Nah. Levy x Lucy.

What were we talking about again? -
Why Mashima insists on making Gerard the Sasuke of Fairy Tail
-
This weeks episode was pretty funny to me, but you know they had to throw in a recycled scene in there or it wouldn't be complete.
As for the lastest chapter its fine if you're sad but Erza is taking it to the extreme. I hope next arc will be something not related to Gerald. maybe with Luxus and His father.
-
A Gerard Rescue arc would be cool if Natsu, Erza, Lucy and Gray while trying to rescue him get captured and all the others Fairy Tail members go save them and become the main characters of the arc.
-
this chapter was shit.. the end.
-
lol Fairy Tail, just end this arc badly like the last two and it'll be as bad as Naruto.
Just read the chapter, it's there.
!
-
I have to agree that the chapter was terrible.
You know, I just realized something. Gerard was a lot more tolerable and cooler when he was just a behind-the-scenes character still known as Siegrain. If he had remained that way, he would've been more interesting. Now, he's just a cousin Oliver.

Well, it at least looks like the next episode of Fairy Tail will have original animation for Natsu's attacks… If the preview is any indication.
-
I wonder if there fight will have fluid movement or stand still movement like in the eligor fight.
-
Why would they move?
We would'nt see any of that fantastic, recylced, dragon amination jargon every 10 seconds.
Or Erza doing a sailor moon -

FT chapter 98
lol seems like short answers are not welcome hereNo, I don't have a problem with you dislking the series, I have a problem with people saying a series sucks because of a Shonen Cliche. Honestly, every Shonen series comes with random power-ups. That's part of the genre. If you're going to complain because of that, you shouldn't read shonen at all.

i dont remember saying i dislike the whole series
but it sure got worse during last arc
it sure is good to have power up for the protagonist once in a while, but does it have to be always related to eating some sick shit and does it always have to be temporary?
first he had to simply eat fire, next he ate aterion and now some spellfire
i could believe it was a good move once, but not three times
its only logical to assume next time he ll have to eat some explosives lol
and yes, last chapter was pathetic, i dont read FT coz i wanna see girls crying -

Complaining about signature traits like that appearing again and again is kinda silly since that's exactly what signature traits are supposed to do.

And during those fights he uses moves he never uses again. That's just part of his Shtick. Natsu, in comparison, eats and uses fire. It's what he does to attack. It was established way back in the first chapter against Salamander that he eats fire to get strength. You don't complain about Franky drinking cola to get power, so why complain about this?
As for the temporary effect, Food digests. Fires extinguish. It's logical, therefore, that it's going to wear off over time.
And even One Piece has girls crying, in almost every Arc no less. East Blue had Nami, Arabasta had Vivi, Skypeia had Conis, Water 7 - Enies Lobby had Robin… so on and so forth. And before you talk about how it's out of character for Elsa, look at Robin. Prior to the reveal of her past, she had been established as a cold, hardline assassin with a 79,000,000 bounty at a young age. A character like that would also be out of character crying.
It's fine that you don't like the chapter, but don't even try to say that any of this is exclusive to Fairy Tail.

Yeah, for shame, Oda, for shame. Why did you forget moves like Axe, Storm or Jet Gatling.

Did I say every move? No, I said there are some moves that he never uses again. When's the last time he used Volcano, Fireworks, Ally Robo, Golden Peony (Granted, he can't, but that's irrelevant), Finger Net, or Bell?

maybe so, bu frankly speaking fight against luxus was far more interesting IMO even though natsu could have eaten say gazziles steelfire that time
and yes, im aware its an important part of Natsu's overall fighting style, but cmon, its overused already and seeing last chapters i think we ll see it not once or twice in the future, this is getting predictable when there are so many possibilities to make power up in a different way@Fire Fist:

we are talking about FT here, not OP, id like to think FT is different and Mashima wont copy Oda more and more as the story goes
also eating fire is different from stretching coz if eating is a part of natsus fighting stile stretching is what luffys fighting stile actually is
if we are to compare then stretching=using fire not just eating it
the problem about natsu vs zero fight is that i can see how it couldve gone without that stupid flame of rebuke but mashima just keeps repeating over and over again
concerning the crying girls topic: this last chapter was stupid from the first page, i literally felt something is wrong with where the whole story is going, and to end it with tears is the the worst decision IMO
cant even compare it to the fabulous robins flashback or namis story
and if mashima is gonna do what i think his gonna do (fucking rescue fucking gerard arc) then those tears are even more pathetic and unnecessary -
@Fire Fist:

No, you didn't specify.
@Fire Fist:
When's the last time he used Volcano, Fireworks, Ally Robo, Golden Peony (Granted, he can't, but that's irrelevant), Finger Net, or Bell?
Net and Bell were used more than during one arc. Others didn't.
Though the point is, Luffy has many attacks, some of which depend on the enviroment, situation and enemy. Luffy via oda reuses them when it is needed to, when it fits the moment. Some of them are so specific, that we won't ever see them again. And this is all due to Luffy's fighting style, not any outside force ( except shadows which didn't accomplish anything, really ).But yeah, offtopic.

