movie 2 was ok to me, i like 2 better than movie 3 i hate that mombambi character he is so annoying, apis must live in that island and marry him, fockers
-
In movie 2, I almost thought Bear king was Bartholomew Bear (it would have been pretty weird if that was the case), but quickly decided against it. And where did Akisu get that piece of metal to protect himself from the bullet?
-
I heard that the first one was boring, the second was awesome. Cosmic told me that she hated the third one. But, I heard that the fourth was the best.
-
^^That's pretty much how I see it. Though, I was majorly disappointed in movie 5. Whenever K-F sub that, I probably won't bother getting it.
-
I wonder if the sixth one will be any good? Not much will be changed, since the foruth one was the first to have Nico Robin.
-
It doesn't matter what members are in it. The movies generally focus on Luffy anyway, with the exception of 3 that focuses on Chopper and 5 that focuses on Zoro. From everything I've heard about movie 6, I think it'll be good. My initial feelings about all the movies have been accurate, for my own taste, at least. ;) A dude over at K-F who is living in Japan went to see it twice in the theater and gave a review and brief discription of it. You can read it if you go over there and look for the movie 6 thread.
-
I just saw the first movie. And I have to disagree with the opinions I've heard about it. It wasn't as boring as I heard it was, but it was still boring. There were a few enjoyable moments, though.
The plot was really predictable. I knew from the begining that they weren't going to find Woonan's treasure. The fight between Luffy and El-Drago was awesome, though. The plot wans't the best thing, but I like the music more.
-
I watched movies 2 and 4, but I would have to say that so far, 4 tops, mainly because of (if you don't want spoilers, don't read ahead!) Luffy vs. Gasparde and Shuraiya's revenge thing going on, I mean, I like the relationship between the two long-lost siblings. I admit, I was a bit disturbed by Adelle's voice. It sounded a little too…boyish.
Can anyone tell me where to download movie 5?
-
I wonder how many more there'll be? Since Zoro and Chopper got their own movies, I think they should do some for the other characters, too. I'd especially like to see ones about Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. I was completely weirded out at first by Movie 6's animation. But, after seeing My Neighbors The Yamadas, I can handle any type of art style.
-
oh please dear god let there be a an usopp centered movie…and a franky one later on:happy: i would die a happy man if we got a totaly usopp centered movie.
and in my opinon movie 2 was the best of them all its was also the only one that didnt make me wanna stab myself in the head outta boredom......
-
You didn't like movie 4, wolfwood? I liked it better than 2.
-
nah not really but okay but ill admit that movie 4 didnt make me wanna stab myself in the head
but it was really nothing special didnt like the villans and the totaly lack of usopp action lowered its rating it due to my usopp fanboyishness,
then it would have been nice to see some sanji and Zoro action too,i generaly find luffys fights in the movies to be pretty boring so that didnt really help this movie either since hes the only strawhat to get a fight.
and maybe its just me but the pacing was pretty bad too..
-

then it would have been nice to see some sanji and Zoro action tooWell, that's usually my complaint about the movies too, too much focus on Luffy, and Usopp usually only gets some token moments. Movie 5 was the worst, he didn't even get a lousy token moment, he backed out of every single frickin' confrontation! Even after he was called a lady. The great manly Usopp pride would not stand for that! But I liked the villain in movie 4, and I thought Shuraiah was cool.
-
oh right he did have one glorious moment in movie 4
how could i forget about that that was the greatest part of that movie.but after that it went down-hill and i thought that gaspardes cady fruit was pretty lame and his weird looking side kick wasnt much cooler.
shuraiah was pretty cool acutaly but compared to usopp he cant hold a candle and since he replaced usopp sanji and zoro as fighters and main characters in this movie i sorta hold a grudge against him

