This is disappointing and all, but I should probably mention something about the tongue thing. Within the tongue, and visible on its underside, are two, very noticeable blue arteries. These are the lingual arteries, which are branches of the external carotid. Now, I'm not going to go into anatomy, or vasculature, or anything about how the body works. But I am certain enough of us are versed in this sort of thing well enough to imagine what should be happening in the chapter's closing.
