Sooo, people are saying Best Wishes is basically a retcon. They said that Ash was 10, and apparently had problems catching a Pokemon. Fuck
Happens every series, nothing new.
Anyways, I updated my status.

@Badass:
Ash has always been ten. It's not like he's aged in the series.
Well, techniqly if you count the Pikachu short before movie 3, where he said it has been a year since Pikachu met him, which would make him 11.
If I recall correctly when he went for the 8th badge it was a year. Could be wrong though. Been a long time.
Classic comic book time. Like how Calvin remains eternally six years old. Years pass, but no one ages.

What Crossword said. It's basically also the same with shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy; it's to keep the characters from aging to keep the same appeal to future newer audiences that may jump in later on.
Pokemon has always been a series that starts off fresh but doesn't change too drastically to push away newcomers.
At least THIS time around they have an excuse for Pikachu being knocked back to level one. He got hit by a legendary and lost his electric attacks. Time to retrain from scratch!

Damn. Pikachu just can't seem to catch a break. If it were me I'd have dumped Ash's ass long ago.
so, flicking thru some black/white information, you have two rivals, it'd be p. freaking badass if you have a triple battle against t. plasma fighting along side your rivals
You dont…just sayin
So apparently, after all the hyping, 3 on 3 battles don't really occur all that much?
I Knew It!
Blasted Bloody !"#¤%!
I've never even had a "3vs3" battle.
Rotation Battles, yes, but not 3vs3.
Also, those are easier than 2vs2 because the opponent can't hit who they want. Unless they don't happen until later, I just finished the 8th gym and battled every possible trainer to the point I am in the game.
@RobbyBevard:
So apparently, after all the hyping, 3 on 3 battles don't really occur all that much?
Felt the same with 2 on 2 matches when they were introduced.
Thankfully they made Colosseum and XD which gave me my fill.
I've heard that Nintendo is trying to get Youtube to region-lock all Black and White-related videos to Japan only. WTF?
Probably the same reason they're getting websites to take down sprites and stuff.
It doesn't jive with their marketing plans to have the audience know whats coming 6 months in advance while they're still trying to sell copies of Gold and Silver.
Because like Capcom and Square hiding their footage and anti-hyping, they don't understand how hype actually works. Or any presentations made at Comicon that then dont get to the interweb despite being filmed.
Yeah Rupert didn't they ask Serrebii to take down all their images ?
Yeah… In which case Nintendo should have sent those notices out to the prominent websites weeks ago in a pre-emptive polite way, asking them to not put up sprites when the games came out, instead of after. Those things are on the net now, they're going to remain on the net.
Its not like bulbapedia or serebii came out of nowhere. They've been huge high traffic sites for years.
@RobbyBevard:

Actually, it's more of a retread of Pikachu's electricity going haywire back in Hoenn after a run-in with Team Rocket. :s
Even then, Pikachu still knows Iron Tail, Quick Attack and what not.
Yeah Rupert didn't they ask Serrebii to take down all their images ?
I discussed this with Joe (Serebii) and it turns out that Nintendo's turn on auto-response messages to people who've contacted them about this. It seems the main issue was that he and other sources were posting leaked images of Ken Sugimori's artwork of Pokemon that weren't revealed prior to the game's release.
Since then, they got really hardassed about what's allowed and what isn't. Apparently the person Joe contacted yesterday wouldn't even give him the time of day and said absolutely nothing was allowed, even while pitching the fact that everything else fell under "fair use." Though what's funny is that it's just Nintendo of America. Nintendo of Europe is apparently pissed with NoA over the whole thing.
@RobbyBevard:

Yup, you have some double battle with plasma one or two but I really dont remember a triple and I played the game two times already.
One thing thats funny is that the rotation battles in Black are triple battles in White, there are some trainers along the way that battle you in triple or rotation battles but its nothing that happens much, the first triple/rotation(like i said depends on the version) battle you get is a guy in the 4th gym city.
I haven't reached those battles yet, but it seems like it sounds like how Double Battles were hyped in 3rd Gen and there turned out to only be a few in Ru/Sa.
Hopefully we don't see a Wii game that has only Triple Battles/Rotation Battles.
So, I heard in Best wishes we've got
-Pikachu being reset again(but with a reasonable explanation)
-A serious Team Rocket(Ok, that's pretty good I guess)
-All of Team Rockets Pokemon(minus Meowth) being boxed at Team Rocket HQ
…..................Wobbuffet? NOOOO
Found some a youtuber with some wifi battles. And I now know why overconfidence was originally translated as earthquake spiral.
u0aHjk_ZQ9k
^^^Man, that looks awesome. The battle animations rock.
The animations are better than I imagined.

The first one is obvious as shit
Pikachu is a powerhouse..no matter how much he battles (remember the time that pikachu won against a dragonite ?..such epic)
he always go back to the start..(thank god that this don´t happen in the games ..^^)
a serious TR ? WTF..Why ?
and no wobby ?
come one..(I whanted to see james Cacnea evolving)
Croc looks he'll be so broken.
Now I'm hearing that Wargle is in both versions, just has a very low encounter rate in Black. No word on Washibon.
That croc's a monster, and it's going to be seeing a lot of use, I can say that.
That video looks really, really great.
The battle animations are amazing, and the new pokemon also
I've never been so hyped for a game since Brawl.
There has to be a drawback for that croc.
There just HAS to be. GameFreak was smart enough to give Garchomp and 4x weakness to Ice and give Wobbuffet shit stats, they have to have nerfed it somehow.