When you compare other fandoms, OP's movie spin-offs aren't bad, but they're not great either. I find they're all pretty mediocre with a few good scenes each. And I hate the "little annoying kid" character that's present in each one (expect movie 5). Out of all the ones I've seen:
Movie 2- OK, but I didn't like the Pokemon-style character designs, and the fact that Sanji gets his ass kicked worse than any other movie/episode (Oh yeah, and that "thing" he did in front of Nami  ).
Movie 3- Too cutesy, a bit weird.
Movie 4- Bored me, and I hated that kid.
Movie 5- Now, the one thing that bothered me about this aside from Zoro acting OOC is the presence of the supernatural in it. I know Devil fruits and all that are supernatural, but the type of magic in it seemed out of place. But at least there were no kids in it.
Not great, but I've seen worse TV fillers.
-
Hmm for me I think the Dead End one was best overall…I think it was movie 4? Can't remember...and the worst was 3 I think...the one where Chopper becomes the animal king...and with that annoying kid Mobambi...UGH!
-
Well…Movie 6 did have quite a lot of Ussop innit.
Especially...USSOP 5 TON HAAAAMMMAAAA! -
So far, I've seen movies 2, 3, and 4.
Out of those, I probably liked the Clockwork Island Adventure the best. The Trump Siblings are pretty interesting, though giving Queen that particular Devil Fruit was a waste. I do wonder though, what was Burodo's rank in the Red Ribbon Army? Did Toei just have a unused character design lying around or something?
Three is just… weird. The villains are part of the problem; they're funny, but nowhere near threatening enough to be villains in One Piece. The film more or less felt like the Straw Hats had temporarily wandered into another series.
Four is okay, but it recycles way too much for my tastes. Gasparde and Luffy's fight is pretty much Crocodile/Luffy redux with a Krieg bit thrown in for flavor. Sanji and Zoro do nothing. Another family reunion storyline? They just had one two films ago. The beginning of the race was a great scene, but I just wish that the entire film had actually been about the race rather than being about Shuraiya and Gasparde.
-
Did anyone else think the sword guy from Movie 2 (who kept getting idioms wrong) looked like he belonged in Yu Yu Hakusho?
-
I've seen 1-5.. the fourth installment was definately the best one, mainly because of the amazing visuals and the stunning fights. The main gripe for me was that there wasn't actually a race (probably not enough time) and that the last battle was basically a Crocodile rerun. (only Luffy didn't even have to figure out Gasparde's weakness, Sanji just put flour on his hands and said "you'll need this later") Apart from that it was top notch though.
I didn't like the fifth movie because it didn't feel like one piece at all with all the magic.
-
I have no idea what I'll think of the third one. I didn't find the first one as boring as I thought I would, too. I'll probably either like it, or it'll have me banging my head againts my computer desk. From what I've heard ,the story is like something that you'd see in a Pokemon movie. As for the fifth one, the title sounds like it belongs in Inuyasha.
-
Why not watch them, and then give your opinion, rather than constantly talking about what you might think about them when you do see them?
-
my reviews on the One Piece movies:
Movie 1: 5/10
Movie 2: 8/10
Movie 3: 6/10
Movie 4: 5/10
Movie 5: 10/10
Movie 6: Not seen it yet, but it looks like another 6 -
Ew. Movie 4 is probably one of my least favorite. Plot seems overused; revenge, lost sibling blah blah==> figured the ending in detail before halfway. And the filler kid is probably the most annoying. Bad seiyuu, too, for that kid. Syura seems to not belong to One Piece's world. Too angsty.
looks at Naruto's world Hey, that looks better for him.
Battle with Gaspade was an exact reverse of Luffy's duel with Croc. Gomu Gomu Ikebana, Bowgun and Luffy punching thorns = All already done in Manga. Where is the originality? Then again, there was never any.
The best part is when the race starts, but it's already been done before. Volume 12: Part-reverse Mountain, and Luffy bouncing the ship. I had high hopes for the movie, but when I heard the kid talking, and found out that he/she had stowed away on board Merry, I lost all hopes.
At least Usopp gets action.
Movie 5, on the other hand, is by far my favorite. Taking on a somewhat darker tone, with the possibility of betrayal among the StrawHats, I find it to be entertaining. Good action, and FINALLY it's not Luffy who delivered the finishing blow. God, Toei gives him too much screentime.
Downpart: No Usopp action, and he chickens out. Ha. I was hoping to see him and Robin and combo, but no. Toei decides to simplify his character and turns him into a total wuss! He's supposed to be part-wuss! How dare they!
Okay, enough rant. wheeze
-
You thought that kid in movie 4 was more annoying than Mobambi from movie 3?
Movie 5 was OK in the first half. I enjoyed the Luffy/Usopp humor the most, all that running around setting off booby traps was fun, but the second half I thought was agonizingly boring and the plot fell flat IMO. And I didn't care for any of the characters, the fact that they weren't kids didn't make them any better.
The recycling in movie 4 was the worst part of it, but I thought it had more charm than most of the other movies. -
i say movie 2 was the best. i think i anticipated too much in movie 4 and too much was used from the manga, plot wise. and alot of the movies end with luffy using gomu gomu bazooka, annoying imo. so i liked movie 2 with how luffy used the bullet as a final attack and sanji's asskicing was top notch. i just might dl it again to watch it! >__<

