But we have seen Kizaru only kicking from the side, is it even more dangerous when Kizaru kicks someone straight into the face ?
General Devil Fruit Discussion

-
Well, I'm pretty sure I saw Luffy get kicked in the face by him a few times during the war. Granted, Luffy's rubber, so it might not have hurt as much…
...but, you also have to assume Kizaru can bypass that with haki, so I don't know. Either way. Also, Kizaru laid a hard kick on Hawkins' head back on the Archipelago. Can't remember if it killed the guy that ended up taking it's attack, but there's something to think about.
-
In manga and in the anime some people said that Kizaru is the strongest admiral although akainu seems to be a bit stronger because of his success in heavily wounding whitebeard, but that's maybe just the case because Kizaru's attacks never reached whitebeard because Marco intercepted them.
-
I feel like there may be an insect logia.. Like, a user is sliced with swords but since his body is made of insects they just pulled back together.. could provide some interesting abilities for sure
He would be completely immobile when it snowed. Insects just stop moving during the winter.
-

That's in OP's spirit
Like people that had their shadow stolen by Moriah. (Yes, it's different, but quite alike ^^) -
I wonder if Sanji will explode with the force of a thousand hydrogen bombs if Robin uses her upgraded powers to create huge boobs instead of huge hands
Also if someone actually got kicked at the speed of light, they wouldn't survive
I am not very good with physics but from what I remember if something with the mass of a leg moves with the speed of light and actually hits something well a huge chunk of our entire planet would be gone
Marco isn't a logia, the blue flames seem to be fire…but also aren't. It looks like fire, but has no heat, so you might as well just call it "something that looks like fire but isn't".
Or it could be that this is literally blue flames and they protect him since from what I remember blue flames are actually hotter then magma
-
Oda said in the SBS that the blue flames from Marco's devil fruit are exclusively for regeneration, and don't have any heat
-
You're off on a couple of salient points here:
-We have seen what happens when Brook is submerged in water in chapter 493. He loses his strength and sinks like any other fruit user, but does not die.
-Sea stone does not delete DF powers as if they never existed. For example, Alvida does not regain her previous nonsleek form when trapped by the seastone net. Similarly, when Chopper falls in water he remains in reindeer-man form and does not revert to his natural 4 legged state. So, seastone and sea water inhibit active or even subconscious control of DF powers but do not remove the powers themselves.
-Brook's DF was more than a one time gain. His fruit's power has replaced all functions previously held by his flesh body. His fruit works his gastrointestinal tract, tear ducts, muscles, brain, eyes, etc. These replacement functions are all active, but the parts that keep him alive can not be controlled by Brook consciously or otherwise. So, even if control of them is removed, Brook will not die.
However, it is my belief that Brook would lose control of his skeletal muscles and be paralyzed. Because his muscles have been replaced by his DF power, loss of control over the devil fruit would entail loss of control of his entire body. So, while other DF users can walk and move weakly while in seastone handcuffs, brook would become catatonic.
Nevertheless, you are also underestimating Brook's DF related power. He has all the strength of an above average man but only has to carry 15% of the weight. This makes him many times faster than he was in life, which allows for him to run on water, jump higher, and be the fastest of the crew members. There is no need for him to develop soul powers because his natural abilities can be maximized in more interesting ways.
Ah interesting. So basically DFs provide a passive ability each and these passive abilitites are not cancelled when in contact with sea stone or whatever huh? Well now Brook'd better be lucky he didn't die drowning in the sea the first time.
-
For Alvida, who said she became slim because of her fruit?
I still think sea stones can cancel a DF power. But in Brook's case, I think it would just make him unable to move/control the touched part.
And the rest of his body would weakened. -

Yes, I ate a Devil Fruit and my body changed!!!
It was called the "Sube Sube Fruit" (Slippery Fruit)!!!
Now NO attack can possibly harm my beautiful skin!!!
Unfortunately, it really didn't do much to increase
my ALREADY CONSIDERABLE beauty… But otherwise, you're right.
What was the biggest difference? Well, my freckles disappeared!!
http://www.mangascreener.com/stephen/onepiece/op-v11c098.txtSo, considering that her freckles did not come back when she came into contact with the seastone net, we can conclude that seastone does not reverse all effects caused by a devilfruit, right?
Permanent effects are just that: permanent. This is in fact one of the advantages that paramecia fruits have over logia. All logia abilities need to be actively induced while some paramecia attributes are permanent.

I agree, permanency is recurring theme when comes to paramecia type devil fruit users.

Seastone just takes the power away from a user.(not his DF-ability, it
s his strenght and by that his ability to use his fruit) So Alvida won
t turn back, because she does not actively control her new look with her DF. -

Yeah, Chopper turned back to his animal-human form, not to his original reindeer-form.
So i would say also Alvida wouldnt turn back to her old look, rather than staying in her not by herself controlled DF-look. (also i would guess Oda doesn
t like to draw her again in her old look) -

I just heard from OP Wiki that Sengoku has the Hito Hito no mi, model Daibutsu, a Mythical Zoan that turns the user into a Great Buddha. If this is true, it would explain both his combat skill and possibly contribute to his strategic skills. It has been stated before that a human that eats a human fruit simply becomes enlightened. We can think of Sengoku's fruit being a Human Fruit+. It gave him the power to turn into a Buddha with both increased strength and mental capacity. Looking at it like that, it's a pretty effective devil fruit.

I'd have to question where they got that info from.

Well, I'm pretty positive Sengoku's zoan was revealed in either vol. 60 SBS, or Green Databook (I'm thinking it's the former).

