of awesome.
I also love how Oda has already addressed one of the things I was wondering about, which was: How are there so many different types of fish hybrids among the Fishmen and Mermaids? I was thinking their respective populations would have to be pretty big in order to get lots of different combinations like octopus, shark, killi-fish, etc. Now we know. Fishmen/women and mermaids/men can have children together, producing both fishmen and mermaids at random.
Which is pretty cool. It's hard to beat Oda at world-building.

How would that explain the shadow figure then? Plus she has lived there for so long it's hard to believe she would mistake Van Der Decken.
