Being Lame on the plastic is seriouz bwissniss.

Too bad being bad at CvS2 doesn't mean shit for being bad at other games.
-
Let's not go there Gohn.
Anyways, here is faggotry incarnate:
If you somehow manage to beat this guy period, you get my full and unadulterated respect. He's my pick for hardest boss fight by far.
-
so who is he? what game?
-
Igniz, leader of NESTS. Boss of KoF 2k1
-
I guess I get your unadulterated respect, then. I've beaten Igniz many times before. But, I do play the shit outta KoF games. Igniz IS a fucking bitch, though. Particularly that Brutal God Project of his. Him being so tough is appropriate, considering the story behind him. Still, though, seeing him dash at me to hit me with the BGP freaks me out way more than seeing Akuma come at me with his Shun Goku Satsu ever has…
Looking back, one of the more ridiculous bosses in KoF history was Omega Rugal from 2002. Mainly because Eolith ramped up Rugal's damage levels. I guess they love him even more than main SNK does... They gave him a DM, wherein he grabs you, and upon grabging you, pummels the shit out of you, then hits you with a Genocide Cutter. This DM does TWO THIRDS OF YOUR EFFING LIFE! And since he's such a large-ass man, he's got long reach with that move. I'm not really complaining, as I've already stated that I love hard boss fights in fighters, just shocked. Apparently getting Norio Wakamoto as your VA for one game merits getting your damage values skyrocketed... The only game where I feel guilty for using Rugal, but having a team of Goenitz, Geese, and Rugal is just too godly not to love.
Love 2002...
Actually, the boss fights in NeoGeo Battle Coliseum definately deserve mention. Not only are their AIs some kind of witches, but they have ramped up attack and defense to compensate for the fact that it's 3 on 1 (common for SNK bosses), AND they HEAL! Throughout the WHOLE FIGHT!

The Golden Sun games had some pretty nasty bosses…Like dreadbeard in the first one, and that side-quest wizard in the second one. And to gain a spell that uses all the djinn, there is some knight you have to defeat who just pwns your ass. I haven't beat him, and have concluded that he is tougher than the final boss of the game.
-
Igniz isn't really a problem anymore for me at least (neither is Magaki or Mukai). The one that's given me and my husband both hell is Devilhand (Godhand) on hard mode. We lost a controller to my husband's frustration with him. :(

Star Magician is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeasy… Just break his balls until he has four of the kind that cast electricity, then have people like Felix and Isaac beat on the Wizard, and Jenna and such heal and protect you with Djinn. Then after about 10 turns, summon everything you have and beat his ass.
Dullahan is completely different without the turn 1 kill strategy. He's a beast.
-
One boss that really frustrated me was the golden robot from Skygunner. In order to break his armor, you have to fire six bombs into him and detonate them all at once by shooting them. But I almost always detonate at least five of them without the other one going off in time. What makes it worse is that I eventually run out of fuel and crash. The only way I can beat him is with sheer dumb luck.

