@Tommy:
Does 63 1/3 count?
Cuz I found that pretty enjoyable.
yep. that was the best of all the clay fighter games

Another game I like that was bashed by a lot of reviewers, Siren.
that rockman racing game
that rockman racing game
Battle and Chase? It's actually pretty decent from what I heard.
A lot of people seem to bash the Tokyo Xtreme Racer games because of the physics (cars tend to understeer a lot) but I think they're fun. Besides, once you get your suspension upgraded and body reinforcement you don't understeer as much.
I can't belive I forgot this one when the thread was originally at the top but
Chrono Cross, I know the fanbase is split heavily on this one and its not that widly hated, but I can't stand the reason for the hate, the fact that those who hate it compare it endlessly to CT until it can't stand on its own feet.
Great Soundtrack
Great EXP System, tactics over mindlessly leveling.
and I loved the story
great game
Seconded. I loved almost all of the 44(?) playable characters. Favorites being Grobyc, Sprigg, and Zoah.
Final Fantasy V, it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.
Oh and God Hand too, it was butchered by the reviewers, but the game delivers in almost all aspects. It's probably a bit too hard for a causal gamer, but it shoulden't be ignored just for that.
And Elvis is the best villain ever.
Chrono Cross's story got retarded near the end
and about half of the playable characters could've died and I wouldn'tve cared
Good game though
yeah too many were either forgetable or had no real reason for join, like Korcha's mom…..and about half the cast
Thank god Funguy and that faggot painter with the boomerang joined my party
Alright, I'll be honest. I only used about 5 of them always. Only one worse than Mel was Poshul.
Sad thing is I ended up using everyone in my file. I wanted everyone to get their best stats. Which took forever seeing as after every star you gained up until 99 I had to switch out constantly to make sure i didn't miss a stat-up. Really though it was a big waste of time though since after I finished I only used about 5-10 of the characters.
I wish they let you use more than 3 characters at a time
I mean Suikoden games have 108 (probably around 50-70 who are actually playable) and they're nice enough to allow 6 party members
I hate Chrono Trigger, so I never tried Chrono Cross.
@Cyringohn:
I hate Chrono Trigger, so I never tried Chrono Cross.
Yet another reason why I consider you beneath me.
Yea what can make you hate it.
I'm tired of Guitar Hero. Rock Band too. If yoou wanna play a guitar, stop wasting your time playing a video game. You actually have a chance to get rich if your actually good with a real guitar.
Jus sayin
Not that argument again.
A lot of critics really despised Kirby Air Ride, but I thought the game was fantastic. I don't really think I've had a funner time with a racer, imo.
Again? Haha if someone else said the exact same thing than it has to be true
Alot of people said that Mario Galaxy is the best game of all time, doesn't make it true tho.
And I'd wager that most people like Rock Band because it's…........fun to play perhaps. Not everybody's trying to master a real instrument, they just wanna kick back with their friends and have a good time. Not a big Rock Band fan myself, but I can see why people like it.
I just can't seem to understand why people can't let Guitar Hero & Rock Band fans have they're fun.

There's some things that don't make the best transitions in certain aspects
Kirby Air Ride was one of those them.
Yeah, it's fun and all. But I just dont really see the big deal.
But another game I cant stand is Gears of War. I dont like it because I suck at it….I dont like it because it's just too tedious for me. I mean in Halo you can pretty much turn things to your favor in a second, and well its just a lot more fun to play to me. Plus I hate the fanbase cause their all like, "HALO SUX! YOU NEED TO GET GEARZ"
If you wanna third person shooter game that'll kick you're ass hard try playing Rainbow Six Vegas or Ghost Recon 2.
And Halo fans ain't no different than Gear fans so it's not much to complain about there.
Rock Band I can understand why people enjoy. I can't imagine there being a 4 player game that isn't fun(though I'd play others over Rock Band myself).
I do hate guitar hero though

If you wanna get rich and famous, you should stop wasting your time posting on anime forums criticizing people who enjoy Guitar Hero and Rock Band and hit the books.

The Wave Race series. All of my friends seem to hate the series, but I like both Wave Race 64 and Wave Race Blue Storm and think they are fun to play.
Chaos Legion - I somehow enjoyed the hell out of it.
H.E.D.Z. - Same goes for this game.
Final Fantasy X-2 : I wasn't attracted to the characters or their outfits either. Outside of FFIX, and FFVI, my favorite FF.
Ephermal Phantasia: Did the time loop thing rather well. I'd say better than Majoria's mask. Demands level grinding and still is hard as fuck, but as a longtime Dragon Quest player I appreciate the challange.
Radiata Stories: Favorite game. Middle finger to all those who hate it.
Tales of Legendia: It was a fine game. Had it's ups and downs. Still a lot better than Symphonia. And Senel is kickass, despite his main character cliches.
Digimon World 1, 2, and 3: All required a fuckton of level grinding. 2 the most, 1 the least. Each were enjoyable in their own right. 1 pissed me off though, since my Digimon never hit ultimate level (until my friend got me HerculesKabutarimon) and they kept dying. It's super fun to have a shit filled town though.
Suikoden IV: It's easy to imagine why people get bored with the game, since it doesn't have a wow and eyecandy factor of other games. But the Suikoden series as a whole wasn't about that. Best appreciated if you're one of the fan core I guess. And probably the best main character exile I've seen thus far.
Edit:
Forgot Legaia 2 Duel Saga. Great game, underwhelming reviews. First time I maxed a level on a character. (That pirate chick <3)
Sky Gunner: Fun game. Good characters. Too bad it was so freaking short. Copain is the man.
Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I absolutely love Klonoa 2 for the PS2, but myself and one of my friends are the only people I know who like it much at all. The PS2 was the best system for platformers in the last generation, and Klonoa 2 was one of the best platformers for the PS2. But no one cares.