Team Rocket was useless since Kanto, anything diferent to refresh them is good… Cacnea was given to Gardenia in Shinno, Giovanni didnt let them take their pokemons because they would stand out to much and told them to catch pokemons from the region, Jessie has a Koromori already.
They will be back with the normal atitude next episode for sure, it was just the introduction, they will once again be the writers plot makers.

Its defense isn't miserable, but its not great either. And its 2x weak to water, grass, ice, fight and bug. Even being immune to electric and psychic, thats a lot of really common stuff to be weak to. 1/3 of all possible moves, practically. So if you can hit it with a proper move, it'll fall. And its stab bonused ground attacks can't hit fliers at all.
But yes, its absolutely a sweeping beast. Long as it goes first, it's crazy dangerous.
You guys think that's bad? Its Dream World Ability is "Anger Point." It takes one Critical Hit and it's Attack rating is instantly maxed. It has decent defenses, too, so it can take a couple of hits before taking a critical and then absolutely wrecking everything.
So why is Pikachu being reset again?
So why is Pikachu being reset again?
Well, he's basically reset for every new series. This time, though, he got attacked by a legendary and lost strength so his resetting actually makes some sense.

what legendary? How did this happen??
Oh and surprise surprise, he got that pidgeon birdy. Typical standard stuff. I can bet the Isshu league outcome will be the same as the last one.
I can bet the Isshu league outcome will be the same as the last one.
Hopefully OLM will adapt
! Team Plasma and N taking over the Pokemon League. It'll certainly be a better way to prevent Ash from winning a tournament than a guy with a team of Legendaries coming out of nowhere.
But seeing the anime's track record with that kind of stuff…
I'm right in front of the Elite 4.
The thing is, though, I've only ever trained 4 pokemon and they barely are hitting the levels of the Elite 4 so I'm not sure if I should just bring a lot of recovery items and go anyway or if I should try to train more (which is hard to do since you get less experience fighting pokemon that are lower levels than you are).
what legendary?
Zekrom.
How did this happen??
Zekrom passed by in a cloud and sent a huge thunderbolt down where pikachu just so happened to be standing.

Just fight the elite 4, and don't worry about healing. Sheer typing and using moves effectivley, and having multiple critters, should let you tough through at least the first guy, and gain experience.
Just make sure you spend ALL your money first, so you don't lose any when you lose.
If you get to the fourth guy and are doing well and it seems like you have a chance, then use heal items. Generally the last member is a large leap from the first four though.

Typo right? Either way, you get to choose in what order you want to fight the Elite Four this time around.
That and their pokemon's level are all 48~50 with a jump in level to the Champion.
You can fight them in any order you want to this time too. Kinda reminds me of the boss rematches in the Megaman games.

I haven't played the game. I was assuming from the last 14 iterations of the game there'd be 4 members, and then a "surprise" fifth.
And in my experience, its not worth using heals in battles. If you can;t survive 2 hits anyway, and if you can't plow through the first 4 with your team as is, with minimal attrition, the last guy will usually stomp you with ease, being much stronger than the first four. Heal if you're making good progress and think you have a chance against the champ. Otherwise, don't spend the money and items, just let them beat you, having gained whatever experience you got, then try them again. Easiest spot to level in the game usually.
A little bit different this time.
! After beating the E4 team team plasma crashes the party. N ends up defeating the champ first and it ends up you vs him (with you getting the cover legendary right before it) You don't get to face the champ until the E4 rematches.
Nice swerve .
Current situation in-game~
So, I beat the game and the story was really awesome (for a pokemon game). I love how the fake spoilers actually made the game better for me. The ones that said:
! That Bell was the champion. HA! When you beat the game and start back home and Cheren and Bell are talking to you Bell has no idea what you and Cheren are talking about. Cheren even makes a comment when she leaves that she's still taking things at her own pace. It was really awesome how the end cuts to the credits too
I really like that the main storyline ends but there is still a whole lot to do afterwards. I felt like there was something missing after beating Diamond when I found out I cleared every area in the game but needed to level up a ton of pokemon to get the evos logged. Even though I had a small selection of pokemon (and didn't get much of a personal attachment until the end) there is still plenty more for me to do…for now.
Oh, and I caught Reshiram with a premier ball as soon as the battle with him started.
Edit: those spoilers might not be fake....but I don't see why I'd need to beat the Elite 4 3 TIMES just to see all of the champions. Well, I'll know eventually.
Its fake dont worry lol.
You will see when you reabatle it.
Beat the third gym.
Totally digging my team and line up. Major improvement from Derp Gen.. I mean Gen 4.

NICE! XD those are the Pokemon i want for my party too except for maybe Yuniran. But i do want to train a Rankurusu eventually.
Forgot to mention this yesterday, Rocket Gang released their subs for the Best Wishes premiere special.
