I recorded Movie 10 footage but I don't want it getting out or spreading around because:
1. It's illegal.
2. No it's really, really illegal.
3. Holy shit it's illegal.And since we have Japanese lurkers and leechers here that are prone to posting shit in 2ch, I devised a difficut way of allowing members to see the movie which sucks but I have no choice in order to protect myself. Hopefully by the time movie buzz has calmed down, I'll be able to make it publicly available for a VERY short time for everyone here. Of course, if a TS comes out then there's no need for these shenanigans.

While I do admit I tried to play Conan Edogawa to figure this out maybe we should drop all this discussion on decoding Greg's message and move on to other things about the movie. I'm not sure about America, but according to ANN when people upload stuff like anime there are SERIOUS consequences. Greg could possibly lose his job, and/or get deported or possibly worse.I mean, c'mon, we seriously can't wait a few scant months for the DVD release when everybody and their sister is going to fansub it to death since it is part of the holy Jump trinity?! I guess I don't understand why it's even worth the risk to be so bold as to attempt to tape the movie.
I'm far more focused on the weekly simulcast and the upcoming big manga catch up. If there's going to be a leak, then there's going to be a leak. I just don't want one of our main contributing members to put his own ass on the line because we could lose him, his very informative website (whichneedstobeupdated), as well as get other members in trouble.
Just my stance on all this,

Same here actually. No offense to all the efforts and risks of imprisonment Greg incurred but I'm not interested in seeing a poorish quality of untranslated twenty minutes from the best movie ever made. Especially since I'm such a completionist(that's the term right?) and perfectionist (when it comes to enjoyment).
Kinda tickles me though that I know something that so many people are whining about:P

Mostly its cause I've learned patience by my old age of 27, its pretty rare that I must see movies immediatley in the theatre anymore, (especially with ticket prices being 10$ a pop now, ugh. I can wait six months and own the dvd for 7$.) let alone partial bootlegs.
Big props and appreciation to Greg and his efforts all the same, however.

I dunno. I don't think it was humor, but a pretty damn good piece of life advice. You shouldn't write it off as sarcasm so quickly, and instead heed those sage words.

The movies are still 'up'. I just need to be here to manage the progress when I open them and I like to have a nice hour or two hour block when I open them up.
And, (I figured this into my idea originally which is why I made the hint so exclusive) but it seems that word is already spreading to people who couldn't figure out where to look based on the hint.
Next time I have a block of free time to sit in front of my comp and manage the distribution, I will open requests again.

As Greg already said, multiple times, he's taking a big risk doing this because its incredibly illegal and he's worried about random japanese lurkers getting him into a lot of trouble, with the law.
Its incredibly generous for him to have taken footage at all, and go through all this effort and risk for us, but its also incredbily understandable that he takes heavy precautions and keep itas contained as possible.
And if you don't understand the riddle of mammories, italian food and My Little Pony, you don't have to be a google-Guru, the answer is available to all Arlong Park visitors, you just have to believe it and look a bit.
