Really, no love for LordKat?

I've been praising him every now and then. I'm also a sucker for those tough-as-nails games, mainly for the NES though. UWW is a really entertaining show.

Todd's Hannah Montana stuff has been also brilliant. I love the guitar peripheral which you have to hit in order to strum. Not to mention the complexity of the note charting.

About Blistered Thumbs moving to their own site: it's just convenient that they could all be found at one place, but I don't really mind either way.

I was never really that scared by the movie It, because I read the book first which was actually scary. I spent most of the movie's run being annoyed at the toned down way the movie was presented. Not even Tim Curry can save a bad adaption.

This is pretty much my opinion. The kid who was a sociopath who killed his baby brother who wasn't in the movie was the scariest thing in it for me.

Yeah, I read the comment section on Brad's site. I found out what scene it was. All I can say is DAMN. Its a not a movie for me, hell I probably wouldn't last 5 minutes watching it.

I probably will see Jackass 3D sooner or later. Since those guys always end up doing something amusing in those movies.

You have the actual Monster Party cartridge ? I'm afraid I'm down to simple emulation , but I sure as heck love the game nonetheless .

That game looks absolutely awful. I really dug the Alone in the Dark comparison, and the scene of Spoony stumbling from the bathroom with the changing camera angles was great.

The review wasn't as nerve-wracking as I thought it would be. The NC made a lot of good points as well as some great bits.

However, the movie still freaks me out a bit just because of the premise and because I think Pennywise is still pretty scary.

That spider at the very end was pretty stupid though.

Are yous seriously rating Stephen King's books by using dumb a TV films?

Half of the complaints addressed to King aren't even present in the book. The pay-off was an incredibly long battle and yes, It's history was thorougly explained.

I really hated the movie, since like I said I read the book first, and the movie did not do the book justice at all. So much was left out that generally made the movie seem like a mess.

I've yet to read anything by King but I am going by the words of someone more then twice as old as me who has read far more then I ever will by saying he is not exactly all he is cranked up to be .

I could read something of his down the road , but I'd need to know what would be as short a read and one that I could also even obtain in my shit fest of a country .

I just hope he wouldn't end up being as…..excesive as Barker .

Well, The Dark Tower has what the NC would call typical Stephen King great build-up and awful pay-off. While I like the ending and the first half of the final book, the final confrontation(s) were really lame.

The road to that is amazing though. It's better when you've read most of King's books though. It references some of his work and has some easter eggs you wouldn't get. The Stand and Salem's Lot are especially important.

Sorry, Tim Curry as Pennywise is still freaking scary to me. (except for that scene in the library, that was silly). Everything else the critic says is true, the bad acting, the melodrama, just . . . . everything. But Tim Curry as a Killer Clown? GAAH!!!!!

The spider is freaking stupid though. That's always been the case.

If you read the book, you can read the scene where the girl was even MORE of a slut and had sex with all the boys in the sewer after they fought the monster as kids!

No. Seriously. That's in there.

There was also something about a giant turtle.

Yeah, didn't actually get to that part about the girl having sex with all the boys, but yeah, that's just awful and unnecessary.

Also, here's a fun fact for you all. We all rag on Kubo and Kishi for not planning their stories and making them up as they go, but King doesn't plan his stories either. He says so in his "On Writing" book. He once got a letter from a fan who had cancer who asked how the Dark Tower series would end (I think it was Dark Tower) since he/she wouldn't survive long enough to read it, but King replied that he couldn't answer since he didn't know how it would end either.

Why do you find the guy scary ? He's got flour on his face , read foam on his nose and colored plastic as hair .

Yeppers. Hated that movie. So god damn stupid. And the stupid conversation toward the beginning of the movie where they talk about how 'Silent Hill 4' even though what they mention makes no god damn sense in terms of the game, that bothered me too.

Also, killing the hot goth chick annoyed the shit out of me. There is a short supply of hot goth chicks in this world.

Spoony has a review of 'Let Me In', the US remake of the film "Let the Right One In". Much to my surprise, he likes the US remake better than the original. :blink:

I saw the original, only in dub. I liked it, so I'll definately give this one a shot.
