I think it might have been Donkey Kong Country on SNES or Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on GBC.
Played, anyway. As for the first one I owned, I can't even remember. Might have been a N64 game, not sure if DK64 or Banjo Tooie.
Lion King
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:Tournament of Fighters
Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master
Don't know which one is first but definitely one of those since I got them all at the same time with my Sega Genesis
Lemmings and Duck Tales quest for gold.
I cannot recall at all. As my mother had owned many, many PC adventure titles my brother and I both naturally gravitated towards them. Thus, there could not have ever been a first. We were probably in the vicinity of them before we were very conscious. Major games I played, however, were King's Quest VI and The Need for Speed (before the The was viciously and forcibly removed from its title.)
The first game console I ever owned was a Playstation and the first title's that may have been on it were beyond me. By the time I owned Breath of Fire III (the defining game of my childhood interests), I already had about 15 other games.
Don't that just beat all!
You tell me to sit still and it makes me wanna run around even more
Super Mario Bros on my dad's NES when I was about 3. I always played it with my mom.
Yoshi's Island for the SNES!
DKC. I was 6 and staying at the house of some high school friends of my mother's. Their college-age children were already out of the house, but they left their SNES behind. That decision on their part changed my life forever.
Then another of my mother's high school friends gave me her son's grey brick gameboy along with tetris and paperboy.
The SNES Aladdin game.
From what I remember I think it was Mario Bros. and a Football(Soccer) game that I dont remember the name for NES, I was like 6 or 7 believe.
My favourite game at the time was Double Dragon :D.
@JERK:
The SNES Aladdin game.
fuck the cave of wonders
this sounds unintentionally erotic
a Football(Soccer) game that I dont remember the name for NES, I was like 6 or 7 believe.

The SNES Aladdin game.
Is that anything like the Genesis (or Saturn, I can't seem to get them straight) Aladdin game?

No, actually the two were QUITE different games.
Much like the genesis and SNES Lion King games were VERY different.
By some odd miracle I still remember playing Sonic 2 at the age of 3. Well, staring at the screen pressing random buttons with the controller unplugged and my uncles actually playing. Such a magical moment.
The Super Mario Bros.\ Duck Hunt cart, thanks to it being packed in with the system of course.
Man remember when manufacturers packed a game with the console, those were the days…

Wasn't the difference in the graphism only ?
Can't seem to remember well…
No they were fundamentally different games.
I hear the Genesis one is better, but I love my SNES Aladdin to this day.
super mario for NES. my brother and I got it for christmas when I was in the second grade
i'm surprised at all the older people on this page. I should go through the other pages and see how many younger people there are here. I was expecting to hear a lot of playstation games being people's first around here.

They are two separate games, I prefer the SNES version myself. It felt more like the movie.
My first game I beat was Duck Tales for the NES, the first game I played (atleast remember playing) was Super Mario Bros. Arcade.
I think the first game I owned was probably the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt.
My first game was the SNES Asterix & Obelix.

I remember the comparisons at the time since it was quite an odd situation. It's normal for multiplat games to have some differences depending on what the platform was capable of, but in this case they were totally different games as they were made by different companies.
The snes one was made by Capcom, whilst the mega drive one was made by Virgin Interactive at a time they were knocking out hit after hit. It looked incredible for the time, and was a very fun game. Never played the snes one.
Yeah, the Genesis version had a lot more to it. Extra items, levels, Aladdin had a sword as well.
The one thing the SNES version had over it was the music and sound though.
Either way, they're both great games.
Yeah, they were both awesome! I had Aladdin and the Lion King for the Genesis, and my childhood crush had Aladdin and the Lion King for the Super Nintendo! Whenever we went over each others houses, we would marvel at the differences between the games, but I only have fond memories of both.
…except the genesis' cave of wonders.
Infidel .
I know for a fact that these two weren't my first, but the ones I remember the most from my early childhood are Battletoads and Sunset Riders. I just can't think of anything before them, though I do remember playing that World Cup game after seeing that video posted.
closet i can get to remembering is legend of zelda A link to the past. Thats one of the best old games out there
sonic for the genesis
and also moonwalker and golden axe
about aladdin..i also had this one..(hate the cave of wonders..)
but the first game i liked to play was banjo & Kazooie
SNes super mario world
This one maybe ?

Haha yeah that was the game, I was so addicted to it, I would injure the other player team, damn that shit was funny, tks for the video made me really nostalgic :D.
Donkey Kong Country
Just bought a wii for Returns.
Spy vs Spy if I remember correctly. Possibly Monkey Island 1. There was this other game I played, but all I remember is that it had some guy who I made walk across the screen in it.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis.
@JERK:
The SNES Aladdin game.
No wonder your so angry…...
Either Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario World for the SNES.
Duck Hunt for the NES
I think it was super mario bros for nes. Or at least, it was the first game we had at home.
Crystalis for the NES, it always creeped me out a little back then. The music helped a lot in that too, it was eerie.

Some Arachnophobia game I played on this weird computer that had a Mickey Mouse ear shaped speaker.