Movie 5... I kinda liked seeing Zoro getting pwned ^^
-
1 and 3 are kinda meh but the rest are great. I have Movie 6 on my computer which looks absolutely amazing but I'm not sure if I wanna watch it because I don't know Japanese that well.
-
Movie 1 was a total cliche. The story to me seemed overused: Finding a legendary treasure, and beating the antagonists to it. I found it to be decent, even if it was a bit boring and predictable.
-
nothing can be more annoying than Mobambi,
but as Neostar8710 said i just might DL movie 2 just to watch the greatness again,
i really liked movie 2 as much as any manga canon since all the charactes were in character and they all got their moment to shine(specialy usopp) unlike all the other movies where its basicly luffy luffy lufyy all the way,
and for a movie kid the one in movie 2 almost didnt annoy me at all and his bro was really cool me thinks.
-
Ugh; the third movie was crap. The only funny part in it was Usopp shaking his hips saying "Tell us, pretty please!". At least Mabushikute made up for such an awful movie. Now movie 4; that was the best one! The second one comes at a close second for me, too.
-

Yeah, my thoughts exactly…except Mabushikute doesn't make up for it, because I don't like that song either. XD The animation at the end is nice, though. That's one thing that I missed in M6, there was nothing but credits.
-
i saw the second one the other day and i really liked it the fights were cool tho itd be nice if they were longer. I think i liked 2 a little bit more then 6 tho i liked 6's villian better and it had a much darker side
also where is movie #2 suppose to take place the grandline or the east blue.
and why did they show chopper and ace in the ending credits O___O
-
Am I the only one who thinks movie 6 is really wierd animated?
-
no…believe me when i first saw it it was really weird
-
I think everybody thinks it's wierd, just some people like wierd and some people don't. XD
-
My reviews XD :
Movie 1: Boring. That's about all I remember
Movie 2: I liked this one, almost everyone had some action in it, unlike most of the others where just Luffy fights.
Movie 3: UGH. This one (to me) has the most annoying kid EVER. That itself just ruined this one for me.
Movie 4: It was alright, but only Luffy got to fight–against that wierd candyman. And I honestly didn't care about any of the characters.
Movie 6: I watched this one way too early in the morning and it confused me in my half-asleep state. I still liked it though, even if it was really wierd. And finally--Does anyone know where I can get a subtitled Movie 5? It's the only one I haven't seen yet.

Check various torrent sites, like boxtorrents. I got mine form Kazaa lite of all places…

My favourite was movie 5, least favourite was 1 or 3. . . Too boring. :(
-
to me they were all weird but because I get amused very easily I found them entertaining
