Don't even get me started. Fuck those little wall climber things.
If it wasn't for ridiculously awesome stuff like Chyyka and Quadraxis (the latter probably being my favorite boss fight ever), Echoes might have been bad.

Seven Force (Gunstar Heroes)
You're in a mincart speeding along when the words BOSS APPROACHING flash on the screen and you're all like "I can take him" The name Seven Force comes up and as you get ready and your first opponent, a giant green robot, appears and gives chase. He tosses boomerangs, bombs, can extend his arm and tip over you rather akwardly. He isn't that hard but he will do some damage.
After you destroy him you enter a vertically scrolling section and he transforms into a blue eagle with a new health bar and you stare at the screen in dismay. He climbs up at you while jerking about clunkily at different angles. It's almost impossible to dodge all of his attacks yet when you've pinned down his movements it's not so hard.
After the eagle's dead he gets a new healthbar and becomes a giant levitating golden handgun that spins around and fires at you. This guy is rediculously easy as not only can you easily dodge all of the attacks, he also has to reload every now and again so the handgun is no trouble.
Then after that's all done, you end up in another vertical section, the boss has a new healthbar and is now a purple sea urchin. He hangs around at the top bouncing back and forth until he picks a side and becomes a buzzsaw, going down the side a cutting it up. You will almost always get hit. When his health is getting low, he will begin to shoot balls of light instead.
You must then fight it again, having rejuvinated itself and turned into a red wall that fires bombs, balls of light and smaller walls. Thos can all be destroyed with but one bullet, but buy this point your health has been run down so much that you're just screwed. While you're trying to shoot a ball of light, a wall can hit you easily. I have never gotten past the wall stage.
Sephiroth from KH2.
nuff said.
Wow, are you serious?
-Has defeated Sephiroth with shitty Keyblades from the beginning of the game-
The Potato King from Keen Dreams. End of discussion.

He was way more difficult in KH1. I think he was pretty easy in KH2

speaking of KH2,the one of the 13 guys you find in Beasts castle in the 2nd half of the game where you go back to each level.
the guy is absolutely impossible,IMO,to defeat, even usuing valor or the other 2 modes
last boss in Quake 3 on hardest difficulty…
as soon as he gets the railgun you dont even get time to aim anymore.
He was way more difficult in KH1. I think he was pretty easy in KH2
i agree, in kh1 i didn't even know how to get close to him, but in kh2 it only took me 2 tries
He was easy in KH1 too. Strike Raid [or whichever ability that allowed you to through the Keyblade over and over again] made you completely invincible, so.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon- The Zombie Dragon was insane. It would fire a laser at you, shoot you with a bunch of simultaneous fireballs, it had very high HP, and (if my memory's correct) if you touch it, you'd get poisoned. And the worst part…there was two of 'em! Meaning you had two simultaneous attacks flying at you all the time, and when one of them finally died, the surviving one would start eating the other's corpse and regain HP.
Also from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon- Death. In every game, Death is supposed to be a real bitch to beat, but in this one…whoo boy!! In addition to the small scythes flying everywhere, he got really tough in his second form, a sort of skeletal scorpion. He would body slam the ground and it would paralyze you. That one took me a while to beat.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories- Vexen was a real pain in my ass with his attack that would make a track of ice spikes that follow you while your running away from him. And then Riku Replica with his inescapable Dark Aura attack…unless you have a bunch of Zero Cards, then these guys were relatively easy to take out.
Kingdom Hearts II- Xaldin in any mode was a bitch, and Xemnas in Proud Mode, where he was almost three times as hard to kill. His attacks took off about twice as much HP as they do normally.
I can't think of any more. If I do, I'll post 'em!
He was way more difficult in KH1. I think he was pretty easy in KH2
I actually believe the opposite.Once you have strike raid and mp rage you can destroy him in your first try. I had a much harder time in kh2
btw kh is an overated game
This is just god damn insane.
I can't even tell what's going on due to that terrible YouTube quality.

