What of course i have Both of "it".
it was weird, Last night i caught my Self Doing it and i flew around the world, and challenged Jotaro Kujo to a fight, he said No cause i didnt have a Stand. Then i made one and an awesome fight ensued.

This has only happened to me five times that i can remember. Two i cant speak of, cuz yeah…... But the other 3 were pretty interesting.
One was i was in my school and there was like a carnival thing going on and when i realized i was in a dream it turned into like a demented messed up funhouse out of a scary movie. I was like 7 at the time so i didnt know wtf was happening so i just walked around. It actually reminded me alot of a video game because freddy kuger was running around killing people on roller coasters and in food and whatnot and i was trying to stop him. I finally did after he "killed" me and i fell on the ground and he went after my friends, i got up and healed myself and proceeded to eradicate him with a giant fireball. XD
I woke up in the middle of a bridge and was trying to get off. I couldsnt though, cuz the bridge like went on forever and i kept making things appear to help me get off and keep me ocupied like books and hammers and stuff. So i finally jumped off the side and woke up XD.
Another time i imagined my friends and i were all dolls and we were living in a dollhouse. We drove around in a remote control cars and watched TV and everything. XD
I only barely remember it, but I think I did this last night/early morning, but not the kind you guys talk about. I was in a nightmare I think, but not the "OH SHI, MONSTER!" nightmare, but a real life nightmare, like loved ones dying, and everything that can go wrong was… tho I can't remember who exactly.
Either way, towards the end of it I... didn't say it... but thought it... I said/thought "Okay, I want to wake up now." and... well, I woke up then and there. I don't remember exactly what happened in the dream, but after I did wake up from it, I was so angry I hit my wall with my palm.
I'm pretty sure how things are in my life right now brought it on. My mom has been in bad half for years now... and just in the last few days, my dog who's been with me since I was 4 started having problems. He wont eat, drink and is having trouble going to the bathroom and constantly cries. My only guess is he's constipated and I'm doing everything I can like feeding him milk and pumpkin.
'It' wouldn't happen to be-
..by any chance?
…what the hell, Tizoc? That's an awesome image tho.
Since I'm necro'ing this thread, this seems very apropos…
I dreamt that there was a crowd of people in some kind of shelter, on an island, somewhere in the ocean. Out of the early morning fog, to the terror and dismay of all, several frozen railroad boxcars have washed ashore. Someone screams, terrified, that the ice is melting. Moments later, the undead stream forth from their icy makeshift tomb to feed on the living once more!
Cut! The director is happy enough with that scene, and everyone takes a short break. During the break, reporters interview one of the actresses. Turns out she's been one of the zombies in every film in this particular series. These flicks were put together by a couple of guys that look like Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and are the current hot Hollywood property. So naturally, they both want to have sole ownership of the thing, and they can't stand each other.
Well, the interview is over, and filming resumes. This time, they're shooting a scene of zombies attacking people inside the wreckage of an airplane; but this time, things aren't going quite right. In between takes, the veteran actress gets pissed at one of the non-zombies and bites them. Somebody claims that she really is a zombie, and pandemonium breaks out. Pretty soon, all of the zombie extras are biting people! The bitten actors and actresses flee the set, then begin acting like zombies themselves. One guy goes up to a newspaper vendor's stall and tries attacking the lady behind the window. She holds him off for awhile by waving a stick at him menacingly. Then he rips her arm off and starts waving it at her in a deliberate mockery, with the same dull, lifeless look on his face.
At some point, I got tired of the gore-fest, and walked to the back of the plane/set, where a crowd of zombies (some in make-up, some "infected") were about to tear the last survivor- other than myself- apart. The veteran actress was trying to bite into his face when I grabbed her by the hair, put an arm under her chin and told her "Stop this nonsense right now, or I will fucking kill you. She immediately quieted down, as did most of the others. Then another "zombified" actor came up behind me and tried to grab me. I grabbed his lower jaw and yanked it out of socket, repeating my dire warning again. This anti-zombie 'infection' seemed to spread as quickly as the initial zombie infection itself. The Matt and Trey Clones thought that this could be the inspiration for their next movie, and immediately began fighting over who owned the rights to it. Their fight quickly escalated beyond the verbal, and soon they were duking it out in the ocean. As a result, they both drowned.