Yo there are niggas who are like, y'know, evil in One Piece and Fairy Tail.
….It's like, damn, the similarities between these series are fuckin endless, dude. We should take time out to make more comparisions.

I know I'm probably really late in saying this, but I just saw the new episode of the anime and I noticed that Gerard looks more like himself in the opening now!
-

my point is that eating fire is overused coz its not natsus one and only power and this is just getting boring to know that the only way to defeat villain for him is to eat something
i dont like knowing how will future fights go especially in FT coz its meant to be unpredictable
its like knowing for sure that luffy will defeat villains only with haki -
natsu eats fire OM NOM NOM NOM NOM

its like knowing for sure that luffy will defeat villains only with hakiI know it's difficult to comprehend why a fire mage would use fire attacks, but try your best. If his opponent is stronger, and he has the ability to gain more power to defeat him via eating fire (which was established as his energy), then he is going to do just that.
Maybe he can go train in an alternate dimension or just get twice as strong from losing a fight (BLEACH).
Luffy defeats opponents by physical attacks, going into gear second and gear third for some variety. I bet you this happens in the next fight he wins as well. But that doesn't stop you from watching it?
It's fine to not like a series, but don't try to justify it with an illogical and hypocritical argument.
-
The anime is already at the start of the garuna island arc, it's really going at a quick pace. I usually complain about animes streching things out too long but this series is the opposite, it would'nt hurt to slow it down just a bit otherwise it will catch up to the manga too quickly and may have to pull a Naruto with fillers.
On the plus side the arc coming up is my favourite one in the series so looking forward to it. It seems we'll get to see the villains and the villagers in the next episode. I enjoyed most of these characters in the story, hopefully the animation of them does justice to thier characters. -

i like FT lol
if i didnt i wouldnt be here complaining
i dont like that it is getting boring
i hope when you see natsu eating fire over 9000 times you will understand -
was there a chapter this week?
-

Pretty much every anime starts like that.
Then it finishes prematurely or get stucked in filler hell, as you said. -
Just got done watching Episode 10 and I really did like how erza and natsu's fight panned out, the only re-used animation was erza putting on her armor. Seeing Mist Gun and Luxus made this episode…well seem's like episode 11 is the start of Garuna Island a decent arc the next one is practically everyone's favorite.
-
was there a chapter this week?
Last week was a double issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, so there aren't any chapters for any series from that magazine this week.

Oh NO!!! What's going to become of Gerard? How much further will Mashima degrade his story for this deus ex machina on legs? What other zany misadventures are in store for the talking cat?
Can't wait…..must know......Graggghh!!! -
Chapter's out on MangaStream, and goddamnit is all I have to say about it.
-
One question, were they wearing fake clothes???
-
Why don't they just change it to Dragon Tail already? Cause that's where this is headed… first Natsu, then Gazille, now Wendy...
-
Just finished reading the manga. One thing I kinda like about this series is that some of the comedic character quirks actually have an explanation. Like Gray's stripping or the Elfman-phrases about being a man. Besides that, it's pretty average. The latest arc suffered from serious lack of build-up. Some pretty cool designs though, even if some of them seems like rip-offs.
-
I liked cait shelter's ""head master"". I just thought it was really cool that he made up an entire guild just to make a little girl happy.
As for wendy going to fairy tail, honestly saw that coming but she could of easily went with blue pegasus or Lamia Scale first.
-
Guess that at least gives a reasonable explanation on why Cait Shelter only sent Wendy:/
-
Wendy joining Fairy Tail was pretty obvious, but Cait Shelter consisting only of spirits or one spirit was pretty unforeseen. And that one geezer giving Wendy a real shelter in a fake world is pretty touching (tho its the other way round).
Yes, it does explain why only Wendy and Charle were sent and it also explains why they didn't/couldn't destroy Nirvana themselves.
All in all an ok chapter within a pretty bad arc. -
That wasnt bad..no Gerard rescue arc for now.
-
The best things this arc had were opening and ending chapters.
And Richard. Now let's move on with Dragon Tail.