Fuck yeah, I loved that game too. Ps2 really was the best platformer console last gen. So many games were overlooked. I wonder why people always said GCN was the platformer console last gen. It didn't have many exclusive platformers. I guess it's more of the "OMG MARIO" factor.
Ironic considering what many people thought or rather didn't think of Sunshine.
@Sandai:
Ironic considering what many people thought or rather didn't think of Sunshine.
Well, Sunshine's… decent. It has some awesome sequences, but towards the end turns on the frustration dial a little too high and suffers from less-than-inspired design elements. But what SSM and I said is true - the PS2 had some incredible depth of good platformers. Regarding exclusives, you have the first three Jak games, the four Ratchet games, the first two Sly Cooper games (the third one kinda sucked) and Klonoa 2, plus some great platform-shared games like Viewtiful Joe, Rayman 2, and Psychonauts. That is some quality shit, all that.
I thought Psychonauts was only on xbox.
It was ported to Ps2 in the summer after it's Xbox release.
The more you know.

I want to add these 2 games to.. They are very underated. I dare say that of all suikoden games i liked the IV one the second best!
And Legaia was really fun to, it had such a fun battle system. I'm really hoping for a Legaia 3.
And was Radiata so underated? I don't get it.. for me it was one of the best rpgs i played on the ps2.
We seem to have quite the same taste So i might as well pickup ephemereal to.. Because that's one of the few ps2 rpg's that i never played.

Klonoa 2 was the first PS2 game I ever played…for the first three levels, then it froze and had to take it back to Blockbuster. But yeah, Klonoa 2 was very good. It's a damn shame the series is pretty much dead now. D:
Oh, and the first one was good, too.

People moaned and bitched on how you couldn't pick other people and disliked the awesome day and night system because they had to "wait" for the events to recruit characters. To me, that just made it feel like there was always something to do. And the game was pretty short. I'll give them that. It's still the most beautiful game I've ever played.
I just loved the secretly complex ally AI, and the characters.
….I have a horrible confession to make....
I liked FFX-2.......
I hated the goofiness of EVERYTHING. I wanted to shoot Brother in the face everytime he spoke. I wanted to mute the game every few minutes.....
But I loved "World of Real Emotion" and "1000 Words". And the combat... It was the first 3D FF that had a combat system CLOSE to FFV (my favorite FF). It just felt great to have one character with their own benefit instead of everyone sharing equal benefits. And Rikku's unrelenting happiness.
OTHERWISE....
X-Men Mutant Academy 1-2
Starfox Adventure and Assualt
Digimon World 1-3, DS, Dawn/Dusk
Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 and 2
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (I do think FFT is better though).
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
Soul Calibur 3 (Everyone compares it to SC1 and SC2. They call it a downgrade, and say the Create A Soul sucked. I'm sorry, I made some awesome characters with that thing.)
Sudeki (Most probably don't even know what this game is. :ermm:)
Mortal Kombat Mythology: SubZero (All the hate for the current MKs have buried this game where it doesn't belong, in the trash.)
Liking X2 isn't that big of shock I for one have no shame in admitting I liked the game.
Thus making you the wiser gamer. not sarcasm, dead serious Need to stop being ashamed of my fandoms. Most of them aren't that big of a deal.
The opposite of the "Games That Everybody Loves, but You Hate". Why? Cause love is good.
-Bayonetta (okay maybe not everyone, but a large portion of the western society).
-Final Fantasy X-2
-Silent Hill: Homecoming
-Resident Evil Outbreak series
-Classic Resident Evil in general (I miss tank control)
Halo

Lol .
Also Super Mario Sunshine and… Starfox Adventures.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh. Poor Halo.
and… Starfox Adventures.
Agreed.
Love is going way to far for this. More like I thought it was "o.k"
Don't kill me for this and I warn you:
! Shadow the Hedgehog
Everyone already knows I'm one of the gamers here that's more into the Western industry.. Besides your usual Nintendo, I guess.
The Conduit
Super Smash Bros Brawl? .
@ZeArmyOfHalen:
Also Super Mario Sunshine and… Starfox Adventures.
Mainly these two. To be honest, StarFox Adventures was the closest thing to a Zelda game I had for a long time, so it has a special place in my heart.
I also like playing StarFox Assault…even though it can be beaten in less than two hours.
@Insider2000:
-Classic Resident Evil in general (I miss tank control)
Wait, people hate Resident Evil 1-3?? Seriously?
@KzTxL7:
Don't kill me for this and I warn you:

You're not alone, my friend.
"Edit:"Oh, and Streets of SimCity and SimCopter. Most people don't even know they exist anyone, but the ones that do seem to hate it. I have no idea why. I used to love just driving around the cities, destroying buildings and police cars. Plus, they have bitchin' soundtracks.

…Also, Final Fantasy XIII.