At this point we have "I heard from this guy" as a source. It might be true, but until I actually know I'll doubt.
-
Well, if you doubt the "I heard from this guy" source (which constitutes Greg explaining in great detail what is discussed in the SBS's, Usopp's gallery, etc. straight from his volume in-hand), then I guess picking yourself up a volume 60 would be the next logical step. Either way, the information's there. I mean, even if the OPwiki isn't the end-all, be-all for trusted information, just checking to see if their cited references match at all would also be a thing to do (which they did correct, in this case).
EDIT: There's no room for doubt now. That is, of course, you won't accept anything not in your native language.

SBS Vol. 60
Confirmed by Oda. -
I thin Robin Can Modify the Stricture of the Body part she grows, for Exemple :
Hands without Bones or Nerves ( which would Helps her to not feel the pain of the Grown parts). -
I have a question about Robin's fruit. I know she takes damage if any of her grown parts are damaged, but does she take it cummulatively? Ie, if she produces 3 arms and they get slashed in the exact same place, does her arm receive 3 times the damage? I would imagine it would as if the 3 arms were cut in different places then her original arm would receive the same cuts once she ceased the arm formation. The reason I ask is I was reading her fight against Yama yesterday and she appears to use her arms in a fan like formation to stop Yama's charge and it didn't seem to make much sense so I was wondering whether she used her limb formation to reduce incoming damage?

I believe she did that in order to hold her ground so the monument behind her wouldn't be destroyed. I don't think it had anything to do with taking less damage, herself.
-
I can kinda see that (given the dialogue), it just seems odd as it looks like she is rotating the arms like a fan rather than using them to push against Yama, which is what I would expect if she were trying to hold her ground. Fair enough though, does that mean the general consensus is she takes cumulative damage?

Its probably been discussed at some point, but if Hancock needs someone to love (or at least be attracted to) her for her DF to work, how did she turn parts of the PX's to stone?
-

I think if she is in physical contact it really doesn't matter if they find her beautifull. it's like her slave arrows which can turn even inanimate objects into stone.

Maybe living things have a natural resistance unless they are attracted to her. Inanimate objects and things that aren't technically alive like Cyborgs or robots don't have any resistance to it.
Her Merrow Merrow beam also turns clothing and weaponry on her victims to stone. Obviously those don't feel anything for her.

Well in OP, clothes are part of the body so this isn't a very good example.
If it was the case, Luffy's clothes would've turned into stone too.

I think that's more a Guideline then a Rule

I think that's more a Guideline then a Rule
Right..but in the case of Hancock I think we should take into consideration her resemblance to Medusa (not physically of course) and how in every depiction of Medusa and her powers it's always included the articles of clothing turning to stone as well. So I guess it's just common acceptance in the fantasy world that when there is a power that includes physical altering in some way clothing and inanimate objects are more than included.
Hulk being the most famous exception to the rule but he wears purple pants and it's always hard finding a top to match so you can't really blame him.

If memory serves me right Medusa was supposed to be incredibly beautiful.
-
That she was, pre-supa! powers. I was more or less referring to the new hairdo she would receive at the cost of her beauty.

I would so go for that deal!
-
I still think Hancock's power simply turn everything into stone. Its just that if you're alive you can resist unless you have feelings for her. Having feelings for her is the reason for being petrified not the cause.

The fruit is used up after the first bite. Whoever takes it, gets it.

My friend ask this question all the time
"what happens when 2 guys eat one Devil Fruit in the same time ?"
..i REALY what a answer for this. -
pay attention to the thread:
..Urouge said..
"the first Bite"
i said..if they bite in the same time -
That is impossible, one person will ALWAYS bite into it first. The time difference could be as minuscule as 1 attosecond. Humans are not machines and cannot be so precise as to do something at the exact same time.
Seriously these questions are VERY pointless and do not affect the story whatsoever. People asking these really need to find better use of their time.
-

Toriko proved otherwise:happy:
But yeah, the firstwho actually swallowed a piece of the fruit gets the ability.
Because when sombody just takes a bite and spit it out i think he wouldn`t already have the ability.
(but yeah thats a dump question from the beginning) -
Isn't the point of the forum to discuss whatever might be on your mind? I didn't realise there was some threshold of erudition that one had to meet to post. Even if a dumb question is raised, you should be able to post it and be ignored.
Any road, while I agree it is almost impossible to bite at exactly the same time and swallow, there is always a chance it might happen by accident rather than design. I imagine this was the point of the question, however I doubt there is an answer forthcoming from Oda and one can only guess.
Maybe it would work out that whoever took the second bite/swallow first would get the power and so forth until the fruit was completely consumed and in this inconceivable instance perhaps the fruit would grow again elsewhere.
-
What if one were to puree a DF and then hand out glasses of DF smoothie. And whoever manages to gain the power after a simultaneous chug down wins a raffle prize as well. That would be great for pirate festivities where they know the DF power isn't that great so they could have fun with it.
-

I would never enter that contest xD imagine you got some silly lame devil fruit and thus lost the ability to swim and the opportunity to eat a cool devil fruit when you got it. Off course bad devil fruits don't really exist, but I still wouldn't just eat a devil fruit for the heck of it.
-
Wat If someone eats a DF inside a plastic bag, so it doesn't completely digest in the stomach but does break down in their intestines, and they shit it out and someone else eats it? Who gets the power then?
! See there are lots of retarded questions that can be asked, some you should keep to yourself, since they don't have any impact on the story and there is really is no point in bringing them up
-
Be facetious all you want, why not simply ignore any ridiculous questions and move on to something that can be debated realistically?
For instance, I would still very much like to know whether or not Brook's fruit makes him immortal now as the effects of ageing have already visited and been complete bar the eventual decay of his bones?
-
Moreover, how would you go about killing Brook?