Admittedly, I only had control for a small part of that dream. But being able to have that control when it counted, instead of being scared awake, was a refreshing change of pace.
Yeah, I controlled my dreams a couple of times.
One time I noticed that my dream is too unreal to be true and so I walked through and met a lot of old friends, just because I wanted to.
And it happened in a sex-dream which was kinda awesome.
Nice topic there btw.
It's funny, because most times I'm dreaming (long dreams, to be precise) at first I feel like I'm in the real world, but then I somehow realise I'm dreaming and say to myself "okay, enough of this" and I just wake up as I normally would. But the weird thing is, that when I try to open my eyes - I actually open them in the dream, as well. Crazy shit, indeed. :ninja:
I had a dream today that I murdered someone and I was on the run…
I was able to control the dream so that I would get away...
I did not enjoy that dream...
why would you want to control yer dreams? how boring. ._.
Why would it be boring? This way you're creating your own personal world.. in a weird sorta way.
i dunno, it just seems like it would ruin it. if i wanted to control my life like thatd, i'd play the sims or something. dreams should be completely unpredictable.
plus then nightmares would be a thing of the past, i would think.

No, that's not how it works. It's impossible to control your dreams in the way you're talking of. We're talking about developing an awareness of your dream, and a minute control in the sense of you being capable of deciding where to move, and how to do it with the sense of consciousness of your waking mind.
The atmosphere, influences, and everything that really makes a dream a dream is in essence totally impossible to control. That's your subconscious at work there at levels we can't even begin to understand. Lucid dreaming in this sense is nothing more than becoming aware of what's happening to you, immersing yourself in it completely and as a result experiencing the whole far more intensely than you normally would, stumbling along in your dreams as a mere puppet of your own thoughts. Basically, it's more like consciously exploring your dreams than controlling them.
well that's my theory at least
I had this dream where i was in this school that was like Wayside(the cartoon). except the place looked more grittier, harder, like a public school. i was in this school trying to be a student, and their were others like me doing the same thing(they had familiar faces). I had to find my class in this maze like school. i was running allot because i hate to being late. their where enemy's along the way , the super preppy upper class student. sneering evil trying to catch me. after that i just woke up
but damn that was a cool dream. i think Its because i slept upside down where i usually sleep
I don't dream, or recall them, which ever it is. I just close my eye's and wake up.
Most lucid dream I've had involved me walking around a contorted version of my house. When I walked into my living room, I saw a group of people, including some family, standing in the middle of the room with their backs towards me. Then the skin on the back their heads start to split open and a large eye began to form where the skin split. I had an urge to check the back of my head, but I had already started to wake up at that point.
Interesting topic, can't believe I read through all the pages.
I can control my dreams to various extents very often. Most of the time it's just being able to rewind/load if something bad happens, like if everything is going fine, then you see your friend get crushed by a rock and there is blood and gore and it's so horrible, and though I'm not fully aware that it's a dream, I can jump back to right before it happened so that it doesn't happen. I'm aware that it's a dream at least enough to know that I have that ability. or if I go somewhere and is attacked, and I'm bleeding, dying, I just rewind to before it happened and I won't go to that same place again.
But yeah, being able to manipulate people and things around you is a lot of fun in dreams, because the feelings and sensations you feel are real, or somewhat at least, which is really awesome.
I think once or twice, when I'm falling asleep and already in a dream state. Otherwise, no, and that sucks because I'd have the greatest dreams ever.
I cant control my dreams, but I can decide what I want to dream about before I fall asleep, atleast if I want to, so I usually dream about stuff that I want to dream about so I have no need in controling my dreams. It would be a nice feeling though since I cant controll what happens when I am awake either… I dont think that I've been in controll of something ever.
Logic usually overcomes my dreams. I try not to do it, because I like letting them play out and peering into my subconscious. I usually figure it out, though, whether I want to or not.
I've been able to do it a few times here and there, usually when I've thought about something a lot before going to sleep.