Chain Yanker + 2 dodge canceled Yes M'am Kablam's = key to easy victory for every boss in Godhand.
-
That reminds me; I love the attack names in God Hand…
-
You better FEAR the BALL BUSTER yo.
On topic, Daimaou Lucifer in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocture is A FUCKING BITCH TO BEAT RAGNAGANGNRAGNAGNAGARGH seriously if you aren't near maxed out your attacks barely phaze him even if you lower his stats completely. He gets critical hits half of the time, can charm you entire party and most of his other attacks kicks your party's ass.
And to boot, if you die, you have to fight Kagutsuchi ALL OVER AGAIN ARGH.
-
Damn, I still gotta finish Godhand, stopped at the last boss. That game is so awesome. Gives me a comical HnK vibe when I play it. And Elvis is by far the best character in the game.
-
Concerning God Hand, I actually thought some of the enemy encounters were harder than the bosses.
Take this for instance, at the last level I got through a fight with some strong enemies. When I took them out I thought, " finally finished, time for the final bosses".
But as I walk up the stairs I arrive at a large courtyard, where eight of the strongest enemies in the game are waiting for me(also my most hated enemies in the game). After many continues I start to cheer as I finally take out the last guy, and suddenly a trident demon pops out of him and kills me in one hit.Thats probably the only time I have taken my frustrations out on the furniture, due to a game.
Edit: By the way, I was playing on normal. I can't even think how insane it is on hard. Moral of the story, God Hand is hard shit.
-
I'd say those hidden bosses in Wild ARMs 4 were pretty nasty. They're all like Level 90 and shit and my party dies in a couple of turns with every one I tried to face.
The weirdest of them were the magazines. I didn't get that. Why the hell do a bunch of magazines know some of the best magic in the game and constantly spam it? I think I've only been able to kill 3 of those bastards max (There's 12 of them). They're all around Level 75 too.
-
the one level that stands out in any RPG for me wouldn't even be a boss
Dorter Trade City, FFT
1st time playing the game, jesus that level had fun raping you, and that one Chocobo battle if you aren't prepared
-
I've always thought the final bosses in Fire Emblem were pretty tought. Thus far, after playing all four games released in America, I think Ashera is the hardest (from Radiant Dawn).
-

These bosses, are they the ones who pop up in ordinary random battles, fool you with unimpressve apperances, and proceeds to vanquish your sorry as or rob you of all your money if you tryto escape? They didn't seem like bosses, but nevertheless sent my jaw to the floor with sheer unfairness.
-
Not really, they have really impressive appearances and make you scream "HOLY SHIT" because they have like 3 turns to burn your sorry ass before you even move. They're sealed (except for the Fish and the Magazines) so you'll know if you're fighting them. And you can't escape either.
And I got confirmation, one of them is level 90 (and what's even worse it has an attack that brings all party members to 1 HP. Fffffffff-) Some others give you misery and the Agony Affect which is possibly as annoying as the Malboros in Final Fantasy. Also, found the Magazine bastard on Gamefaqs. It's called "Adult Magazine," you face about 12 of them, they are all Level 75, and magic attacks consist of Graviton, Dispel, High Blast, and Quicken (WHAT THE EFFING HELL. As if 12 of them going normally wasn't enough.) Not to mention it's weaknesses consist of NOTHING.
-
Fire Leo in Viewtiful Joe 1 when I first got the game. Was impossible to beat when I first got it. Then I met Evil King Blue at the end of the game years after…
Black Pierrot from the arcade game Magical Drop 3. Not really a boss, more a secret opponent, but you were literally made to lose if you managed to fight him.
-
Fire Leo was only a pain when you played the game on the highest difficulty.
-
Most of the bosses in Actraiser 2 - I managed to beat Gluttony using savestates, but I couldn't ever conquer the guy after him.
-
Death in the original Castlevania. I recently downloaded it for the VC, and damn, he's a lot harder than I remember him. It's not so much him, but the room before him, where 90313297432189246 Medusa Heads bombard you and you can never reach him at full health, assuring your destruction.
-
The Dragon in Vagrant Story. I swear, I had to do a 50 hit 1 dmg per hit chain twice to kill him.
Final Boss in Simpsons: The Arcade Game. Doing it solo was a bitch.
Final Boss in Ninja Gaiden/Black/Sigma. The boss himself wasn't so hard, it was a bitch if you weren't prepared. There's no place to buy potions or healing devices between this boss fight and the previous boss fight. Of course, I didn't have the ultimate wooden sword thing either, so that didn't help.
-
If you could get his pattern down you wouldn't have need for potions or Unlabored Flawless.
Anyway
Magma Dragoon from Megaman X4
-
@Sandai:
Magma Dragoon from Megaman X4
Especially as Zero when you have to get up close to attack him.
-
i.e. that's who I'm playing as =P.
-
Me, too.
I have MegaMan X Collection on the 'Cube, and I'm still on X4 as Zero. -
I copped out and downloaded the PS iso (the voice acting in the FMVs suck)
-
@Sandai:
the voice acting in the FMVs suck
Ugh, don't remind me. >Xl
ANyway, I thought Agni and Rudra in Devil May Cry 3 was pretty hard the first time I fought them.
-
Pete, the last Boss fight of Mickey Mania.
The game itself is quite hard at times, but still, Pete's far harder than the Mad Doctor from the second stage.
-
All the bosses in DMC 3 were hard the first time around I used to hate AR & Nevan with extreme predjudice.
-

