I think solid state is a lot more expensive and I'm not sure of the advantages/disadvantages of using that over sata. You might want to read over it yourself.

It's Halloween, and what have I done all day? Watched Psych on Netflix and went to a pumpkin patch. I'm going to a party later, but don't worry, it's actually my roommate's Dad's birthday, not some gathering where all the cool kids go to drink alcohol. But if I just call it a party and leave out the roommate's dad's birthday thing, you guys will still think I'm cool, right? I'm going to a party later.

have fun :ninja:

So I feel better today after last night's party disappointments.
After waking up (I was either still tired, or hung over, LOL), I lazed around and watched the new live action Scooby Doo special (it was alright, but I didn't like the musical things in it), then went out to get my new Bus pass and get signed up to a GoodLife Fitness.
This evening I got dressed up again, and went down to the building lobby to help hand out candy to the kids (and d'awwwing over a siamese kitten one person was holding). Is it weird that I had more fun talking with a handful of seniors handing out candy than I did being in a bar with my peers? Maybe I'm an old soul or something.
Now that the trick or treaters are slowed down, I'm back upstairs watching the end of Ghostbusters 2 and old Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes on TV and nomming on banana muffins.

The old Treehouse of Horror episodes are on? What channel?

I'm watching Global Television, it's a Canadian channel. I think right now is the last episode though.

A friend showed me the "Blue Waffle" picture (go ahead and google it) today. I guess it's no libido for at least a week now. Yay!

I thought reverse psychology was gonna work. Oh well.
Seriously though that picture is more effective than any safe sex campaign.

Not so much, actually. I'm not a huge fan, but it's really addictive in a semi-nauseating headache sort of a way.

Dubsteps actually pretty good if you know which DJ and location to look out for.
The main problem being the commercial side of it that ruins the image. There's a cool club I've been to thats dedicated to oldskool reggai in one room and dubstep in another, whilst mixing the two in the third…
...goood shit.

GoldenEye comes out tomorrow and I've landed a job.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah -
My Myth class was canceled today. Had to work longer, though, because of it.

I love some good dubstep, like Major Lazer. Random dubstep, though, from several rooms over penetrates the skull like nothing else.

A long-time friendship of mine was ended in the creepiest, saddest, probably most pathetic way imaginable, with him ranting on about how he was okay ruining all of his friendships because I was the only one he needed. He started going on about this bizarre "friends forever" kind of spiel. It started getting obsessive, stalker-esque, and … really I have no idea how to describe it other than creepy. I was so repulsed I fucking cut it off immediately, said he was going crazy, he told me to "grow up", so I fucking ended him. What makes it sad was he had slowly been alienating everybody around him by being a hateful, spiteful person and just sort of demanding everyone be sympathetic to him. He just became this bizarre, sad kind of NEET.
Then taboo and I ended up laughing about it and that was all I really did today. The rest was just blankly thinking about how weird the whole thing was. But then I realized with him gone, everything is kind of nicer. I still feel bad that he's in this really awkward, lonely position when all he was trying to do was prove he was a "good friend", but man.
What a weird ass day.

I had a friend who was like that. It was incredibly and ridiculously difficult to shake him off.
Today the lecturer revealed the statistics of grades for a test which I had gotten a horrible mark for. Surprisingly, I'm about half a mark above the mean - not good, but way better than I thought I'd be. Got a B+ for a report too. It's all very mediocre, which isn't good, but it's still something of an ego boost considering I was ready to commit academic suicide a few days ago.

Fell asleep listening to Dark Side of the Moon last night. It was interesting.

I'd imagine. I'd like to experiment with sleeping with different types of music but I think it just keeps me awake.
I got the highest score on the Arabic midterm in my class. Despite half the class being Somali and 3 or 4 others speaking some form of Arabic.
Also voted for the first time today.

Back in my Israel days, I did that all the time, experimenting with different bands from Sunn O))) to Repulsion. Lots of mixed results. My mind never fully shut off with music on, though. I was able to put my iPod away, successfully each night, conscious or not. They led to some interesting dreams, though.

I spontaneously dyed my hair with Directions right now. I still have to wash the colour out again. I'm so curious how it will look

So my last 2 days have been fantastic.
I'm on work experience, so I've gone back to my old primary school and I get to see all my old teachers again, and it really has only hit me today that I actually really miss it. I get to each lunch in the staff room with the teachers, which is admittedly pretty awkward, but that's due to the fact that I'm used to some of them having been teachers to me, and also that I'm new.
The kids are so heartwarmingly naive, and also really polite to me. I really don't want to leave and tomorrow is my last day - I'm going to complain about such little time allocated to Work Experience - I mean 3 days? You could atleast make it a (working) week.

Normal ass day -
First time posting in this thread!
How was my day? let's see…...
I had a pretty average breakfast morning, but sadly could not attend my college classes today due to the sheer insanity that is Giants Fans. I mean, Holy Fuck BART was packed. The line to buy tickets was so incredibly long it stretched outside of the BART station, across the bus platforms, and down the street. I am not making this shit up, it was INSANE. The front of the line where you purchase your BART Tickets was roped off from the rest of the line with yellow tape and had an active duty police officer constantly standing guard. (I didn't have to worry about any of that since I had a $45 card pass, but still.) So after taking a pretty neat video of the line, I promptly caught the next bus back home and stayed there. I had to walk home though, that kinda sucked.
Aside from that, the rest of my day so far has been pretty normal.
Oh, and I also have a midterm exam tomorrow in my Woman's Psychology class so I've been studying that while I've been home. :ninja:
That's about it.

