like movie 8 and 9? i don't know i thought it would be cool. Of course a bunch would be cut like movie 8. But what i like about movie 8 is that i could watch the whole arc in an hour and a half or so, instead of the hours and hours worth of episodes. Seeing as Enies Lobby is longer in episodes, i would like a movie for it too. Anyone else agree?
Does anyone else want a movie adaptation of Enies Lobby Arc?

Enies Lobby could be condensed nicely into a cool fight flick, sure.
-
Thriller Bark would be cooler.
-
Well if it were done like Movie 8 it wouldn't be a good movie, just Enies Lobby in an hour and a half. If that's what floats your boat, sure.
-
don't you even know I would be all over that movie like bad cosplayers at an anime convention.
that means I would like it.
-
How about they make, I don't know… ORIGINAL movies  ? I guess Enies Lobby could work with a movie but all the arcs in OP work better if you've watched the arcs before them. I'd like to see others along the lines of movies 1-7 instead of arcs remade as movies.

I think EL would be too long for a movie. Alabasta was too long and EL is not understandable without some W7 flashbacks. Plus all the fighting and Robins flashback Merrys Funeral…. where to end and where to start?
-
No. Not really. I'd rather just watch a new story instead. For movie 8 they had to cut Rainbase which was my favorite part of the whole arc, and the 'what if?' factor in movie 9 was cool cause then Franky got to be in it, but then I got the 'this just doesn't fit' feeling that I got with movie 3.

No.more.adaptations.please.
-
I would rather a boxset with the EL arc with all the filler, recaps(that were not in the manga) and drag extentions(scenes specifically used to drag an episode) deleted. Kinda like DBZ Kai… That would be beter than wasting animation budget of a vague retelling(though Movie 9 was good)

Arlong park arc into a movie.
Epic pwn. & It's not that long too. -
Oooo i like arlong park arc idea.
I guess EL would be too long to condense.
And i definitely wouldn't want the what if thing, even though movie 9 was amazing
dbz kai type thing would be nice though one day -
So much stuff would have to be removed to make a movie abut EL , unless ud make it to like 2-4 different parts.

Actually if they were ever to make a Live action movie of One Piece at the moment EL would be their best bet.
It can be summed up easily enough to allow for those unaware of the situation to become familiar with it in the 3 acts movies allow. How it could be done is the first act starts with Luffy fighting Bruno on the Roof in the opening sequence - between the fight they have flashbacks to key points in the Water 7 arc leading them to this point take about 10 - 15 mins including the fight.
Once Bruno is defeated they all arrive on the roof and do the walk to points on the roof opposite EL where Franky and Robin are being held. There they have Luffy fighting with making Robin accept that she is part of the crew. That moment like the series can be used to give small flashbacks to how the crew formed, another probably 20 - 30 mins that being the lead into Act 2.Unfortunatly if it is live action there would need to be several changes to the EL arc, some things would not work as live action no matter how much budget you have you can't just throw money at something to make it look plausible. The look of some of the characters even as CG wouldn't go well with the flow of a movie.
Kaku probably wouldn't be able to use his Giraffe ability since using it would really break the flow and look too out of place - when you're dealing with people who know nothing of the OP universe (if it was made in Hollywood) there is only so much people would be willing to cope with before they would find it too silly and lets be honest a sword wielding half man half Giraffe that is square shaped would probably not get the ok from a studio head.
Any how brief interruptions aside moving on once the crew is inside EL they have moved into Act 3 which is where the movie has to start to finish up All fight scenes are able to be done but would be cut down and not follow the same flow.
Choppers Rumble can be explained although Chopper himself would look so weird as full CGI O.o but there is no way they could do it without him.
Ussop and Zorro being Handcuffed together might have to be lost to having Ussop disappear only to have been heading to the roof the whole time.
Sanji fighting the Wolf(whose name escapes me)
Nami fighting the Blonde (again forgot the name)
Once their fights are done they start heading towards the Gates of Justice, where Luffy has been heading the whole time with Franky.
They get stopped by Lucci and thats the point where they can spend at least 10 mins having that fight scene before the defeat. Which is a long time for most movies to spend if you compare to other ones. With the remaining time spent having everyone caught up with Robin and freeing her to them rejoining Merry on the boat. The only thing I can not figure is if Merry should meet it's fate there too :( it would be moving but to be honest I don't know if any scene could do it Justice from our minds.
Anyhow thats my 20 mins of random musings as I am not writing the screenplay for it thats more of a pre - pre storyboard proposal. The sort of thing you get in a writers meeting where people sit around a table and say ok hows this.

or, you know, you can take everything you said and Not make it live action. then you can include all the non plausible live action stuff. and it wouldn't blow shit balls cause it would be animated.
-
If they're able to summarize it in a way that makes sense and not like that slideshow that was the Alabasta movie, then I'd so buy it/torrent it/whatever.
