@robbybedfart:
Rayleigh's presence on the island alone is enough to convince me that there wont be an AL invasion.
Because, even though the government doesn't know it, at this point, attacking the island would involve two warlords, Rayleigh, and Luffy himself, plus all the haki using warrior amazons. (not to mention th nests of seas kings and such) They'd need a significant force to deal with that, admirals and an armada of troops again. (Considering Rayleigh can deal with an admiral by himself.) Not to mention such a thing could ONLY end in failure from a story perspective.
To take the WG threat level down yet another notch? To escape basically the exact predicament they were just in? And for what? What does an attack on AL do as far as forward progress for the story? Show off the defeating of more fodder? Free up Hancock to join the strawhats? Make Luffy feel guilty for bringing destruction to an island was nice to him?
The possibility is there, but I'll take Garp and Rayleigh at their word that they have no idea where Luffy is, and that Hancock is a crazy impossible to guess situation.
Well lets say an attack does happen. You mention it quite well we have Luffy, two warlords, and Rayleigh. Lets forget the entire island of "fodder" as most seem to think Amazon Lily is without hancock.
I can't imagine if they did send an armada there that it would be near even close to big enough. Yet they would think it is clearly big enough. Now this armada sent gets whiped out with no word back, kind of like how all the ships dissapeared around whitebeard.
Now we have Sengoku sitting there going "omg, maybe Amazon Lily is a bigger force to reckon with than I thought" "this haki and calm belt is still too risky" ect. Which prevents him from further attack.
this all if hancock stays, if she leaves and joins luffy then sengoku would probably try again, though shakky and rayleigh both have personal connections to hancock so in essense its not improbable that he could stay or she comes to AL as well and set up shop/gamble there while protecting it. Then still same ol' sengoku becomes baffled at next attack being just whipped out. The whole rayleigh being a man may bring up an issue, but he does have ties with all top people in AL so could be exeption. And i seriously doubt if offered he could refuse. Would any of you refuse?
How about one question for you all?
Why did Oda introduce Sea Stone Coated ships?
Can you imagine us ever coating our ship and then LEAVING the grand line through calm belt? I don't see it, why would we do that?
So how does Sea Stone Coated marine ships pose any more of a threat to us than non sea stone coated ships if we are always just in grand line sailing waters. To me it seems like a pointless thing he brought up and totally un-needed.
Please tell me an example or something that makes these sea stone ships be relevent or affect the story at all?
Did Oda just invent this up in Water 7 so that he could make up amazon lily in calm belt and then have this "threat" Is that all the sea stone was made up for, to be an empty threat to amazon lily?
Cause I think we are all in agreement that we aren't going to backtrack, so if amazon lily is attacked it will be while we are here now and not later. So if there is no attack now, then its an empty threat that never came to be. Is that all the sea stone coating amounted to then, "an empty threat?"
