@omae:
You know what I like? HOW I WAS RIGHT about Oimo getting clobbered with Rocketman. I have to revel in my victories because there are so few.
Kudos Oda. He manages to use every character to their fullest no matter how small their role (Yokozuna).
And I'm crazy about all these villains being thrown in. I'll say it again, a battle this epic is what I expected for the finale. I can't imagine how Oda will wrap this series up.
wow…. when you said that last line, this amazing mental image just leapt at me.
I imagined Luffy going to face some big, final enemy at the end of the Grand Line, the marines right on his tail. Luffy just doing this big dynamic thing like "Don't stop now!!! We're nearly there!!"
Just when it looks like the marines will catch up, nearly every pirate in the series shows up (Ace, Blackbeard, Kuro, Buggy, Cricket, Smoker... nearly everyone Luffy's met) and start demolishing marines and ships left and right. Shanks, at the head of the fleet of outlaws, just sorta grins as he leaps onto the marines' lead ship. "Back off... the pirate king's got business to attend to..." Commense gigantic war.
Maybe it's just that i'm warming up to all these larger-scale (at least in numbers) fights in Water 7. And I feel surer than ever that the FF, Galley La leaders, and Franky are all going to join to man Luffy's huge new ship. After all, the Going Merry was pretty cramped for just the 7 of them... the only issue is that the FFs/Galley Las would have to stay in the back seat, never stealing the show from the main cast (among whom I think Franky will be. he just seems loads deeper than Pauley, sorry Paul fans).