Weird is better. Do it. Do it now !

It went.. pink instead of purple and the beginnings are.. greyish..
I can't take a picture now, cause I just stood up and I'm still sleepy and without make up. And the hair is just messy right now. Be patient!

I'm sure you look fine but whatever :ninja: .

don't bet with me, you'll lose :ninja:

Oh please Nami, I saw the picture and it doesn't look anywhere near as bad as you say. :getlost:
I just came back from the dentist, which I dread. It's basically three and a half hours of severe discomfort with fifty things poking around in my mouth and pain shooting through my gums (because they're inflamed, because I'm a lazy flosser).
Anyway, I was told that my wisdom teeth are starting to come out and I'll have to get them extracted soon. I just went oh, okay. But inside my head I was screaming and yelling because I am deathly scared of pain. I'm immune to creepy crawlies of all kind, but threaten me with pain and I turn into the biggest coward ever. It's the same reason why I refuse to do braces, even though my teeth kind of curve in a weird way. I supposedly have to get them out sooner or later anyway, and sooner is apparently less painful than later.
Has anyone here extracted their wisdom teeth before? How badly does it hurt during/after?

when I took the picture I wasn't without make up. And I brushed my hair and everything :getlost:
There will never ever be a picture in the internet with me without make-up.Has anyone here extracted their wisdom teeth before? How badly does it hurt during/after?
The beautiful lie or the truth? choose wisely
My day was fucking exausting. 9hours of work. I have no fuckin tobacco left and my salary is still not there. I'm so fucked.
So this means I'm without a single cigarette for the next 30hours… I'll go crazy... My mood is sinking with every second... -

I signed up for an account at Blockbuster so I could hit on the manager/apply for a job and I got 2 weeks of free movies delivered to my door. Fuck yeah.

Watched "Do the Right Thing" in English class today. Weird-ass movie, I'm telling you.
On my way home from school there was a guy that wanted into my lane, so I let him, because I hate it when people don't let me over. The guy in front of him stopped and so did he, the guy in front of him started going again but stopped pretty quickly and the guy didn't have any time to stop, most likely because he wasn't paying attention, and hit him. That was kind of weird.
Getting psyched to watch the restored version of Metropolis on TCM this weekend. As well as getting the Blu-Ray the week after.

In class right now, learning how to make an annotated bibliography….for the 30th time in my school life. :getlost: Joy.

Wow, sometimes the World is really small.
This Morning I cashed up the customers as always.
Eventually a girl said to me: "Alice?" and smiled. I responded with a "..y-yes?" And my mind went crazy. I thought about on how many pages I'm registered with Alice or similiar nicknames and if I know someone, who lives here. (I only live here since oktober) But my mind was blank. She smiled even more and I asked her finally, from where she knows me. She was like " Animexx? unlocker?" (with unlocker I mean someone who unlocks fanarts on animexx.de. I don't know if there is a translation for this) And then it was fairly clear. On Animexx.de there are people, who unlock the fanarts that gets uploaded. She and I, we both do that there. So I finally knew who she was, but I was still surprised and confused because I always thought she lives somewhere else XD And I only saw her once one and a half year ago and now her haircolor is different. Ok, mine is, too, but she said, she was certain, when she saw my haircolor and my last name on my t-shirt XD~ Oh man, things like that always happen when you don't expect them xDOh and I buyed some cigarettes. I wanted a package of pink Pall Mall, and the seller was like "Pink like your hair?^^" .. well xD I told here, that I wanted them purple but it went wrong….
All in all it was a really good day even so my back hurts like crazy from 8 and a half hour standing and cashing up the customers.

Fire alarm just went off and now the whole dorm is being evacuated. Yipee~
Why am I here typing when there could be a possible fire? Trust me, there isn't. I'll update this later unless my computer or I am burned to a cinder.

Still having trouble getting over how gorgeous October was; though my favorite month has met its demise, it's still nice to know the advent of the first snow is creeping up upon the horizon.
School's been breezing by too.
I feel like it may be time to leave this forum. My posting frequency has decreased a lot over the past few months; might as well make it permanent.

Just fit in giant hiatuses, you can even synch it with Togashi. But don't leave permanently, that would be a shame.

Today I went to the library at my university to learn there, as usual. I was about to carry all my books and shit inside (you aren't allowed to bring any bags, obviously) when a girl started staring at me.
I saw from the corner of my eye that she looked at my ring binder which has - among other things - a picture of Hattori on it. I know, crazy, who would have thought.
By the time I looked up to ask her what she wanted, she said "Uhm, sorry, but I know that bird." - "… it's from One Piece." - "Ooooh, yeah, you're right! Now that you mention it...! So, you watch One Piece?"Too bad she didn't know his name, but just recognizing him was good enough. :D

Nope no fire, we were just evacuated into the cold for no reason as usual.
