The problem is, either Luffy makes some big difference where WB, Marco, Joz and the whole pirate army failed to, which will be really quite stupid, or he just gets bitch-slapped back down again by an Admiral, Garp or maybe even Sengoku. OR some other guy/secret plan turns up. Either way it'll be interesting to see if Luffy's rejuvenation will be cleverly managed by Oda or just turned into some plothax "Luffy saves the day" moment.

Based on the past, we should have a chapter next week, but then the chapter after that won't come out for another 3 weeks.

That actually sounds both pretty cool and quite believable - though I'd bet that WB will only seem dead and will come back later on, alive but maybe weakened to the point of being out of the running for PK.

Highly doubt Luffy is gonna hit the ground again so soon.

I haven't read the chapter entirely, but from the spoilers… I didn't need the bit with Buggy. :getlost:
Other things, I'm just a little disappointed with the classic Oda formula right now. Unless of course this isn't the classic Oda formula in which it looks like it's all doom for our "good" guys and the "bad" guys are winning. I really wanted to see WB dominating a little more, but perhaps after Luffy's final interference, WB will push himself and we'll get to see something great.
Marco and Joz are definitely fine. And I agree with the person who said that we need to see the Admirals sweating. It's already bad enough that they're logia users, so it's near impossible for the average person to do anything to them, so I'm wanting to see the people who are supposedly capable of dealing with logia users deal with them. Small request IMO.
I'm also waiting to see what Squad will do, b/c it'd be lame if Squad doesn't do something to make up for his betrayal.
Now i'm off to read the chapter

It would also be stupid to have Luffy as a punch bag over and over (at least after this chapter) and Luffy can actually make a diference by just being able to hit and fight an Admiral (fight, defeat one is out of question) right now WB just need to be the one to confront Garp and Sengoku and let Ace completely unguarded.

My stupid prediction:
Ivankov gives Whitebeard some hormones so that he can fight a bit more. Seeing Whitebeard in this condition right now leads me to believe that he can't fight worth a shit vs anyone notable… unless he gets a senzu bean.

I'm wondering why Garp is feeling torn apart. He must understand Ace's will to live, which makes me wonder if he'll allow for anyone to execute Ace.
I'm surprised that Jozu and Marco were caught off guard… Wow, I didn't expect anyone to pierce Marco with haki.
And finally Luffy... I hope he doesn't do something that will make him on par with the Admirals yet. I just hope through some lucky event, he will somehow take advantage of the situation where he can free Ace quickly. I don't want him punching people with Haki yet. If he exerts his Haki making Marines fall unconscious, then fine... But that's it.

So it's the real full chapter afterall…
Tell you what, for a 14-page chapter, that was pretty satisfying. I have to admit I was unimpressed by the spoilers, but reading the scanlation actually took away that impression and made me like the chapter more. Ace's flashback was more moving than I thought. I certainly liked this development alot.
But man, the WB pirates are in deep shit. What will you do now, Luffy?
Oh, and Akainu's hellhound is fucking badass.

Overall a mediocre chapter not the best not the worst. I just hope luffy is not strong enough to save every one. I don't want Luffy to be the big savior in this arc. He should just go and save Ace
No updates on Croc V Donfla. Akainu is so cool, easily becoming one of my favorite characters.

Great chapter, but short.
Few things:
I hate to see Luffy jeopardize his life, but it's good to see him back in action after we all considered him down for the count last week. It's touching to see that Luffy is giving his all for Ace, and how if Ace dies, that'd make him want to die. It kinda confirms that Ace won't die now, ne?
Hooray for more of Ace's backstory! i really like that he tried to find out more about his dad and how upset he got when the townspeople badmouthed him. Poor Ace, throughout his life, it's been pounded into him over and over that his dad was an awful man, trash, etc. It's no wonder then that Ace has such a low opinion of him. He needs to meet more people from Roger's crew who can attest how great of a man/pirate Roger was. I know he's met Shanks, but I doubt Ace knew that Shanks was part of his father's crew. Ace needs to meet Rayleigh ._.
Also, that panel of Ace crying ;_; Don't cry anymore, Ace. little bro is gonna free you, and then you can kick-ass and save your bro, crewmembers and Oyaji! wishes this to happen
Ooh, and Buggy's back. He's gonna do something… maybe resume filming the war to Sabaody or something else?
Also, Akainu is evil. The admirals are really starting to piss me off... even Aokiji.
Really looks like Whitebeard's gonna die after this war. Stab wound + old age + Akainu's attack... Noo ;_;
Looks like Marco also got hurt by Kizaru's attack. So I guess his mythical zoan DF does not make him invulnerable to attacks like logia DF users.

Marco was hit with a laser beam, not with Haki.
Also, it seems that guy who was partly turned to stone by Hancock is still very much alive & kicking next to Joz.

The moment the New World pirates showed up, I assumed it was over kill, and how could the White Beard alliance lose? But good god, so far it has just seemed so one sided. As far as the main guys shown fighting goes. If 3 guys can just run off with Luffy capable of dealing with a Logia and keeping Garp and Sengoku a bay for just a sec, Luffy will be able to do something. If he can just unlock Ace then maybe he can fir ball some Marines and get the heck out of there.
It really didn't seem like 14 pages. Can't wait for Buggy to screw up his plan only to make it even more affective hahaha.

First post here, been lurking AP for some time now.
Awesome chapter, a lot of stuff happend which makes me want to post a theory i have had for a while now.
Luffy will make it on to the stage and free ace with the key. At that time Sengoku or Garp will need to interfere. Ever since the war started i've been thinking about Garp and how he would react if both Ace and Luffy were about to be killed. When I keep thinking about this i somehow always come to the conclusion that Garp is going to end up saving luffy and Ace and betraying the marines and Sengoku.

What's to misinterpret? He's pretty much saying that if Ace is executed while he's layed out (as in unable to fight) then he'll be depressed. I only say "emo Luffy" (notice in quotation marks) because a lot of people throw the word around a ton (like saying Ace is being emo and whiny) so by their definition, I'd assume that a mourning Luffy would be dubbed emo. Congrats on still being in the camp that's sans common sense.

The new mangastream seems really nice fat and good quality.
Aces backstory was nice, i showed why ace hated gold roger and refused to acknowledge him as his father.
Good thing there wasent any haki aura like some people though:getlost:and it looks like luffy will be able to make progress since every one of the admirals has someone to deal with.
It was a good chapter although a bit short.(understandable since he had to take of the movie as well. -