I guess I have dreams like that relatively often (about once a week), I can also get to a dream like that at will, but it kinda requires that I'm sort of half awake or really tired.
I also often have dreams where I at some point know it's a dream but forget it or don't really get to be in control, my dreams are very vivid and complex, and often have complex plots. I also remember them well.
The weird thing is, and this holds true always, if I close my eyes in a dream like that, I always wake up. Waking up often disturbs these dreams for me. And I often became aware of my body in the bed while I'm still dreaming, and then I wake up.
Yeah, I hate waking up during a dream. For me to dream, I have to be in a perfect state between unconscious and conscious, unconscious enough to tap into my subconscious thought, but conscious enough to observe them. If I'm too much towards the former, then I'm passed out and can't remember a thing and if I'm too much towards the latter, logic easily kicks in and I wake up in the middle of a sequence.
The worst is when you know you're dreaming and it's edging on nightmare and you can't wake yourself up.
i used to like dreaming but i had a TOO REAL to explain dream that happened that scared the sh*t out of me…...........no joke, sweat pouring down my back!!!
i dreamt i was in my village at night coming back from the pub, it was thundering and in the light of the lightning i saw the silhouette of a huge plan overhead and on the second flash i saw the silhouette of a bomb falling out..
it was a nuke.............to cut the story short i barely survived the blast and spent 3days trying to get away from the irradiated area, looking for food and water, everyone was scared and brutal due to the lack of resources, it was the survival of the fittest and having to kill with your bare hands isn't like the movies
by the time i woke up i could barely believe it was a dream and not a premonition
i will never forget that nightmare
this is the second realistic nightmare ive had and i really am not looking forward to any more, fingers crossed i'l be hugh heffner next time
I was happy that there was already a thread on this subject because i was thinking of making one. I have been a lucid dreamer for a long time now. I have had many experiences that i would love to share. I'll start with one i had last night. i was at my old high school doing something wrong i guess because i kept looking back to see in the people in the baseball diamond saw me and the people i was with(none of which i know). I was in one of the loading docks when suddenly we had to run because of something. I knew of a path that would take us to the top of the dock and to the street via a small roof path. we make it and jump down, but i go back to get my car. When i get there, Bob Vila(why i don't know) is driving his van into my car. I start yelling at him about how he's going to fix my car and he agrees. We end up in some small house on the lawn of the school with some creepy ass tall old man. He's skinny, bald on top, thin white hair in a horse shoe and dulling blue eyes. As i stood there, a small story started being told about this creepy guy and how he had been tormenting Bob and me. Various scenes flash all the different events and at the end we're back at the house. I know then i have to destroy him. I fight with him, disfiguring his face in the fight. I throw him down the stairs and start to walk away, but i get a bad feeling and turn around. His mangled body is marching up the stairs. I grab him and tear him in two. His two halves form large green bubbles on each of my hands. Each bubble represents one of his terrible traits. I concentrate and make my hands catch fire and burn the rest of his essence away thus completely destroying him. I run out of the house and jump from the porch. As i hit the ground, i make the house explode in fire. I fall down in a stupor. someone tries to snap me out of it but is unable to. Everything goes black as i slip from the dream into void then into my body and i wake up.
I've done this twice I think. O-o
It was a cool experience. but I woke up shortly after.
((controlling my dreams))
I never took control over the whole dream, but what I did do is take control of myself in the dream. Like one time I was running in horror from something i can't remember, that something was running after me and after a while I started thinking HELL this is just a dream fuck it I can handle this and I took over, calming myself and my panic and stopping to face the thing - unfortunately I don't remember the outcome!!
Well, I took control of my dreams a lot of times <<; My favorite one was when I had this ability to jump off cliffs (like Kaku 8D) and land safely on the ground. I remember I was chased by some bad guys while trying to save a baby that was kidnapped and was in a truck <<; I manipulated the dream whenever I was in danger and whenever those bad guys almost succeded in capturing me o3o What really made me remember this dream, was the way I completely woke up D: I had jumped off a cliff and I fell on my bed o3o I bounced a couple of times too and I was like 'wtf happened << >>'. It was really vivid >3<
I have never controlled a dream. When it feels like I start trying, I'll either die in the dream and wake up, or just wake up.