This guy was pretty nasty. I think he's the hardest boss in the game. So I use the DSS glitch to become a skeleton and PWN him in one go. It helps, but he's still tough.
So I was playing MegaMan X6 the other day, and realized that Infinity Mijinion is the craziest motherfucker ever. He clones himself when you hit him, and all of them throw crap at you in a huge spaced out barrage so you can't not get hit. He's not too difficult if you keep track of the real one, but if you don't… Damn, it's insane.

its one of those scrolling games where you manuver the ship to avoid enemy fire (as well as shoot enemies and collect powerups)
all that purple on the screen? enemy boss fire. theres virtually no place to hide/avoid fire at some points… luckily he seem to have a special that wipes all weponfire off the screen.
(the blue stuff is player fire)
Almost all of those patterns can be dodged by carefully maneuvering the central hitbox of the ship between the enemy fire.
he seems to be getting trapped a few times with nowhere to go though. but that could possibly be because of the YouTube quality outlawz speak about.

I didn't even know there was such a glitch at the time I was playing it. I wasn't even using an FAQ (I still don't for Castlevania games). I had the toughest time in hell fighting both of them, and if I knew about this glitch at all…damn, that would'a saved me some years...and some hairs on my head.
this is the guy in KHII I was talking about:Xaldin
I am starting to agree on sephiroth though…any boss that can take 3/4 of the HP in 1 strike is deemed one of the hardest bosses to defeat
Xaldin is such a pansy. Learn, Guard, and Reflect kill him easily.
The final boss of the Legend of Dragoon, Melba Frahmu I think his name was, is one tough sonovabitch. Took a seriously long period of time to beat him my first time through but afterwards he wasn't as hard but was still tedious as all hell.

The only boss in KH II that actually killed me was Xigbar. And that was before I learned how insanely easy it is to dodge that special attack of his.
Then again, I never fought Sephiroth because I didn't really want to see more of him..
Sadly, I've tried fighting Seph in KH2 probably 30 times and haven't beat him. I got him to defeat 2 times….but I couldn't land the finishing blow cause it takes a finishing combo, which is disabled when your MP is charging...which usually is cause of healing and such. Seph in KHI...farest I think I've ever got was taking out a single HP bar.
Hardest Boss? You mean, besides anything that SNK has ever done? Because their fighting game bosses are the stuff of evil legends. Hard as HELL, but I love every minute of it. You know you're a fucking MAN when you can take on Magaki (range attack master/whore) with Gesse "The Muthafuckin' Man" Howard (a close-ranger), and not be taken down.
Other than SNK's beasts, the hardest I can recall was Ghaleon, from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. The final version. God, I fought him over and over for hours, then I didn't know you could die during the story sequence after him, and…
...I don't wanna talk about it...

Uh, that's only if you have Berserk on.
That, and magic counts as a "finishing blow" in that game, sooooooo.

Oh yeah, that reminds me of another boss fight from hell.
The Divine Dragon, the first time you have to fight him. It took me almost an hour to kill him. Right now in the game (haven't played it in over two years), I'm fighting his soul, and can't beat him. I suck at RPGs.
Gill from Street Fighter 3: Double Impact.
Oh fuck I hate Gill
What kind of assholes program a boss to BRING HIMSELF BACK TO LIFE after he's KO'd
That reminds me of Raoh in HNK as well. But for some reason he never gave me as much trouble.

Xaldin can be pretty easy if you use reflect and the learn/jump reaction command.

