Why didn't Jimbei just jump in the ocean and swim for it?
Fishman are supposed to be all speedy in water right? And Luffy is KO anyway so I doubt he'd really be affected..He could've just gone after Akainu and land in the ocean right there.

The thing is they only hear it and dont see it, so they can't really know how strong he is. I do think however we will get a Blackbeard vs a Yonkou battle in the future.

Last I checked, the ocean was frozen. I suppose he could have jumped in before it got frozen, but then he'd be frozen.

I'd really love to see BB with a cerberus fruit… i know somebody mentioned it already but meh i like the idea... i hope Oda doesn't pull a second moria with BB... he absorbs DF after DF and in the end he can't handle it and will loose against luffy cause of that...

originally i read the "not he, they" as luffy associating blackbeard with doc instinctually, meaning, blackbeard isnt alone, he has companions here, but now im thinking maybe its more odd than that, that blackbeard is more than one person…I think you are on to something. Luffy might have given a hint there that Blackbeard is not a single person but two in one. It would explain why he can consume 2 devil fruits.

Erm, well, when Bluekiji initially froze them waters, contrary to the size of the ice planet José threw, the water seemed to be nice and accessible right underneath the ice. I mean, even Ice Wench's snowplow ship was able to clear a path in the ice, so it shouldn't have been that thick. Does this matter at all? I don't know.

In fact, with the Shikibukai crumbling, he's be the part of the TWO GREAT POWERS. I don't think Mihawk/Doflamingo/PX-0 count anymore. In fact, we might see either / or both, resigning their titles soon!

The Plow King also easily runs through walls, as seen in the pic, and has a captain that claims it can bust through any kind of ice. I don't think thickness matters at all (in this case).
I think Jimbei doesn't want to take a bath, because it might affect Luffy. First things first he doesn't want him to drown with this open mouth of his and the unconscouisness and secondly a heavily wounded and exhausted Luffy wouldn't want to be weakened even further by the effects of seawater. Luffy is like raw egg right now.

I was thinking along the lines that the blanket covering Whitebeard and Blackbeard caused the two to be in complete darkness. Blackbeard's DF is darkness, so perhaps he needed to be in darkness for him to extract the DF power from Whiteheard?

That's actually a really good thought - but then, seeing as Blackbeard has the power of darkness, couldn't he just use his own ability to shroud themselves? I think the blanket was just Blackbeard being a showman, adding a theatrical touch

look at the discussion a few pages before. The "he" and "they" is emphasized in the japanese, it could be a hint. But we all could just overinterpretating it.
Its like writing the "He" and "they" in italic(thx to waytoo for pointing it out and explain it).It can say "they" as for teach being more then one, but also refering to his crew.
So i wouldnt scream "proof" before we have all the facts together. It also could just mean to highlight that teach had a crew they met outside, and zorro and Ruffy knew they belonged to BB.

helloooo there is none of his crew anywhere near, and from luffy we know that sometimes he just "knows" the truth. We know he has really really good instinkts. So yes it was a really good hint.
