The quality of this series has gone way down since the monthly business started, IMO. I really want to see the characters I like, like Lenalee and Krory and even Lavy, though not him as much.
Couldn't agree anymore. Right now this series is just a mess.
I gave up on Krory already, apparently Hoshino forgot about him…even though he was 5th in the last poll.
Hoshino is probably saving krory for a more important moment an besides if she focused on him alot during this arc that wouldn't make much sense since the one character this arc is suppose to be focusing on wouldn't get as much focus.

i am so confused right now. Between Hoshino's cluttered but beautiful panels, the poor translations, and the length between chapters i don't really know what going on most of the time. I'll have to go back and read this whole arc when i have time.
hoshino's kinda like that, nothing makes sense when reading piece by piece only when the full puzzle is laid out do you get to see the entire picture.
Kind of the reason why I say DGM doesn't work too well as a monthly .
Even if you read the entire thing again, this arc will still leave you confused at the end.

There is one thing I have got to say that I like about Hoshino's artstyle she changes it up from time to time kinda like Hirohiko does with JJBA. The style changes so smoothly it's kinda hard to tell at first until you compare certain parts of the manga to other parts of it.

This is my favorite anime that isn't One Piece or Hetalia! I LOVE it! I began watching it last year of June 2009, and I fell in love with it! If other cosplay meetups don't get in the way, I plan on cosplaying as Road again for Anime Los Angeles.

Allen saw Alma's soul with his eye and the soul was the soul of the woman Kanda loved and was searching for. Alma tried to kill Kanda because he didn't want him to know her soul was in him and he knew Kanda wouldn't stop looking for her. So Alma tried to kill himself and Kanda.

Actually, the Alma Karma arc just ended in the saddest way possbile.
The 3rd Exorcists go insane, the Noahs rip out Kanda's tattoo (which is his lifeforce), and Alma is dying. Allen, against Leverrier's wishes, sends Kanda and Alma to Lala and Guzol's temple in Mater (remember that place from the Ghost of Mater Arc? I was suprised it showed up again), where they died together.
That is the saddest death in D. Gray-man since the deaths of Daisya and Skinn Bolic.
Maybe if they ever animate this some day the impact will be better felt for me. The author's style just leaves me more confused than anything to enjoy such plot devices.
I was never a Kanda fan, but I will admit this is a bit of a surprising death, considering he's been around since the very beginning.

What I find confusing is how did Alma turn into an akuma with that girl's soul inside him…while still being synchronized with an innocent. Those two things don't add up.
To those that think Kanda granting that was his original name will die. His real body died a long...long...long...time ago. If you still remember it, Kanda is part of the artificial apostle project where in the brains of the actual exorcist who are no longer capable of combat are transferred to artificial bodies. (e.g. Kanda and Alma).
