I actually like the fillers, more of the show to watch
I totally agree; I'll even go further and say the filler is the best part of the animation.
Still, there's good stuff and bad stuff.
At its worst Toei just takes advantage of the characters and exploits them by havin' them behave in certain ways Oda's expressed they wouldn't.

You do know that S31V hasn't come out yet, right? No one knows for sure if We Are is redone, but it most likely is.
S3 V1 = 144-156 - Ends in Skypiea when the SHs become criminals.
S3 V2 = 157-169 - Ends on the Episode where Wiper uses the Reject dial for the first time.They SHOULD change the Eng Version of We Are, they flat out said the one originally used was just a rushjob to get something up there before they did the real adaptation of the song that we heard Vic sing on the DVDs.
Y'know that got me thinking. Are they going to fix all the stuff from the TV dub, not just the name changes but possibly certain actors deliveries? Off the top of my head some differences should be:
-The name changes
-Luffy, Zoro, and Robin's lines:the formers had improved performances and the later because some of her lines were a little OOC.
-The dubbing of the "We Are" insert song.
-Added cursing and smoking
Not really a change but please, please Funi put some type of extra on the disc where the Strawhats sing "Family" in English.

We already saw Uncut Skypiea air in Australia after it stopped airing here, and there was plenty of Swearing, and Zoro was ZoRo. They just need to make sure none of the edited takes end up on the DVD.
Also, they've said several times and Mike reiterated when I interviewed him that they ARE redubbing some inconsistencies such as Robin's calling the crew by their names instead of their Jobs, and I HOPE Luffy's "Mystery" line when Chopper was treating cricket gets fixed, but they ARE working on that, so things should be just peachy when the time comes. The only thing you might notice is that since you're going back to the beginning (recording wise) some of the characters might sound a TAD different because you're going back to before some of them got to know their character. I didn't notice much difference between Sanji then and now, but lots of others seem to think Vale sounds much better now than he did then, so you might hear some differences in that performance for example.
Fortunately, this situation only affects the beginning of Skypiea. About a quarter of the way in, everyone falls rather nicely in line and sounds pretty much like they should.

That's good they are fixing some the inconsistencies i can definitely tell a different in their performances from then and now epsically, Robin, Luffy, & Zoro they seem more into their characters now

I totally agree, I like Stephanie's performance on the recent dvd alot better Robin then on the Australian TV versions i hope she re-did some of her parts

Makes you wonder why every last voyage have to be in so much limbos.(I.E: Not knowing about season 2 voyage 1 when 4th was announced; wondering if the robin episode would be on s2v6)
What I get from this, is that we'll get Season 4 a lot sooner than expected. I'm guessing a march or april release for the Foxy arc myself, so maybe around may we'll start Water 7~

It might be the fact that I want G8 to be in Season 3, but I don't think that post emits it from being in Season 3.
In question that they were only talking about Skypeia (and assuming sense Jaya can be lumped into Skypiea's overall arc) and the sets containing to it. So we could still get a Season 3 Voyaage 5.

I hope so, but i think by now they've figured out by now the G8 arc is a filler arc so they i'm thinking they might end Season 3 with another filler arc that being G8 but that's only my wishful thinking and as for the Widescreen issue, you would think they would start the season 4 in widescreen it would kind of throw people off to have most of season 3 in full screen the put it in widescreen towards the end

I find nothing wrong with people who've only followed the anime to say that. They are not aware of what is filler or not, and I find it completely tolerable for people to say such things. The concern here is not to know what is filler or not, but to know when fullscreen ends and widescreen begins. Also, the fact of Season 3 having only 4 voyages makes me uncomftrable because Season 2 had 7 voyages and Season1 4 voyages, and I for some reason find a disbalance between them. Perhaps it is just me, but I would've organized the seasons in a way for it to not look that it actually has filler. The fact that Season 2 is much longer compared to others could make some buyers not aware of things to think that it has more filler than the other Seasons. I would have ended Season 1 with the Warship arc, Season 2 with Robin's entrance in the crew, and Season 3 with G8. Sadly, FUNimation or Toei (whoever is making the order here), are dividing seasons by how 4Kids first inteded it to be, which was 2 seasons, and a 3rd season which is from the beginning of FUNi's dub.
I'm just worried we won't get widescreen episodes. :/
This worries me very much. i am hoping for them to find out about this before they release the Third Voyage of S3, and manage to organize some recordings and episodes to make S3 end with G8 so that S4 starts with widescreen resolution and perhaps the beginning of blu-ray releases.
As I understand, even if G8 was made a part of Season Four, the one or two widescreen episodes that would fill out the sets could still be encoded as anamorphic widescreen.

Even though that's good to know, it would still be somewhat discombobulating to have pretty much all the episodes on a disc be 4:3 then for them to switch to 16:9. Personally, as long as they can get the widescreen version, I'm all good, but you just know some people will complain that G8 was made a part of Season 4 and how that season should have been the starting point for the widescreen episodes.
For the OCD, I'm sure it can be annoying. While I would prefer G8 is set at volume 3.5, I can deal so long as all natively widescreen episodes are in uncropped anamorphic widescreen.

Clearly, the guy who runs the twitter account has a very different mentality to that of the MCM staff. The guy who headlines their staff at the event loves One Piece, even going so far as to admit one of his hobbies is "sending new offers to Toei Animation for the rights for One Piece and Dragon Ball Z". I remember his excitement when I showed him one of the Odex boxs a while back (Had gotten it the day before while in London so I just brought it along).
Either way, they need to hire a new guy for their twitter. He obviously doesn't care that much about the business or fans.

I know someone already said, but basically since the original Dragonball Z was in full screen, and Kai uses basically the same footage, it too is in full screen, but for some reason, I think in Japan all shows have to be in a widescreen format, it was cropped in Japan which is bad because it cuts out some of the video. And so anyway, long story short widescreen crops the action and full screen is the way it is meant to be for Kai, so full screen in this specific case is a good thing since it leaves the footage uncropped.
If fullscreen footage is turned inro widescreen footage nothing is cut out the picture is just stretched.
Thanks for the info guys, now…if only there were a way I could stretch the image. Sorry, I just don't like watching those two black columns on my screen. It makes me feel incomplete on the inside.

If you must have the incorrect aspect ratio, most/all Blu-ray players have those stretch and zoom functions built in.

Well for some reason my PS3 only has that function for DVDs, not Blu-rays. Btw, my apologies for wanting the incorrect aspect ratio, but like i said before, I hate those damned black columns. I accept that the problem lies in me, not you. >.>
