My guess for next chapter: coup de burst fails, sea monsters about to kill the strawhats, somebody who owes the strawhats one swoops in a saves them. Maybe Arlong.

Even if he appears in that arc which is unlikely, it`s even ore unthinkable why he should suddenly save them out of nowhere.

And maybe Caimie is sea princess of fishman island or something.

Dont you think that she would then be known in the world and would be treated so far a bit different. I mean Hatchan should at least have known that hes protecting a princess.
And by the way, no Vivi the second in this arc, pls.

• Usopp attack was impressive

• Hammod looks good. Just want to see what relationship he has to Arlong and if he will appear
• Fishmen island is looking epic
• Surume is great as well. Luffy will free him :wub:
• Sadl Van der Decken is gone that fast. I can't imagine now wo wil be the foe of this arc..: We have him, Caribou, and the new fishmen pirates now

Last chapter's gags were off the scale. The joke's timing was flawless. Franky and Caribou were brilliant.

IMO, last chapter was better than this one. In fact, last chapter was probably the best post time skip chapter so far.

Fisher Tiger already has the sun, and the Arlong-sign really represents Arlong (just look at the nose).

Having so many double pages with so much to draw(just look at FI) it`s normal that Oda makes it a "shorter" chapter.

Is it wrong to assume Jinbei is the strongest current fishman? Is it wrong to assume Arlong was one of the strongest? If so, isn't Luffy far above anyone at Fishman island at this point?

Really liked Sanji's serious face as he contemplated death as opposed to longlife without mermaids - genius!

Only really felt short when I saw the page count at the end, pretty intense pacing, but I like it. Loved the monsters and the fishman pirates, wonder if Arlong will make a return. I would imagine Arlong under water would be far more powerful as would any fishman so I don't necessarily see Luffy and co being total beasts in comparison. I actually thought it was very clever of Oda to put the strawhats in disadvanatageous circumstances after their pwoer boosts to ensure some milleage before seeing them go all out in the New World on land.

Yeah, it's been that way since his introduction. I think most panels only have 15 because Zoro cut one off, though.

These new fishman pirates are interesting but not really. I already figured that they'd be like arlong and they are (am I the only one who noticed the no human tattoo on the fishman ? ). Also it's pretty interesting to see that Jibei doesn't seem to be shit at FI. Arlong def seems to have more influence look at the tattoo. However, I don't believe that Arlong is still at the top there's prob a new leader sitting a top however, I'm pretty sure Arlong is still up there otherwise they wouldn't be sporting his tattoo.

I don't much like these underwater chapters because they really have no other option than escape. They keep meeting badass enemies but they can't do anything :-\ It's becoming repetitive…
Ah, unless as someone stated, Brook which we haven't seen yet in action, has already a reputation in the underwater world and gives a concert to obtain a "free pass".