One thing you can do to control your dreams is to think about it before you go to bed. In a dream, what you can control in only limited by your imagination and your control over your own thoughts(which is a lot harder then it sounds). When you realize you're in a dream, try to remember that you can not be hurt or die. I've jumped from huge heights, fought legions of creatures, taken bullets, cuts, beatings and more and came out fine because i knew that nothing could hurt me. When you start having lucid dreams more often, you can experiment to see just how far you can go. One normal thing that you can improve is flying. When i started i had a little trouble flying, mainly because i didn't have the mental strength to keep me up in the air. With practice i soon mastered normal flying, but this was not enough. I wanted to fly really fast and this again took practice but after some time i was flying at incredible speeds. Flying fast can be done by you imagining everything passing by you faster, almost like you are moving the world faster instead of yourself. For those who love flying as much as i do this is a must. The feeling is so great, you feel like you have hit a new level of understanding. I hope i can help others in lucid dreaming and i'm more then happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. I'll post more later.
I cannot control my dreams. My dreams control ME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I kid, but really. I can't. The dream just goes on without me, whether I realize I'm in a dream or not. They are mostly hectic and random dreams, where people and places suddenly change in an instant…. so, I don't think I'd be able to control it anyway. :T
My dreams are silly and retarded, and super random. And very tl;dr. I tend to remember lots of thing in ridiculous amounts of detail.
! Me and a group of people (two children and one woman) were visiting a morgue where a cleaning process was to be held. Two dead people were present: a man and a woman, along with the man who to do the cleaning. The children were watching and talking with the supposedly dead man. Obviously he wasn’t completely dead., despite being slapped with a label that read “dead”. The woman, on the other hand, was quite dead.
! The half-dead man didn’t seem to mind that his intestines were going to be cleaned out (and for some reason, nothing else was removed). While talking, he recognized the woman that was with us, and told the kids (apparently they were his): “Your mother is here” or something to that extent, and the kids immediately tried to chase her for she had run off. While they were with me the whole time, they probably didn’t recognize her until now. I’m speculating that she probably had left the family at one point and hadn’t seen her ex-husband or kids ever since.
! There was brief, but unmemorable and uninteresting conversation between the rest of the people before the woman and children came back. The girl child was trapped in a large sac of water where we had to puncture a hole to let the water escape. As to how she got in there, nobody knows.
! Next thing you know, the entire morgue becomes a small cockpit of an aircraft. The dead-ish guy seemed to look healthier each time I looked at him, and the dead woman was gone. Some other random lady was flying the machine. I was looking around for something to eat, but could only find bread. In fact, the only food on the ship was bread. There was even a large section full of moldy bread from back in 2004. As we neared a so-called destination (which I immediately, in-dream, assumed was England), we had to make a nose dive. The nose of the aircraft was a clear glass dome with steel reinforcements. As the aircraft started tilting, the entire crew had to gradually make their way down towards the nose, and by the time we were doing a full nose-dive, we were standing on the dome and watching ourselves plummet down to the ground. It was awesome and breathtaking. Also, the city was this bright yellow/orange color, like cheese. Everything was yellow, including the ground (which seemed quite plastic and fake, and way too flat).
! Once we were nearing ground level and slowed down, the pilot started bumping us into things like buildings and other landmarks. One of them stuck out in my mind, because the building was piano-shaped. She also kept trying to land in impossibly cramp areas. How cramp, do you ask? Very cramped. As is, we couldn't even fit in between the buildings to land. Anyway, by the time we got to ground level, our aircraft had shrunk (and we weren’t shrinking with it)! We were hanging out of the doorways and trying to moving the craft manually to a better spot.
! Anyway, after landing we all went to a nearby supermarket. My friend David, was apparently the pilot. It was as if the woman never existed, which makes me wonder what I really see David as… but either way, I was scolding him at the market about his awful driving skills. He hung his head in mock-shame and just laughed it off. He also bought me a parfait, with lots of M&M’s and sprinkles. They were all blue. I accidentally threw away the sprinkles (they were inside this container that was attached to the cap… remember those?) and I tried to find them out of the trash, but to no avail. I caught up with the rest of my crew and they were talking to a police officer, who was also buying a yogurt with sprinkles.