YES! I was stuck there forever my first time. My friend kept telling me to go train and I would be like "No fuck you, I'll beat it some how."
So I went and trained and beat it.
Also, that secret boss at the clock tower in Peter Pan's world in Kingdom Hearts I was a bitch for me. :(
-
A number of the bosses in Megaman ZX Advent had quite a ball thrashing me the first time through. Argoyle and Ugoyle, for example, move around a LOT. Most of the time they're in unison, but, say, when one jumps while the other dashes, it threw me off. Argoyle's tri-rock bomb attack was incredibly hard to dodge when he's charging straight at you.
Pandora and Prometheus threw me for a loop a bit then they perform two different attacks at the same time. Timing is very key there. And it took me forever to figure out the incredibly easy was to dodge Prometheus's rotating flame pillar attack.
-
Also, that secret boss at the clock tower in Peter Pan's world in Kingdom Hearts I was a bitch for me. :(
On that note, I never could beat Kurt Zisa (secret boss in Agrabah). I was able to thrash Phantom, though.
-
Phantom is a gigantic wuss fest. Can't imagine how some people consider him difficult.
Kurt Zisa was an annoying little fucker, though. Of course, using Strike Raid whenever he did that shitty FLY THROUGH THE AIR LIKE A SAW BZZZZZZZZZ made him really easy too, but still.
-
I was playing Megaman VII the other day… the last fight with Dr. Wily. I can handle any of the other Classic Megaman bosses, just not that specific one.
Death in the original Castlevania. I recently downloaded it for the VC, and damn, he's a lot harder than I remember him. It's not so much him, but the room before him, where 90313297432189246 Medusa Heads bombard you and you can never reach him at full health, assuring your destruction.
Good god yes. Never beat him, unfortunately.
-
Any boss on I wanna Be The Guy
srsly, that game is hard as hell and the bosses are harder then any youve ever fought
-

whenever you have Medusa heads you have HUGE AMOUNTS OF THEM FROM ALL SIDES…ARGH
this fucker, when trying to steal his equip
-
I remember Death in Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow was a pain in my ass.
-
~BUMP~
I'm stuck trying to beat Wodan Ymir in SRT:OG2 on mission 19
Evil just simply Evil. -
For all the KOF fans out there… I'd have to say Magaki from XI was a pain in the ass. Guy wont stop throwing shit at ya >:O
-

agreed.
Decil May cry 4; Final Boss.
and then any boss in Ninja gaiden 2
-
Play NFL2K 5 for the PS2 on Legend difficulty and lest see if you can even gain 50 yards of total offense.
-
@Tommy:
On that note, I never could beat Kurt Zisa (secret boss in Agrabah). I was able to thrash Phantom, though.
Really? Kurt Risa wasn't that hard for me, and he was fun. I beat him in my 60's or 70's. At level 99 now, I still can't beat Phantom or Sephiroth, tho.
-
Freaking Cyborg Akuma from Marvel vs Capcom The guy's health bar is untouchable
-
BUMP
Beat Radac the other night in Killzone 2 fucking cheapass bastard.
-
One ofthe games, Mortal Combat, it was impossible to beat that shapteshifting one, almost to the end.
ganondorf (OOT) took about 10 tries. There was also a Kirby game, some kind of double enemies w/ a moon and a sun
