@GiantGuy:
It hasn't even taken half as long as the Alabasta war… And this is a war on a much bigger scale. Seeing how world-shaking an event it is, it would be bad story writing to end it in the next 5-10 chapters.
Eh, I was fortunate enough to start OP once it had already passed Alabasta, so I never really got a grasp of how "long" it was. Nevertheless, it's the lack of SH which makes this feel worse. Those characters and their interactions are just awesome. And we actually had fights in that. Not one chapter skirmishes, where no opponent clearly defeated the other.
@LightningAce:
So what? Just sit back and enjoy it. You can certainly bet your life on it, that there will be more wtf? moments and surprise plot twists and someone getting epically owned in the chapters to come. I was dying for this "big incident" to happen ever since the end of the Ace vs Blackbeard fight. Its happenin and I'm absolutely lovin it to bits.
Well, I was excited in the beginning, but I was much more hopeful to just see the plot advance than see every single fight in the war. I enjoy all the cool moments to begin this war, but it's slowly beginning to lose its flare. This chapter was intriguing, but I just want Ace/WB to die already, BB to return, and the world to be turned upside down. I'm looking much more into the results of the war than the war itself.
But that's just me