! The End.
It's not exactly the subject of this thread, but when I was a child I used to dream that I could fly, well in fact I was literally flying in my dreams, all around the town, it seemed so easy, just thinking of it and bam, I was a few meters above ground… (I read somewhere that its something common to the whole mankind, in every cultures around the world, children seem to have the same kind of dreams)
But what is scary/sad is that by getting older, it became harder and harder to fly in my dreams, in the end I had to run like crazy and jump with all my strength to be able to float for only a few seconds. And then I was not able to fly anymore. And getting even older, I began to have dreams about not being able to walk easily anymore, I remember having dreams where I just had to walk a small slope, but it was soooo tiresome, my legs were heavy, I couldn't breathe, couldn't go faster, ...
I don't remember having those kind of dreams for a few years, but it's really a strange feeling to lose your abilities years after years, even in your dreams ! :-o
I had a great dream last night, well the first part was great anyway. I reached a new level in lucid dreaming and it's all thanks to Luffy. I remember being behind a run down apartment building. I was talking with some guy when he informed me about his dream to become the pirate king. I suddenly became aware that i was in a dream, laughed and told the man i was going to be the pirate king. He then told me that a gang of men were after me and as i looked to my left i saw them on the other side of a chain link fence. They spotted me right away, so i said bye to the man, jumped on the fence, and for the first time, stretched my arms to a far away tree and rubberbanded to it very fast. Since this was the first time i had stretched in a dream, it was hard at first to learn to control the rubberbanding effect(bouncing around when i reached the tree). The gang of men were still after me so had to keep moving. From tree to tree i stretched until i came upon a road with cars parked on top of each other. I jumped on top of a car stack and looked down to see the gang right below me. I then hit the car i was on to activate the car alarm and that scared them away. I stretched to another tree and then to a rooftop. I guess i lived there because i knew i could just walk in. My family(not my real family, the family of whoever i was) was waiting for me and had food ready. They were glad to see me since i was late. The first part ends there. The second part is a bit blurry at first, something to do with a large arena styled house and me getting hunted by some creature. The first i clearly recall is being in a hallway made of a living flesh like substance. The ground was much like a tongue but with large fleshy finger-like things on the sides. A naked man and woman were in front of me walking ahead. A voice was talking like it was a guide of sorts telling us to look at the various rooms on the sides. I knew right away i did not want to look because it was something awful and haunting. I continued down the tongue path until i reached the end of the hall. I was told i had to proceed forth or be consumed by a creature that was walking behind us. A second, more fleshy and slimey tongue unrolled in front of me and i walked until i came to a group of membranes with a child in the middle of it. I crawled to the child who told me i would need this, a large eye with white flesh around it. As I take the eye and leave the membrane a door opens to my left. I walk through and am now in a large other worldy court yard. In the center is a large strange looking platform( i couldn't explain it if i tried). A creature begins making its way towards me, so i run for the platform. When i get close to it, it teleports me inside. Inside, there are many teleporters and I get the feeling that i am supposed to defeat the creature with this eye. I wait for the creature to come in and as he chases me to a near by teleporter, i throw the eye in to the same teleporter that the creature uses. As they both teleport next to me the eye grows large and uses some gaze attack on the creature killing it. I leave the platform via teleporter and end up back in the courtyard. Now(dreams have a way of telling you everything) i know i can save some woman, who i guess i was there to save. I wake up, happy from the stretching, and kinda weirded out by the second half, but still happy. Being sick these past few days has really helped me out in the dreamworld.
I don't think I've had lucid dreaming before, but I have experienced sleep paralysis a few times. I find it scary and pretty much panic the moment I realize I've lost control over my body. It's like, I try to move towards the door so I can get to the bathroom and wash myself, but I only feel myself moving sluggishly and lethargically, and my eyes can't even open fully so I'm stuck with half images that don't move at all. And every time I get to a certain point (like say, stepping through the door), the cycle restarts itself. I get so panic-stricken that I don't have time to think clearly and stop the process…
Anyone here able to help? I don't like this unpleasant feeling...I want to know how to stop it after realizing it.
