Not really. In the prelims multiple votes will be allowed. Meaning you can vote for as many characters in the match as you want to. It is heavily recommended though to vote for at max. 4 characters since the top 4 move forward while the remaining six get eliminated.
On a related note, I suggest that nobody votes for a tie during the preliminary round because in each preliminary match there will definitely only be four characters guys that will move forward to the first round. If we're having a tie that doesn't give us a clear top 4 we will have a system in place to determine the winners. So don't aim for a tie guys.
Oh wow, that changes everything. I was thinking how the fact that only the best 4 could be chosen, we were going to end up with one character getting all the votes and the rest of the nine characters fighting with a small amount of votes. Multiple voting sure fixed that though.