I believe that's a super move Gill has. So if he has his super bar charged (I forgot by how much), he'll automatically revive, so you have to bank on him using another super move on you if you want to knock him out immediately. But I don't know about Double Impact, I only played the Third Strike version of SF3.
Yeah, i always tried to lure him into using supers before trying to KO him… which added another layer of difficulty to that battle.
Even still, Gill's always going to get a little bit of health back from Resurrection before your attack hit him. Especially since Resurrection PUSHES YOU AWAY FROM HIM.
Can't stand that bastard.
What kind of retarded villain has "TURN EVERYONE BLUE AND RED" as their ultimate goal
I mean honestly
You know who was fucking cheap? That asshole leopaldon.I took me a good while to beat him
@Cap'n:

Certainly not M. Bison, that's for sure…
It's not even that Gill's AI was tough, or that his general moveset gave him strategic advantages (i.e. the KoF bosses), he just had a handful of retarded moves that made fighting him just plain stupid.
@Radical:

Yeah. Certain characters could trash Leopaldon with no trouble [Ky], and others were like "WELL LA DE DAAAAAA~" [Potemkin].
And yeah, Gill's entire moveset is basically chock full of shit that just out-prioritizes everything you do.
Basically Gill's regular and special moves would freeze or burn you, along with pushing you back a decent amount. I never had luck with getting him to use up his special bar before I kill him. So it was basically a waiting game trying to not get hit.
That Dragon in Vagrant Story. I swear, I had to chain 50 hit 1 dmg per hit combos in order to kill it. Nuts.
Ruby and Emerald Weapon in FF7. Even with KotR and Omnislash going off, one fook and everyone died.
Proto-Ultima in FFXI Online (You wouldn't understand unless you've played it)
Dynamis Lord (FFXI)
Final boss in Dragon Quest IV. Just when you think he's dead… he sprouts ANOTHER HEAD, or ANOTHER PAIR OF ARMS. It was insane.
The hidden Bosses in Wild Arms 2.
Wow, uh. Fuck Ultimate Rugal. Can't even beat him on the easiest difficulty.
EVERYTHING he does has more priority than anything you do. His normals are better. His specials [FUCK THAT GODDAMN RISING KICK HE HAS] are better. Won't even get into G-End and his other super, especially if he has the goddamn K Groove.
Moronic boss. Just plain moronic.
N.Gin in Crash Bandicoot 3.Yeah,its not THE hardest boss fight in the world, but out of all the 3 original ps Bandicoot games, hes the toughest,I mean, unlike Brio who in CB 1 had more "lives" N.Gin has less, but each you must strike an awfull lot of times.I mean, when I first played the game years ago,I let my dad (who is also a fan of the series) play, cause I couldnt handle it and he did it.I managed a long time afterwards. And even though I never beat N.GIn I stil defeated Cortex ,meaning the FINAL boss is easier then the penultimate.

Honestly try Bison against him. Ultimate Rugal spams reppukens, which leaves him completely open for a psycho crusher. Bison's mid and high kicks also have insane priority, and devil reverse works brillantly to confuse him and make him use his shitty cutting kick bullshit, as Bison lands earlier you can punish him this way.
He's not spamming Reppuken, though. He's actually doing mix-ups [largely through throwing], poking, and baiting attacks so he can stuff them with his rising kick bullshit.
He does, like, one Reppuken per match.
Igniz, Goenitz, and Omega Rugal. Prime examples of SNK Boss Syndrome.
God/Ultimate Rugal was never THAT hard, IMO. I've fought alot worse from the KoF series. It took some tries, but I got him. And Shin Akuma is just pathetic. I was expecting another intense round of fighting (I fought him after God Rugal; I wanted to unlock the boss version of Rugal first, obviously), and I killed the guy on my first try. Like night and day, those two.
Then again, it does make a good comparison between SNK bosses and Capcom ones (Gill not withstanding). =P
Ultimate Rugal is bullshit because:
If he didn't have those, he wouldn't be that difficult. Just fuck it if you get hit by his rising kick WHILE he's enraged with K Groove.
Wow, people still lose to Ultimate Rugal is CVS2? I make that guy my bitch everytime I fight him. I actually had more difficulty with mid-bosses like Geese than Rugal.
SORRY THAT WE ARE BUT PEASANTS AT THE HORRIBLE GAME THAT IS CVS2, LORD GAARA.
pfffffffffffffft
Yes, every game u suck at is horrible Gohn. Geez, lighten up a bit.