Wake up.
You're dreaming right now.

This still happens to me from time to time. Feeling like that sucks, especially when my eyes are half-closed and looking in one direction. Most times when this happens, i have been unable to change the aspects of it even when i realize it's a dream. The only thing that has helped me is the ability to wake myself up. Most times i don't end up back in that same dream. If this happens to you a lot, try focusing on feeling free or something else like flying. See it happening in your mind and know that you CAN do it, it's a dream. Think about it until you fall asleep, this can take a few nights for it to sink into your sub-conscious.
What i do to wake up out of a dream is just shake my head in small rabid motions, which seems to shake my real head enough for me to snap out of it, this also takes practice too.
Lastly, make sure to get a good nights rest. Good sleep can equal better dreams.
Hope some of that helps.
I don't recall ever having a lucid dream, but a couple of times I've dreamed of having a lucid dream! One vivid one was realising I was dreaming and so I started flying, but it was really hard and I had to concentrate to keep from falling back down. When I woke up though I realised it wasn't lucid and I didn't actually decide to start flying.
Yeah.. But I suspect it'd be really cool to have one.
Nice one last night. As of late, i have been experiencing shape shifting in my dreams. In my most recent one, I was a hybrid of a human and a crow, humanoid shape and limbs with large wings and covered in black feathers. I was happy from being able to shape shift and flew around a bit enjoying the freedom. After a time, i felt the urge to dive into the ground knowing that the border of my current dream was below the surface. I phase into the ground and i am surrounded by not earth but large chunks of some strange materials. I get the feeling i am in the core of my psyche and as i peer through the cracks of the material I see other parts of my psyche. Seeing this as a chance to explore something i've never experienced before, i move to the openings and peer into various areas. Inside these areas were my memories and my deep rooted feelings on a variety of subjects. Before i could get a deeper understanding of what i was seeing, i awoke. Though a bit sad that i had made this discovery only to get a very small taste of it, I was still very happy at this new experience.
I want a lucid dream so badly. They sound awesome.

In the last few years most of my dreams, that I can remember, are lucid ones. One of the best things about that is that it's like completely gotten rid of nightmares for me since I know I'm dreaming. Nice.

I envy you. Though an understanding of my nightmares has helped to limit the number of them, i still have intense nightmares which my control is restricted.
The majority of the dreams that I have aren't nightmares, I've never really had them :ermm: . I'd like to see what types of dreams I'd have while listening to different types of music. I can't ever seem to fall asleep listening to music though. I think a lot of that has to do with the annoying ear phones though.

I used to have really terrible nightmares when I was younger. And a lot of them would take place in my bedroom (with me lying in bed) so it was hard for me, during the nightmare, to realize whether I was awake or not. :(

A lot of mine involve a house, big or small, and usually demons or monsters of some kind. On the good nights(which are very few), i can slay or banish them, on bad nights they endlessly chase me and try to kill me. The surroundings combined with the situation make it very horrific.

Yeah I get killed a lot in my dreams too. I mean I still do get killed pretty often but it just doesn't scare me anymore. Lmao two nights ago I got shot in the throat, in a dream, and just spent a little time poking at the wound and thinking about how cold and wet it felt. A lot of the fear of getting dismembered or killed is just gone now. But I rarely feel pain in my dreams so that's probably part of it.
I used to have really terrible nightmares when I was younger. And a lot of them would take place in my bedroom (with me lying in bed) so it was hard for me, during the nightmare, to realize whether I was awake or not. :(
I can identify with that. Not that I considered it a nightmare, but I remember dreaming that I was awake in bed, with a giant spider staring at me and taking up the half of the room in front of me. I had a lot of those as a child.

It's not so much that i die, luckily that stopped when i started lucid dreaming. Can't die when you know you can't. I have been stabbed, shot, beaten to a pulp, etc. Seeing the wounds are kinda funny sometimes as you say. One time I was beat up by three guys(dream), after i disposed of them, I looked in a mirror at myself, had black puffy eyes, broken nose and jaw, missing teeth, blood all over, but no pain, just, as i can best describe, pressure.
